Chapter 3390

After several improvements by the alchemists, the Golden Vajra Pills had become increasingly effective. Ye Liuyun estimated that the strength of his physical body could now stand toe-to-toe with that black-armored demon from before.

Only after all the ore-vein transactions had been completed did they begin bidding farewell to Yao Tianling, Yao Meng, and the other tribesmen.

Yao Tianling specifically asked about the route Ye Liuyun and the others planned to take. When he learned the direction in which they were traveling, Yao Tianling, Yao Meng, and the others all changed expressions.

“What’s wrong?” Ye Liuyun noticed that something was amiss as well and quickly asked.

“There’s a bandit galaxy along your route. Everyone there makes a living by robbing others, and they’re all part of fairly large bandit gangs.

They’ve come to rob us before, but every time we fought them to the death. We didn’t have any resources they cared about, either. At most, they would take some women, which was why they gradually stopped coming so often.

The weapons and other equipment we exchanged with you were actually meant to deal with those bandits. We can trade with the other tribes, exchanging weapons for food, and then resist the bandits together.”

Yao Tianling went on to tell Ye Liuyun about the bandit galaxy. He said that every bandit gang there consisted of more than ten thousand people.

“No problem. We can take the opportunity to help you eliminate this scourge!”

Ye Liuyun felt that since these local body-refining martial artists could deal with the bandits, his army should have no trouble either. It would also be a good opportunity to collect more soul power as cultivation resources for future use.

When Yao Tianling and Yao Meng heard this, they kindly tried to dissuade Ye Liuyun and the others, saying that they were too few in number. They had already seen over the past few days that Ye Liuyun’s people were very powerful. However, the bandits were all part of large gangs, and they were worried that Ye Liuyun and the others would suffer.

Ye Liuyun did not want to reveal too much of his strength in front of them, so he could only agree outwardly before leading everyone away from the galaxy.

Lei Ming and the others could all tell that Ye Liuyun intended to make a move against the bandits, so they were extremely excited, rubbing their fists in anticipation of the fight.

Ye Liuyun had no reason to worry about them. He merely reminded them to stock up on more soul cultivation resources, since this might be their final battle before returning to the Silver Soul Galaxy. It would be difficult to stock up on soul resources again afterward.

The people of the Yao Tribe did not know exactly where the bandit galaxy was, either. Ye Liuyun and the others passed through two galaxies in succession. Whenever they passed through a galaxy, they deliberately slowed down to attract the attention of people on nearby planets, but no one ever came to rob them.

The people on those planets did not seem to be bandits, so they did not attack them and continued sailing onward.

However, before they reached the next galaxy, they encountered a group of bandits in the starry sky.

This unlucky bunch did not even bother to assess their cultivation levels. Relying on their numerical advantage, they stopped Ye Liuyun’s flying vessel.

“They’re here! They’re here! The bandits have finally come!” Lei Ming shouted excitedly as he and the demonic beasts scrambled off the flying vessel.

The vessel blocking their way was a rather dilapidated warship with more than two thousand bandits aboard. That was indeed quite a large number, and half of them were in the early stage of the Unity Realm, while the other half had not even reached the Unity Realm.

Lei Ming and the other demonic beasts did not mind that the bandits’ cultivation levels were low. Jiutou Molong destroyed the warship’s power system with a beam of white light, after which they immediately began slaughtering the bandits.

The women soon joined the attack as well, while Ye Liuyun watched from a distance. He took out a Soul-Sealing Pearl and released his soul source to capture the martial artists’ souls.

The demonic beasts and the women found it incredibly easy to fight these low-level bandits. They did not even need to use true essence; the power of heaven and earth alone was enough to crush them effortlessly.

In the end, the remaining bandits were surrounded by the demonic beasts and the women, who used them to practice the Soul-Searching Art. They discovered that the bandits were all utterly evil, burning, killing, and pillaging wherever they went. Thus, they pulled all their souls into the Soul-Sealing Pearl and gave their corpses to the female soldiers’ Qingfeng Wolves as food.

Ye Liuyun took all the souls everyone had collected and refined them in the Soul-Refining Cauldron before storing them himself. The demonic beasts then took the emptied Soul-Sealing Pearls and charged straight toward the galaxy where the bandits were based.

This time, Ye Liuyun also released the demon army and had them intercept any bandits who tried to escape from the surrounding area.

The Death Legion worked with Ye Liuyun, taking the women and demonic beasts to wipe out the bandits on each planet one by one.

There were more than thirty planets in the entire bandit galaxy. Each planet was home to a large bandit gang, with more than ten thousand formal members alone.

Although the administration on each planet was rather chaotic, the local martial artists were quite united. They knew that if the bandit gangs were destroyed, their own fate would become even more miserable.

Thus, each planet had over ten thousand bandit gang members, along with tens of thousands of martial artists. The combined number was considerable. Fortunately, none of them were very strong, and the Death Legion generally sent its lower-level soldiers out to practice.

Ye Liuyun continuously loaded souls into the Soul-Sealing Pearls, stockpiling soul cultivation resources. Although the soul power of these bandits was not particularly strong, it could still accumulate into a substantial amount.

After they conquered a planet, Ye Liuyun used the collected soul power to condense two soul sources. The souls collected by the demonic beasts were enough to condense three soul sources. This amount was not particularly large, but it was better than nothing.

The main problem was that they did not have enough Soul-Sealing Pearls, so Ye Liuyun had no time to collect the soul power of many of the bandits killed by the Death Legion soldiers.

However, the bandits’ lairs contained quite a number of cultivation resources, which happened to be useful to the Death Legion. The Death Legion suffered virtually no casualties while killing them. As long as the soldiers did not let their guard down, these low-level bandits could not kill them.

Ye Liuyun and the others easily wiped out five planets in this manner. Moreover, after destroying each one, they collected the entire planet, leaving nothing behind.

Just as they were preparing to attack the sixth planet, the bandits unexpectedly decided to band together and negotiate with Ye Liuyun.

They had realized that Ye Liuyun’s army was too powerful for them to stop with their own strength, so they wanted to threaten him. If Ye Liuyun continued attacking, they would gather their forces in one place and attack him together.

Ye Liuyun merely sneered contemptuously before ordering his soldiers to launch an attack.

At the same time, he notified the demon army and had them divide the remaining planets into five sections, waiting for the Death Legion to attack them one section at a time.

Even if the bandits from five or six planets joined forces to attack, the Death Legion’s army of one hundred thousand could deal with them effortlessly. As it turned out, the bandits had only been issuing an empty threat to Ye Liuyun and had no intention of forming an alliance.

Ye Liuyun went on to conquer ten more planets, yet not a single one of them sent reinforcements to another. They all fought on their own, allowing Ye Liuyun to defeat them one by one.
