Chapter 1162: Chapter 385: Broken Bridge Tide, Su Yue’s Home Turf

One could only say that Mu Cheng’s aptitude was far superior to his own.

The entire audience erupted into an uproar. The students of West Martial, in particular, knew that Mu Cheng was at the late-stage of the Fourth Grade, yet she had still seemed to be a ways off from the Great Perfection. How had she suddenly broken through?

Was it because of Su Yue, or because of that sword? Regardless of the reason, Senior Mu Cheng’s breakthrough was a monumental event for West Martial. Every student from West Martial burst into cheers.

Meanwhile, the students of East Martial were growing anxious. Mu Cheng had already broken through, but Feng Jiajia was still languishing at the late-stage of the Fourth Grade. They had been outpaced by West Martial once again.

“Su Yue, thank you,” Mu Cheng said with sincere gratitude as she walked over.

It was all thanks to him this time. The Creation Sword was an invaluable treasure. Not only could she now control the blade with her mind, but she also gained a passive defensive shield. If she were ever ambushed, the sword shield would block the incoming damage. Even a Grandmaster wouldn’t be able to instantly kill her in a single move. This was effectively an extra life.

As for the sword’s toughness and sharpness, it was undeniably top-tier—that went without saying. After all, it had once been the weapon of a Ninth Grade alien race expert. The previously concerning issue of durability was no longer a problem, as the Creation Sword’s durability was practically infinite.

“No need to be so polite. We’re all family,” Su Yue replied, pinching her nose again. The tactile sensation was wonderful.

“You’re going to pinch my nose into an internet celebrity’s! Get your hands off.” Mu Cheng pouted affectionately and rolled her eyes at him before turning to Mu Jingliang. “Dad, I’m going to exterminate the Evil Lice.”

“Do you have enough Qi Blood?” Mu Jingliang asked.

“I just broke through, so I’m at my absolute peak!” After saying that, Mu Cheng walked toward the Evil Spirit Broken Bridge once more.

“Where is her sword?” a vice principal of Nanwu asked.

While her breakthrough was a joyous occasion, how could she kill the Evil Lice without a weapon in hand? Many exchanged confused glances, sharing the exact same question. The Creation Sword from earlier had vanished.

“Look, Mu Cheng’s sword!” another exclamation rang out.

Gasps of shock echoed throughout the entire audience. It was incredibly cool.

Mu Cheng raised her arm high, and the Creation Sword slowly emerged from the palm of her hand. It appeared out of thin air, much like a tender shoot breaking through the soil. It was as wondrous as a magic trick.

“Su Yue’s axe can be thrown into the clouds, and Mu Cheng’s sword can be hidden inside her body. This couple’s weapons are truly enviable.” Bai Xiaolong’s eyes were slightly red, burning with the flames of jealousy.

“Why isn’t this sword mine? Why isn’t it mine?” Meng Yang muttered under his breath, his vicious hands still vigorously massaging Xueyang’s wounds. Jealousy twisted his features into an ugly scowl. “Damn it, how unlucky. I accidentally got too rough. Why did you squirm? So dirty, bah.”

“Please let me go, and I’ll get you a sword too,” Xueyang pleaded, sounding desperate.

Beaten to such a miserable state, he couldn’t even run away now. This was the first time in his life he had ever suffered such humiliation. Deep down, he was genuinely terrified of Meng Yang. This guy didn’t even spare his Hua Ju—he was a true pervert.

“Xueyang, not only did you fucking ruin my handsome face, but you’re also insulting my intelligence.

“If you had a sword like that, why didn’t you use it yourself?

“You dishonest little animal,” Meng Yang spat, his face pale with anger.

SWISH SWISH SWISH!

SWISH SWISH SWISH!

A rain of swords descended. The swarm of Evil Lice that had seemingly been mocking Mu Cheng instantly exploded like a firework. Yes, it was truly a rain of swords.

Compared to the scene from before, Mu Cheng’s strength had experienced a qualitative leap. The crowd couldn’t even follow her sword techniques. In their eyes, she clearly swung only once, yet the sky instantly filled with a barrage of sword light, completely defying all common sense.

The Evil Lice Gang rapidly perished at a speed visible to the naked eye. This time, Mu Cheng was confident and composed, acting as if the bugs were beneath her notice. Even after wiping out four-fifths of them, she remained thoroughly unruffled. The expression on her pretty face was as calm as still water, showing absolutely no signs of strain. One had to remember that this had been her absolute limit just moments ago!

They had won!

The Grandmasters beamed with delight. In truth, it wasn’t just the Grandmasters; even the ordinary Martial Artists knew perfectly well that Mu Cheng was guaranteed to succeed this time.

Several staff members from the Research Institute smiled bitterly, their hearts filled with mixed feelings. The Research Institute was happy for Mu Cheng and for all the young Martial Artists across the Divine Land. With the threat of the Evil Spirit Broken Bridge resolved, the strength of the Divine Land’s younger generation would rise to a whole new level.

However, they also felt profoundly defeated. In the end, the Research Institute had been reduced to nothing more than outsiders during this entire incident. They were overwhelmed by a combination of frustration and worry.

Their research into martial arts artifacts had gradually slammed into an insurmountable wall. If there were no further breakthroughs in the Wetlands, their future would only grow increasingly difficult. The Divine Land Research Institute was currently like a raging inferno. While the flames appeared to be towering and fierce, only they themselves knew that they were running out of fuel. If no new firewood was added, this fire would eventually burn out. To make matters worse, the government had allocated massive amounts of funding, yet the Research Institute had failed to produce any meaningful results. The pressure on everyone was immense.

Cheers erupted once again as Mu Cheng finally eliminated the very last of the bugs.

With the total eradication of the Evil Lice, the Spiritual Qi shrouding the Evil Spirit Broken Bridge seemed to become clearer, leaving everyone feeling thoroughly refreshed. Even without stepping onto the bridge, Martial Artists within a ten-mile radius could feel their Qi Rings stirring restlessly. They felt as though they were being nourished by the Spiritual Qi, basking in the exceptional comfort of a hot spring.

Principal Nanwu grinned from ear to ear. As long as the Evil Spirit Broken Bridge remained at Nanwu, this place would serve as a natural Cultivation Sacred Land.
