Chapter 296 - 296: Ch 296: Sakura Getting Caught by an Old Knight

The next day, after waking up from their sleep, everyone immediately got ready to leave very early in the morning. They were doing that mostly to avoid seeing anyone who might be able to recognise Sakura.

Last night, Weiss had also told Sakura that it was a good idea to use some kind of disguise. As it looked like her father and her husband to be were actively searching for her, a disguise would be extremely helpful.

So in the morning, the very first thing that Weiss did was to give Sakura a disguise. She was quite good at this task and very soon, as Sakura looked at the mirror, she was having a hard time recognising her own self.

She still looked like someone from this nation but with a beauty mark beside her eyes and slight changes to her facial structure, she really looked like a completely different person. She also looked a lot more sensual than her usual self.

So with this, Sakura was sure that even her father would have a hard time recognising her. So Sakura was extremely satisfied with it. But as she was about to stood up from the chair, Weiss stopped her.

That was because Weiss was not done. She was not careless enough to just do one single layer of disguise. So next, she took out an item that looked like a brooch with the design of a blooming flower.

As soon as Weiss put that on her clothing, Sakura felt her body getting covered with a thin layer of light. Then she got the feeling that she would be able to manipulate this layer as she wished.

While a very curious Sakura was checking this out, Weiss started to explain this item to her. It was something that Evan had gotten for Weiss and this was capable of altering someone's looks with magic.

But this item was not perfect by any means. Even though it was capable of making someone to look like a different person, at the end of the day, it was still an illusion and nothing else. Her real body structure was not changing at all.

For this reason, powerful knights were easily capable of seeing through this item. It was not just ineffective on powerful grand knights like Weiss and Elise but even a decently strong high level knight should be able to see past it.

So this magic disguise was mostly to deceive regular people who were most probably the informants who had managed to discover Sakura and had reported her location to the spies of Sakura's father.

Now finally, all the preparations were done. There was a non magical item that Weiss wanted to give to Sakura which was a special kind of face mask but unfortunately, the material needed to make that were quite rare and currently Weiss did not have access to it.

Still, for the time being, Sakura should feel at least a little bit safer. But if trouble came their way even after that, then Weiss could always use the best method of problem solving which was violence and force.

After all the preparations were done, Weiss and her team left the inn and also the city. As the time was very early in the morning, there was not much traffic in front of the city gates, so everyone was able to leave the city quite quickly.

Then as all of them were getting ready to start running toward the next city, suddenly Weiss, Elise and Evan sensed a decently powerful presence coming toward them. This presence was quite fast too and it was going to reach them in a few minutes.

If Weiss, Elise and Evan started running now, then this presence would definitely be left behind. It was fast but not fast enough to match these three powerhouses.

But Weiss did not do so. It looked like the people chasing after Sakura were really capable of knowing about her location. So running away was a little useless.

With that in mind, Weiss felt that dealing with the problem now was the best solution. As the prey was coming to them anyways, there was no problem in taking it down and gathering some information in the process.

As Weiss told everyone to be careful and warned them about a fight breaking out, the powerful looking old man from before appeared in everyone's view. There were no weapons with him previously but now, he was holding a massive double bladed axe which actually looked very intimidating.

It was clear that this man was ready for a fight. And with the bloodlust that he was giving off, Weiss was sure that as soon he was in range, he was definitely going to swing his axe with the intention of killing.

So to not give him that opportunity, Weiss gave Elise a simple pat on her back. And as soon as she did so, Elise made her move and vanished from her location.

Then even before the old man could realise what was happening, he got hit at the back of his head. But, even with that, he tried his best in order to keep his eyes open and not faint. This was actually an amazing feat.

Even though it was just a casusl attack, this man did manage to withstand and not immediately faint from the attack of a grand knight. He could be proud of thia feat for the rest of his life.

But that did not help him in this situation. Even with his boosted vitality, Elise actually did not need to make a second move. Even though he did manage to stay awake for some time, soon his resistance failed and he finally fainted.

Koba was an orphan with an incredible physique which he used to earn money in not very good ways for the other orphans he was taking care of. But, even with his strength, he was ganged up on and was captured.

But the magistrate who was supposed to give him punishment for his crime took a liking to him and his powerful body. So instead of sending him to a jail, he took him and the other orphans in and decided to train them.
