"My mommy’s cooking is still the best."

Anne Sutton looked at the two childish kids, took out the food, and said, "Time to eat! Nothing can keep your little mouths quiet."

"Thank you, Mommy!"

While Anne Sutton was taking care of the children, Master Linden came downstairs.

Butler Shepherd was helping him. He saw Anne Sutton and asked, "Where’s Nathan?"

Anne Sutton said, "He had a meeting this morning, so he went to that."

He said he’d be back later to have lunch with her.

Anne planned to go eat with him at her mother’s place then.

Master Linden looked at the food Anne Sutton had placed on the table.

Butler Shepherd asked, "Did Ms. Sutton make all of this?"

"..." Anne Sutton replied, "Mhm."

She glanced at Butler Shepherd, who looked like he wanted to say something but didn’t, and said, "I made some for Master Linden, too. Let’s eat together!"

Hearing this, Butler Shepherd was incredibly grateful. "Thank you, Ms. Sutton."

Anne Sutton said, "No need to thank me. Nathan Fawcett told me to make a portion for Master Linden whenever I cooked."

’Last night, Nathan Fawcett had spent a long time talking to me about Anne Sutton, saying so many good things about her.’

So this time, Master Linden didn’t try to undermine her.

He sat down and ate the food Anne Sutton had made.

Last night he had only had the soup, but today there were other dishes, all specially tailored for Master Linden by Anne Sutton.

It was Master Linden’s first time truly eating a meal made by Anne Sutton, and he genuinely hadn’t expected she could make food that tasted so good!

’This is amazing!’

Although he didn’t show it on his face, he was clearly enjoying the meal.

Butler Shepherd stood to the side, watching with relief as his master ate the dishes Anne Sutton had prepared.

Anne Sutton said, "I’ll be cooking for Ian for the next few days. If you like it, Master Linden, you can eat with us. But I heard you’re going to the countryside, so I guess that won’t be possible."

Butler Shepherd said, "That’s alright, Master Linden isn’t leaving for a few more days. We’ll have to trouble Ms. Sutton for the next few days, then."

Anne Sutton glanced at Butler Shepherd and said, "It’s no trouble. I’m cooking anyway."

Master Linden looked at Anne Sutton and said, "I hear you and Nathan aren’t planning to get married anymore."

Anne Sutton replied, "Isn’t that because I was afraid of marrying into the Linden Family and having you hate me? If someone doesn’t like me, I’m not going to force myself on them."

Master Linden cleared his throat and said, "I had some misunderstandings about you before. Before I leave, I would very much like to see you and Nathan together! I want to see you two get married! Nathan likes you a lot, so I hope he can get his wish. And if you’re together, you can also give Ian a complete family."

Anne Sutton looked at Master Linden and said, "So you don’t think I’m unworthy of your grandson anymore?"

Seeing that Anne Sutton was challenging him with every sentence, Master Linden said, "Well, there are plenty of people who aren’t good enough for Nathan!"

"..." Anne Sutton looked at the old man. She could feel his attitude had changed significantly!

But he was still too stubborn to admit it.

Anne Sutton couldn’t be bothered to call him out on it.

After the meal, Master Linden went for his check-up. Anne Sutton stayed home and had a lesson with the two children for a while.

...

Ryan Linden didn’t come over today. The man had been showing up every day recently, so his sudden absence felt a little strange to everyone.

Ryan Linden wasn’t just idling at home today, either. He picked up his phone and messaged the women he used to flirt with on WeChat, asking them out to dinner.

’I’m still very popular!’

Every time he went out, women would message him. There were plenty of women who wanted to be with him.

The thought of that fat sow Lana Langley actually wanting to divorce him was laughable. ’The audacity!’

He would find a young, beautiful woman right away and teach Lana a lesson. When the time came, even if she came crying and begging, he wouldn’t give her the time of day.

Feeling much better at this thought, Ryan Linden cleaned himself up, put on a pair of sunglasses he thought made him look cool, and went out.

In the restaurant, Ryan Linden looked at the beautiful woman, feeling great. He started the conversation, asking, "So, what do you do for work?"

"I’m an entrepreneur," the woman said, looking at Ryan Linden. "President Linden, does your company have any opportunities for collaboration recently? You should introduce me to some."

Hearing her mention collaboration, Ryan Linden frowned. "I’m not with the Linden Group anymore."

"What?" Hearing this, the woman looked at him in disbelief. "Why?"

She had saved Ryan Linden’s contact info as "President Linden, Linden Group." That was the only reason she had agreed to meet him.

’Otherwise, why would I have time to eat with this fatso?’

Ryan Linden said, "I don’t work at the Linden Group anymore. I’m preparing to start my own company."

In reality, he had no money and owed the Linden Group a huge debt. But if he told the truth—that he’d been fired—she would definitely look down on him.

He was a man who cared about his pride.

However, as soon as Ryan Linden finished speaking, the woman’s face fell. "If you’re not at the Linden Group anymore, what are you asking me out for?"

Ryan Linden looked shocked. "What do you mean? I can’t ask you out if I’m not at the Linden Group?"

The woman sneered. "Oh, President Linden, we’re all busy people. Who has time to have dinner with you!"

’He’s not with Linden Group, so why should I bother with him?’

After all, she only wanted to collaborate with Linden Group!

"What do you mean by that? Explain yourself!" Ryan Linden gritted his teeth. "You bitch, I remember you were the one who added me on WeChat. Now you turn on me just because you found out I’m not at the Linden Group?"

The woman sneered. "What did you expect? You’re so ugly, just eating with you makes me want to puke."

Ryan Linden: "..."

The woman’s words were blunt. Before he could even react, she was gone.

Ryan Linden sat there alone, so angry he almost flipped the table.

For all these years, he had worked at the Linden Group, and people had always been respectful to him. When had he ever suffered such humiliation?

To think that now, any random woman dared to humiliate him like this!

Unwilling to accept it, Ryan Linden messaged a few more women on WeChat. But in the end, every single one of them humiliated him after hearing he was no longer with the Linden Group.

He had originally wanted to find some beautiful women to prove his masculine charm, but now, Ryan Linden was starting to doubt himself.

’Was I just that bored that I decided to find a few crazy women to yell at me?’

’Women these days are unbelievable. Every one of them is more materialistic than the last!’

At the end of the day, he hadn’t managed to get a date, but he had spent a lot of money on meals.

Ryan Linden was furious. As he walked out of the restaurant, he saw Lana Langley with a young man.

The young man was walking behind Lana Langley, calling out, "Miss Langley."

The man had just finished a work meeting with a client alongside Lana Langley, so they were having a meal together.

Seeing that he couldn’t get a date while Lana Langley had a young stud by her side, Ryan Linden was about to explode with rage.

"Lana Langley!" Driven by the thought that if he couldn’t be happy, she shouldn’t be either, he rushed out and blocked her path.

The young man saw Ryan Linden and asked in confusion, "Miss Langley, is this a friend of yours?"

"I’m her husband!" Ryan Linden said, fuming.

Lana Langley looked at this man—not only was he fat, but he had a terrible temper and was utterly useless. For some reason, Ryan Linden’s appearance made her feel incredibly embarrassed for the first time.

She explained to her colleague, "Ex-husband."

"What did you say?" This made Ryan Linden lose his mind!
