Chapter 570: Chapter 566: Sudden Wealth

"Where in the manor is the inner vault?"

Fang Han asked again.

The gray-robed man didn’t dare to conceal the truth and quickly revealed the vault’s location.

Fang Han questioned him further. When the gray-robed man could no longer offer any valuable information and only pleaded repeatedly for his life, Fang Han knew the man was of no further use to him.

He didn’t hesitate for a moment.

The Cloud Splitting Sword flashed from its sheath, swiftly slitting the gray-robed man’s throat.

SPURT.

A thin red line appeared on the gray-robed man’s throat. The terror and pleading in his eyes froze instantly before the light within them faded. His head lolled to the side, and he breathed no more.

’Yan Wuji returned in a rush to retrieve something and left right away. He’s clearly abandoned this place and won’t be coming back...’

Fang Han glanced toward the manor, rapidly weighing his options.

’Even if I report this location to the Sect, I can’t just lie in wait for Yan Wuji to return.’

’It’s better to keep this place a secret, claim its wealth for myself, and "deposit" it into the system panel.’

’I’ll do it!’

His decision made, Fang Han moved at once.

With a flicker, he simultaneously activated the Wind God Step and Ghost Shadow.

His aura vanished. Like a whisper of wind melting into the forest shadows, he sped back toward the manor.

Reaching the manor’s outer wall, he leaped lightly, tapping the top with his foot. His body drifted into the courtyard like a falling leaf, his landing silent.

HUM—

The locations of the four remaining Martial Artists in the manor appeared clearly in his senses.

They were located in a side room of the front courtyard, a small chamber on the east side, the rear courtyard, and the pavilion near the inner vault.

WHOOSH!

Fang Han moved.

His azure robes left a faint afterimage in the mist, moving faster than the naked eye could follow.

Within a few breaths, he reached the side room in the front courtyard.

He shattered the door with a swing of his sword and pushed his way inside. On the bed lay a burly man.

Hearing the door break open, the man jolted awake and tried to sit up.

HISS—

Fang Han thrust his sword from a distance. A condensed beam of Sword Qi shot out, striking the man squarely between the eyes.

A hole appeared between the man’s eyebrows. His body went limp and fell back onto the bed, lifeless.

Fang Han left the room without breaking stride, heading for the small chamber on the east side.

He broke down the door and saw a man inside, sitting cross-legged in Cultivation.

Hearing the noise, the man’s eyes flew open. Seeing Fang Han enter, he was about to shout in alarm.

SWISH—

Fang Han swung his sword from across the room. A flash of Sword Qi sliced across the man’s throat, cutting off his cry before it could escape.

A line of blood appeared on his throat. The man clutched at it, his eyes filled with disbelief as he collapsed to the floor.

Leaving the room, Fang Han raced toward the rear courtyard.

The man in the rear courtyard was the most vigilant. Hearing the faint noise, he immediately reached for the saber beside him.

But as a mere Fourth-Grade Martial Artist, his vigilance was useless.

SHLICK—

Fang Han flickered, closing the distance like a phantom. The sword in his hand flashed across the man’s throat.

Blood gushed from his neck. The man’s hand never reached his saber as he collapsed to the ground with a THUD.

The last one was the Fifth-Grade Martial Artist in the pavilion.

He seemed to have heard the thud of the body falling. He gripped his saber hilt tightly, his eyes darting around nervously.

Fang Han stepped out from the shadows. With only one man left, there was no need to worry about being discovered.

"Who?!"

The Fifth-Grade Martial Artist bellowed, his saber already out of its sheath.

Fang Han didn’t reply. He simply raised his hand and thrust his sword forward.

The flash of his sword was like lightning, leaving only a blur in its wake.

The Fifth-Grade Martial Artist swung his saber to block with all his strength, but a violent jolt shot through his hand, and the weapon flew from his grasp.

The Cloud Splitting Sword, its momentum unchecked, pierced the Fifth-Grade Martial Artist’s throat.

Fang Han withdrew his sword. His robes were not stained with a single drop of blood.

He got his bearings and headed straight for the inner vault, its location learned from the earlier interrogation.

The inner vault was in a separate courtyard in the deepest part of the manor. The gate was shut tight, secured by a massive brass lock.

Arriving at the gate, Fang Han drew his Cloud Splitting Sword. A condensed beam of Sword Qi slashed out like a bolt of lightning.

CLANG—

With a sharp crack, the brass lock split apart and fell to the ground, its severed edges as smooth as glass.

Fang Han pushed the door open and entered.

The vault was dimly lit, but that couldn’t conceal the palpable aura of treasure that washed over him.

As Fang Han’s gaze swept across the room, he couldn’t help but feel a jolt of shock.

On the wooden shelves to the left were hundreds of neatly stacked Jade Boxes. Their lids were ajar, revealing Spirit Grass of various hues that emitted a rich, medicinal aroma.

To the right, a mountain of rare ores glowed with an eerie light in the dimness. There were fire crystals as red as blood, profound ice iron as blue as the deep sea, and heavy, earth-yellow Gen Yue stones... all of them were top-level materials for Artifact Refining and Alchemy.

In the center, dozens of agarwood chests sat half-open. The treasures inside reflected a tempting light—countless Gemstones, jade discs, and pearls were scattered within, glittering brilliantly.

’An astonishing fortune,’ Fang Han murmured, ’and this probably isn’t even everything the Tiejiang Gang owned...’

A sharp glint flashed in his eyes.

’With only one day, and the need for secrecy, the Tiejiang Gang couldn’t possibly have moved all of their assets.’

’What’s here is likely just a fraction of the Tiejiang Gang’s total wealth.’

Even so, it was still an astonishing fortune.

’Are those... Martial Arts Secret Manuals?’

Fang Han’s gaze shifted to the far end of the vault, where he saw a bookshelf piled high with Martial Arts Secret Manuals.

Recalling that the Tiejiang Gang had obtained Grandmaster Martial Arts from the excavated Grandmaster’s Tomb and were its greatest beneficiaries, Fang Han’s heart pounded. He strode forward and began to leaf through the manuals.

He pulled one out. The cover read *Fierce Fire Palm*. He flipped through a few pages and saw it was only a Mid-grade Martial Arts technique.

He picked up another, *Wandering Body Step*. It too was only a Mid-grade Martial Arts technique.

He leafed through a dozen more manuals, but the highest Grade he found was merely a Top Grade Martial Arts.

’Yan Wuji must have taken the Grandmaster Martial Arts and Top Martial Arts with him!’

Fang Han surmised.

Before he left, Yan Wuji must have taken all the most precious Grandmaster Martial Arts and top-level secret manuals.

The ones left behind were merely common stock.

He wasn’t picky, however. He stuffed all the Martial Arts manuals from the shelf into his Storage Ring.

Although these Martial Arts were ordinary, they would be more than enough to supplement the Fang Family’s collection.

’Now for the treasure.’

Fang Han took a deep breath and summoned the translucent system panel.

[Host: Fang Han]

[Root Bone Talent Amplification: 256x (10,000,000 Gold for Ninth Level Amplification)]

[Swordsmanship Talent Amplification: 256x (10,000,000 Gold for Ninth Level Amplification)]

[Stepping Talent Amplification: 256x (10,000,000 Gold for Ninth Level Amplification)]

[Secret Technique Talent Amplification: 128x (1,000,000 Gold for Level 8 Amplification)]

[Horizontal Training Talent Amplification: 256x (10,000,000 Gold for Ninth Level Amplification)]

[Current Wealth: 1,500,000 Gold]

"Deposit."

Fang Han reached out and touched the treasures. As his hand made contact, the items in the vault vanished one by one, as if erased by an invisible hand, disappearing completely in an instant.

Meanwhile, the numbers on his panel began to skyrocket.

[Current Wealth: 1,500,000 Gold → 3,500,000 Gold]

[Current Wealth: 3,500,000 Gold → 5,800,000 Gold]

[Current Wealth: 5,800,000 Gold → 8,200,000 Gold]

[Current Wealth: 8,200,000 Gold → 10,500,000 Gold]

[Current Wealth: 10,500,000 Gold → 11,210,000 Gold]

"11,210,000 Gold!"

Fang Han stared at the final total, an unconcealable, burning excitement gleaming in the depths of his eyes.

His wealth had surpassed ten million Gold, enough to unlock one Ninth Level Amplification. By looting this vault, he had indeed gathered the fortune he needed.

His only regret was that this was far from the Tiejiang Gang’s entire treasury. Otherwise, his fortune might have been several times larger.
