Love You for the Rest of My Life
Chapter 2596 - 2597: Life’s Hall Is More Than Dance
Bo Chenghe’s smile turned somewhat bitter, but he finally nodded, "Alright, if there’s a chance, I’ll definitely let you know."
"Okay." Di Jinxuan also nodded.
At this moment, Nangong Yi popped out from somewhere, suddenly ran over, and hugged Di Jinxuan’s leg, whining and complaining, "Mama, Qinan and Wuhen are not listening to me!"
Di Jinxuan reached out and patted Nangong Yi’s head, warning, "Don’t bully Qinan and Wuhen."
Nangong Yi pouted.
"Is this you and Jinxuan’s child?" Bo Chenghe raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"Yes, indeed." Di Jinxuan smiled at Bo Chenghe, then looked down at Nangong Yi and said, "Xiaoyi, say hello to Uncle Bo."
Nangong Yi obediently lifted his head, staring at Bo Chenghe with big round eyes, his youthful face already showing some handsome features, his facial features beautifully delicate, especially endearing as he called out in a childish voice, "Hello, Uncle Bo."
Bo Chenghe’s face immediately lit up with a brilliant smile, clearly heartfelt.
"What’s your name?" Bo Chenghe asked Nangong Yi.
"My name is Nangong Yi." Nangong Yi answered loudly.
"Nangong Yi." Bo Chenghe savored Nangong Yi’s name, his smile seemed to be tinged with a bit of relief, then he extended his hand to Nangong Yi, "Come here, Xiaoyi, let Uncle give you a hug."
Nangong Yi first looked up at Di Jinxuan, as if seeking her opinion.
Di Jinxuan nodded with a smile, patting Xiaoyi’s head, "Go ahead, let Uncle Bo give you a hug."
Only then did Nangong Yi obediently nod, finally walking up to Bo Chenghe and spreading his arms generously.
Bo Chenghe immediately reached out and picked Nangong Yi up.
Nangong Yi looked at Bo Chenghe, seemingly a little shy, and Bo Chenghe also looked at Nangong Yi, seemingly searching for something.
Finally, Bo Chenghe raised a smile and turned his eyes to Di Jinxuan, "Xiaoyi looks a lot like you."
"Really?" Di Jinxuan stuck out her tongue and said, "Everyone says he looks like Jinxuan."
"He looks like both of you." Bo Chenghe laughed, "He’s your child after all, who else would he look like?"
"Indeed." Di Jinxuan nodded, her smile becoming even gentler.
Bo Chenghe gazed at her, his eyes seemingly focused; many years had passed, and it seemed Di Jinxuan had perfectly transformed from a little girl, a little princess, into someone else.
She now resembled somewhat of a virtuous wife and loving mother, and time had been especially kind to her. If not for Nangong Yi’s presence, claiming she was still a little girl would easily be believable.
Yet her gentle brows and eyes, filled with happiness, had long lost the pride and sharpness of the little princess she once was. It seemed she was truly content with her life.
"Are you still dancing?" Bo Chenghe suddenly asked, looking at Di Jinxuan.
Di Jinxuan smiled, seeming a bit embarrassed, "No, I stopped after having Xiaoyi, and then taking care of him, it feels like I can’t bear to go back to work."
Di Jinxuan’s soft gaze flowed warmly over Nangong Yi’s face.
Bo Chenghe’s smile slightly faltered, then he said, "I thought you would dance your way to the pinnacle of the dance world."
"I thought so too." Di Jinxuan raised her eyebrows, her once gentle gaze now revealing a bit of confident pride, then she continued, "But after having Xiaoyi, I realized that the pinnacle of life isn’t just about dance."
