Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!
Chapter 1018 - 1017: Plan to Escape This Hellhole
But Qin Xin didn’t find what she was looking for; instead, she came across a group of unfamiliar young people. After some inquiries, she discovered it was an examination venue for a wilderness survival test focused on hunting desert animals.
And some of these animals were incredibly ferocious!
They noticed Si Moyu’s strong physique and invited him to join, but they snubbed Bai Chi, the playboy, and Ao Xinghao, the lame guy.
Thankfully, as the oldest man in their small team of three, Si Moyu was a proper leader and did not abandon his two young companions. He firmly refused their invitation, leading his team to source water and avoid dangerous beasts, cautiously searching for Qin Xin’s trail.
Frustratingly, after several days and nights, they’d asked almost every examinee in the desert, and none had seen Qin Xin, until they reached... the beach at the desert’s edge.
They found a boat and planned to sail to a nearby city to use modern communication tools to gather information. However, unexpectedly, this sea area was also a testing ground.
This was disastrous.
They faced shark attacks, were swallowed and spat out by a whale, besieged by a swarm of sardines... After surviving by the skin of their teeth, each barely passed the test with a sesame-sized Spiritual Pearl.
Since none of them had personal identification, they borrowed the names of some examinees who drowned in the sea, bluffing their way through.
Combat at sea was too dangerous for them, causing serious injuries. Afterward, the three of them were sent directly to the hospital for recovery, missing the spiritual power entrance test, only registering today.
Due to Si Moyu’s tall and cold allure, Bai Chi’s sweet smile, and Ao Xinghao’s sweet talk, the registering instructor took a liking to them, chatting quite a bit about school rules and matters to note. So even as newcomers, they were well-acquainted with the "Small Black Room."
On their way to the boys’ dormitory earlier, they witnessed Qin Xin being escorted by two upperclassmen, sensing something wrong, and followed her.
Truly, searching a thousand times amidst the crowd, only to find her in a subtle glance under the dim lights.
Ao Xinghao succinctly recounted these experiences to Qin Xin, then pulled out her carefully preserved phone: "You dropped this in the garden. We’ve been keeping it safe the whole way, not letting it get wet, but..."
Qin Xin looked at the black screen of her phone, "But you don’t have a charging cable, right?"
Ao Xinghao scratched his head awkwardly, "Yeah, damn, the charging cables here are all different from ours. We don’t know if it will still work."
Qin Xin took the phone.
Now the problem wasn’t just charging; the SIM cards and carriers were different, and the signal transmission ways were also not the same.
Forget it, at least she had the hardware now; she could tinker with it: "What about your phones? I’ll fix them all together."
The three of them handed over their phones in unison.
Evidently, none of them were as well-preserved as Qin Xin’s phone, especially Si Moyu’s, which was waterlogged and had a partially detached screen.
They hadn’t protected their own things but had kept her phone so safe.
They didn’t know what kind of world they were coming to, yet without hesitation, they followed her lead.
Thinking about this made Qin Xin’s heart ache slightly, speaking in a low voice: "You mentioned you had a plan to leave just now? Shall we discuss it?"
Bai Chi eagerly raised his hand.
He hadn’t had a chance to speak for a while, so Qin Xin nodded at him: "Go ahead."
Bai Chi: "We gather supplies, buy some camels, and go into the desert."
Qin Xin frowned, "What’s the purpose of going into the desert?"
