Chapter 326 - 326: Ch 326: Arrival of the Magic Ship

As Weiss was getting a little bored of waiting and doing nothing for quite a few days, suddenly she got the news that the magic ship would be arriving the next day.

According to what the city lord had told them before, it was supposed to need more time. But somehow, it had managed to speed up and was arriving early.

Now Weiss actually felt glad that she had arrived in the city with extra time in hand. If she was trying to arrive just before the rumoured arrival date, then there would have been a high possibility of her missing the ship altogether because of this sudden change in schedule.

But fortunately that was not the case. So as soon as Weiss got the news, she started to make the final preparations.

Among the people present, the ones who would be seriously participating in the recruitment process of the magi were Weiss, Sakura and Taida. Elise and Alexis were also going to participate but without any serious aim of their own. Both of them just wished to accompany their mistress.

As for Evan, Frank and Toroda, they were not planning to participate at all. Evan had already undergone testing and it was found that he had absolutely no talent in this field.

As for Frank, it turned out that he had also touched a magic talent detection device in his childhood and it had not reacted to him at all. So he also did not have any talent for the arcane.

As for the meeting with the magus, that was something he was unable to say anything about for the time being. The ship needed to arrive first and the high and mighty magus also needed to accept his invitation. Or all the planning would be in vain.

As for his first agreement regarding the information, Ushida had already given it to Weiss. But unfortunately, It was not very useful.

Every time, a different organisations did the talent selection for the magus world and each organisation had their special methods.

Obviously even if it was bad, Weiss was definitely not planning to give up by any means but having a better talent was already something good.

That was the reason why before the big day, Weiss stopped feeling worried. She was ready to face everything with all her might no matter if it was good or bad.

From the information that Ushida had provided, Weiss had learned that this selection proceed was not a peaceful and violance free gathering. Several deaths had happened in previous sessions.

And finally, Weiss was wearing a modified noble's dress that had a short skirt for ease of movement and it was also quite tight for the same reason.

As for the men, they were dressed in the standard armour plus weapon combination. So there was absolutely nothing special about them.

And that was how everyone left their mansion and followed a servant sent by the city lord to go to the place where the magic ship was going to arrive.

And the place where Weiss and her group were taken to, it was before a single door, standing in the middle of nowhere. This definately was bizzare as there was nothing but the door here. But then, she though about a possibility but did not say anything. Seeing that Weiss was keeping her silence, all the people in her group also shut their mouths.

There were other people present and more were continuously arriving. But Weiss and her group had already secured a good spot so there was no reason for them to worry.

Then finally, the city lord Ushida arrived with a lot of guards. And he was holding a key in his hand. Then, before everyone surprised eyes, he came before the gate and inserted the key in it.

After that he gave the key a twirl and a click sound was heard as if a lock was being opened. Then he grabbed the handle of the door and opened it.

So what was going to be beyond the door ?
