Chapter 314: Chapter 182: Give Me a Reason Not to Kill You

Just a moment ago, Tie Feiyang had been so terrified his face was deathly pale and his legs were too weak to stand. He thought he was truly going to meet his end here today.

Who would have known that in the blink of an eye, the tables would be completely turned.

It all happened so fast that no one else even saw what had occurred.

But he let out a sharp sigh of relief. The great boulder that had been crushing his chest finally fell away, leaving only boundless, joyful surprise.

He wanted nothing more than to roar, "Brother Wan, you’re fucking awesome!"

Then he shot a vicious glare at the man standing not far from Wan Ze, thinking through gritted teeth: ’Tian Guipu, you’re fucking finished! Brother Wan will beat you like a dog!’

...

It was as if the hall had fallen silent, so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

But everyone knew this was more like the calm after a storm.

All sound seemed to have been sucked away by that last punch.

The aftermath of the clashing Power still lingered faintly in the air.

It was like a pool of muddied water that would take a long time to clear, but right now, no one was concerned with such details.

...

"COUGH... COUGH COUGH..."

Tian Guipu’s body staggered.

His right hand hung limply at his side. The entire arm was a bruised, reddish-purple color from shoulder to fingertip, with no part of it left unscathed.

His fingers were bent at an unnatural angle, clearly broken.

His chest heaved violently, each breath like the straining of a bellows, and a gurgling, rattling sound came from his throat.

He continuously coughed up fresh blood. With every cough, more blood came out, and his face grew a shade paler.

He looked up in disbelief, his eyes wide as he stared at the face before him—a face even younger than his own.

He had practiced martial arts for fourteen years.

Ever since he was fourteen, he had woken before dawn for stance training and wouldn’t return until after dark.

He held his stances in the snow during winter and practiced his punches under the scorching sun in summer.

The skin on his palms had been worn away and regrown, layer by layer; his knees had swelled from the strain time and time again.

Even his master had called him a gifted prodigy. He had reached the Refining Viscera Late Stage before the age of thirty and was guaranteed to break through to the Refining Force Realm within three years.

And yet, a genius like him had been defeated by... a Martial Artist from Dragon Eagle who was so young.

A Martial Artist whose name he had never even heard before.

"You..." Tian Guipu’s lips moved, but he only managed to get out a single word before a surge of blood welled up in his throat, choking back everything he wanted to say.

"To be able to take a punch like that from me, you’re certainly an expert," Wan Ze said.

After his Soldier Resolution, all his Attributes had skyrocketed.

With the Power of the punch he had just thrown, if he had been fighting someone like Liu Chongyue, he could have blown their body apart with a single strike.

A Martial Artist of that caliber wouldn’t have lasted even a second against Wan Ze in his peak condition.

Yet Tian Guipu had managed to endure it. He even still had the strength to stand and speak.

This was proof enough that he had trained his Five Viscera and Six Bowels to an exceptionally high Realm.

His Cultivation at the Refining Viscera Late Stage was not just for show.

Tian Guipu stared at him blankly.

His gaze was losing focus, and his body temperature was dropping rapidly. He could feel his life slipping away, bit by bit, like sand leaking through his fingers, impossible to hold on to no matter how tightly he clenched his fist.

"I... I’m so unwilling to accept this..." he said with great difficulty. "If I hadn’t exhausted myself last night... If I had been... fully... prepared... I absolutely wouldn’t be the one losing..."

His eyes were filled with indignation, anger, and the humiliation of a genius toppled by a mere mortal.

Tian Guipu refused to accept his defeat. He felt that he hadn’t lost to Wan Ze, but to bad luck, to poor timing, to every possible excuse that shouldn’t have been a reason at all.

"Perhaps," Wan Ze said nonchalantly.

He walked forward slowly and reached out, resting his right hand on the sword propped against the stone pillar. A thin layer of dust coated its blade.

When Wan Ze gripped it, the dust was instantly shaken clean.

He continued, his voice as calm as if he were discussing something mundane, "I would have liked to have a fair and open fight with you. But it’s a shame I didn’t give you enough time for your sneak attack. My mistake. Are you satisfied with that?"

"You!!!"

Tian Guipu heard the mockery dripping from Wan Ze’s words.

This guy’s words were enough to make a man die with his eyes wide open in rage.

He was using the tone of someone ’trying to be reasonable’ while saying, "You couldn’t even beat me with a sneak attack."

Tian Guipu was filled with such hatred.

His eyes suddenly shot wide, his pupils reflecting Wan Ze’s calm face.

Like a final burst of life before death, a surge of unknown energy coursed through his body. His back straightened for an instant, his chin lifted, and his lips parted...

He wanted to say something.

Perhaps he wanted to ask, "Do you know who I am?!"

Or maybe, "Do you have any idea what the Divine Martial Society is?!"

Or even, "If you kill me, no one in this world can protect you!"

But his Five Viscera and Six Bowels had already been torn to shreds.

The internal organs he had spent over a decade tempering were now like a pile of shattered porcelain, the fragments scattered within his chest cavity, each piece cutting his flesh and draining his blood.

When he opened his mouth, blood gushed out, blocking his throat and stopping all the words he wanted to say.

Tian Guipu’s wide eyes were filled with indignation as his pupils contracted violently, as if in a final struggle.

His will to live forced him to speak, his voice muffled and indistinct, "Save me... What happened today... Divine Martial won’t..."

"SHLICK—"

A searing flash of white light streaked past.

The sword was drawn from the stone pillar, carving a perfect arc through the air.

The arc was short, narrow, and precise.

It sliced into the right side of Tian Guipu’s neck and exited through the left, meeting no resistance along the way.
