Nangong Yue was over six feet tall, and drunk like this, she didn’t have the strength to carry him home.

"Why don’t you try calling him?" Manager Liu suggested, "If he really won’t wake up, we’ll help you get him into the car."

There didn’t seem to be any other solutions available.

"Don’t call me," Nangong Yue slurred drunkenly, "My wife isn’t home, I don’t want to go home either!"

Emma, those words made her blush a bit.

"Alright, stop messing around," Gu Mian said hurriedly, "I’m here now, let’s go home."

Nangong Yue seemed to hear her. Only then did he groggily prop himself up, raising his head to look.

Without his glasses, his eyes appeared a bit unfocused yet inexplicably charming in their drunken daze.

After staring for a while, as if he finally recognized her, he suddenly smiled, showing his bright white teeth, strikingly handsome and unexpectedly obedient.

"Wife..." Nangong Yue pulled her into his arms, holding her in a way that suggested he wouldn’t let go no matter what.

But after the initial surprise, she felt her reaction was a bit over the top. After all, Manager Liu and a bunch of receptionists were still there; isn’t it normal for a husband to ask his wife for a kiss?
