Martial Arts: I Have a Wilderness World
Chapter 691 - 349: Hundred Poisons Body
Chapter 691: Chapter 349: Hundred Poisons Body
After sending his cousin back, Cheng Zongyang entered the Hall of Ten Thousand Races with a solemn expression.
In the Preservation Space, Cheng Zongyang retrieved the dagger.
Looking at the few drops of deep red blood, he initiated an appraisal.
When he saw the results, his breath caught in his throat.
——
[Poisonous Blood]
Description: A special drop of Poisonous Blood, free of any external toxins, produced by a Hundred Poisons Body. Its toxicity increases as the Physique is enhanced.
Toxicity: Medium
Points: 0
——
Reading the words "Hundred Poisons Body," Cheng Zongyang finally understood.
It was just as he’d suspected!
His little cousin truly possessed a special Physique!
’No wonder she’s been so interested in poisons since she was a child. It must be in her blood!’ Cheng Zongyang sighed.
But his brow quickly furrowed.
’The Hundred Poisons Body... just from the name, it doesn’t sound like a good thing. I’m afraid it will affect her future Lifespan.’
’People with these kinds of special Physiques almost always have a difficult path ahead of them.’
’My cousin’s talent is honestly terrifying. Not only does she have an Immortal Body, but a Hundred Poisons Body on top of that.’
’She’s even more of a prodigy than one of heaven’s chosen!’
’No, I have to seal her Hundred Poisons Body before the poison in her blood grows any stronger. Otherwise, if there’s an accident in the future, or if her physique advances into a Thousand Poisons or Myriad Poisons Body along with her Cultivation, we’ll be screwed. The people closest to her would be the first to suffer. The guilt would kill her. Having an Immortal Body is more than enough.’
With this in mind, Cheng Zongyang went to find Luo Dingran.
"Sir," Luo Dingran said with a cupped-fist salute.
Cheng Zongyang quickly explained his purpose.
After learning Cheng Zongyang’s purpose, Luo Dingran didn’t ask many questions, but he could tell from his master’s demeanor that the matter was urgent.
Therefore, he immediately canceled another purchase request and replaced it with one seeking a viable, permanent method for sealing a Hundred Poisons Body.
As Luo Dingran posted the request for information, Cheng Zongyang also thought of two possible solutions.
’The first is to make my cousin a Soul Slave. She would get a new body, solving the problem, as long as her Divine Soul remained her own.’
’The second is to have her enter the Realm of Ten Thousand Races from the Cultivation Immortality Realm, and then I could create a special rule just to seal her Hundred Poisons Body. But that rule would only be effective within the Realm of Ten Thousand Races.’
But the outcome of the first option would be the same: she would be unable to leave the Realm of Ten thousand Races.
’He could now send people directly to Territory Two, but his own Territory One didn’t have this rule, so she wouldn’t be able to move about there. This was a limitation of the Ring Spirit’s authority; the rules he made couldn’t cover the entire realm yet. Their effects were limited to those who entered via Territory Two.’
’This would only change if, one day, the Ring Spirit gained true control over the entire, vast Realm of Ten Thousand Races, allowing his rules to extend everywhere.’
The thought had barely formed before he dismissed it. Unless it was a true last resort, a matter of life and death, both options would only end up trapping his cousin inside.
"Sir," Luo Dingran reminded him, "for information-based inquiries like this, we can usually expect a response within a day."
Cheng Zongyang nodded and left the trading room.
The Hundred Poisons Body wasn’t a new development, nor was this its most dangerous stage. There was no need to be overly anxious for now.
Of course, he also took the dagger to find Zhang Jinquan in the Alchemy Room.
Perhaps he would have some ideas.
Upon hearing about the Hundred Poisons Body, Zhang Jinquan was deeply impressed. "A Physique like this... it’s the perfect subject for a Poison Master or a Pharmacist. It would be a waste to seal it."
Cheng Zongyang just stared at him.
Seeing this, Zhang Jinquan gave an awkward laugh. "Sir, as for a solution, besides asking Steward Luo to find a Sealing Technique as you’ve done, there are no other normal methods."
Without waiting for Cheng Zongyang to ask, he quickly added, "There is, however, an unconventional method. An Exploration Team once dug up a fragmented ancient book from some mountain ruins. We believe those ruins were a domain of Demons."
"The fragmented text recorded a type of Spirit Monster called a Demon Seed Mountain Demon. It’s a Demon born of nature itself that specializes in siphoning the Origin and Essence Qi from living creatures."
"Sir, the core of your cousin’s Hundred Poisons Body is the Origin of Poison. To allow the Mountain Demon to absorb it, you would need an item containing Wood Spirit Origin to assist the process."
"While it is being siphoned, the Wood Spirit Origin is used to replenish and restore her body until the Origin of Poison is completely drawn out, effectively stripping away the Hundred Poisons Body. With the Wood Spirit Origin for replenishment, the subject won’t suffer any life-threatening harm."
"But the biggest problem is that her foundation will be damaged. If you don’t have other Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures to replenish her afterward, she can forget about Cultivation Immortality or Martial Arts, and her Lifespan will be shortened."
Cheng Zongyang shook his head as soon as he finished listening.
’That’s completely unacceptable.’
He didn’t elaborate, though. After all, this wasn’t a simple matter of neutralizing a poison. Having learned what he needed, he didn’t press the matter further.
After leaving the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, Cheng Zongyang thought for a moment and decided he should speak with his second uncle and aunt. He didn’t want them to be caught unaware if Zongyan got hurt and her blood happened to get on a family member.
As expected, when his second uncle and aunt heard the news, their faces were filled with shock and disbelief.
But Cheng Zongyang quickly reassured them, saying he would find a way to bring her physique back to normal. For now, he simply urged them to do their best to prevent her from getting injured.
「The next day.」
Cheng Zongyang entered the Realm of Ten Thousand Races again, and Luo Dingran handed him the information he had transcribed.
Cheng Zongyang took it and began to read carefully.
There were two methods.
The first method was similar to what Zhang Jinquan had described. It involved finding someone with the same type of Origin but of a higher Grade—someone with a Thousand Poisons Body or a Myriad Poisons Body—and having them directly absorb the Origin of her Hundred Poisons Body.
This type of same-source absorption was highly targeted and wouldn’t cause major damage to the body’s foundation. The only concern would be replenishing the body’s deficit after the Origin was removed.
The second was a sealing method, the kind he had been thinking of, called the Yin Yang Spirit Sealing Technique.
The seal would prevent the Origin of Poison from strengthening and also stop it from affecting the blood, rendering it non-toxic. However, the Origin of Poison itself would remain.
Sealing the Origin of Poison required long-term suppression, and the seal itself required Energy. This Energy could only be drawn from the subject’s own body.
For an ordinary person, this meant they would require long-term nourishment with rich Primordial Qi. Otherwise, the seal would absorb their own qi and blood, draining their body and shortening their Lifespan.
For a Cultivator, it meant their cultivation speed would be affected. Furthermore, if the Energy supply ever became insufficient to maintain the seal, the Sealing Technique would collapse. The long-suppressed Origin would then erupt, rapidly devouring the Cultivator’s own Spiritual Power or their Primordial Qi and blood.
The consequences were easy to imagine.
The seal could also be released at any time. However, the longer it was suppressed, the greater the backlash from the Origin upon release, requiring an immediate and massive infusion of Primordial Qi.
"Sir," Luo Dingran said, "I inquired about the price of the Yin Yang Spirit Sealing Technique. The complete set costs thirty thousand Points, which isn’t considered expensive. I also learned that this Sealing Secret Technique can be used on various Physiques, and it can even seal a Primordial Spirit."
Cheng Zongyang was surprised. "A Primordial Spirit?"
Luo Dingran nodded. "A Cultivator’s Primordial Spirit, yes, but not the kind possessed by a Divinity Transformation Cultivator."
Cheng Zongyang understood.
"Did you buy it?" Cheng Zongyang asked.
Luo Dingran nodded and retrieved a small box from a shelf. Inside were two books: an instruction manual and the original text of the Secret Technique.
Cheng Zongyang took it and nodded. "Good work. Was there anything else?"
Luo Dingran shook his head slightly.
And so, Cheng Zongyang left with the books.
For the next dozen or so days, Cheng Zongyang didn’t leave Cheng Family Village, nor did he pay any mind to matters in Wenxian City. He focused solely on studying the Yin Yang Spirit Sealing Technique.
The technique wasn’t particularly difficult to learn. In thirteen days, he had mastered the basics.
After testing it on a few mountain creatures and confirming there were no issues, Cheng Zongyang went to his second uncle to explain the situation.
And so, at his second uncle’s home, Cheng Zongyang performed the Sealing Technique on his cousin, Cheng Zongyan.
The process was slow, but thankfully, there were no complications.
Once the Sealing Technique was complete, Cheng Zongyang took out a new Cultivation Technique: the True Martial Refining God Skill.
This was the technique he had promised to exchange for two Soul Crystals. The next two Soul Crystals he obtained wouldn’t be converted into Points or other rewards, as they were payment for this.
Of course, he also had the Ring Spirit prepare the Cultivation Technique in two formats: one, a ball of light for direct infusion, and two, a transcribed manual.
He kept the transcribed manual for himself, while the ball of light would be used directly on Cheng Zongyan.
This way, the knowledge would be integrated into her memory, recompiled by the Ring Spirit into a format she could easily understand.
However, neither the light orb nor the manual came with the wealth of cultivation experience that his own version of the technique had. It was simply a re-translation designed to be understandable for his cousin.
This method of integrating a Cultivation Technique was a secret known only to Cheng Zongyang and his young cousin. After the successful infusion, Cheng Zongyang warned her repeatedly not to tell anyone outside of the family.
Cheng Zongyan, of course, promised she would.
Next, Cheng Zongyang took out a Tier One, Upper Grade Magical Treasure Space and set it up in the rear courtyard of the Martial Arts Hall.
