Lord of All Gods
Chapter 3360
The Book Demon also reminded Ye Liuyun, “The flames and lightning power of this Soul Refining Cauldron may not be as strong as your own Fire Spirit and Thunder Spirit. So you’d better put in some of your own flame and lightning power. Then, after the Soul Refining Cauldron has refined them, you can refine them once more yourself with your elemental powers.”
Ye Liuyun nodded. The pain of separating his divine soul was so intense that he could not speak.
His two clones guarded the army camp outside for him, while he worked inside one of their spatial worlds. It took him more than ten days to separate half of each of his three divine souls.
He then sent the separated divine souls into the Soul Refining Cauldron, tossed in an entire dragon soul to be refined with them, and added two types of fire source and lightning source. The poison source was already present in the divine souls, so he no longer needed to add it deliberately.
With all that done, he left the rest to the Soul Refining Cauldron and simply waited.
He also used this time to let the three divine souls, each weakened by half, recover properly.
Three days later, the Soul Refining Cauldron completed the refinement.
However, Ye Liuyun had put in too much divine-soul power. What the Soul Refining Cauldron refined this time was a small, faceless golden humanoid, its body shimmering with lightning, two kinds of flames, and the radiance of a dark green poison source.
The humanoid was only half Ye Liuyun’s height, far smaller than his original divine-soul form. Yet compressed within it were one and a half of Ye Liuyun’s divine souls and the power of an entire dragon soul. In other words, this single humanoid was already comparable to Ye Liuyun’s two previous divine souls.
“This... how am I supposed to refine it?” Ye Liuyun stared at such a massive soul source, momentarily unsure where to begin.
“Use that half of your divine soul to envelop it and slowly assimilate it. Most of these divine-soul powers originate from the same source as yours, so you should be able to assimilate them very quickly,” the Book Demon suggested.
“How long will it take?” Ye Liuyun was worried about delaying the army’s progress and feared that the demon race might send someone with a powerful divine soul to attack them again.
“Six months should be about enough!” the Book Demon estimated.
“Six months isn’t that long in the clone’s spatial world.” Ye Liuyun thought it over and decided that it was acceptable.
The Book Demon then advised Ye Liuyun, “I suggest you use this time to improve your other divine-soul powers as well. Otherwise, you’d only be wasting it.”
Ye Liuyun considered it. Six months of cultivation in the clone’s spatial world would amount to less than twenty days outside, so the demon race’s experts should not be able to arrive within that time.
Thus, he gritted his teeth and made a decision at once: he would also give the Red Pupils in his divine soul to the soul source to refine. His complete divine soul, together with one and a half of the clone’s divine souls, entered the Soul Refining Cauldron once again.
The method was the same as before: he infused it with a dragon soul and various elemental powers.
At the same time, one complete divine soul from the first clone entered Ye Liuyun’s sea of consciousness, where it was divided and then allowed to recover.
Three days later, after the new soul source emerged, one and a half of the second clone’s divine souls resolutely entered the Soul Refining Cauldron as well. Another three days later, all three soul sources had finished condensing, and each was enveloped by half of the original divine soul and refined.
As for the guards outside the military camp, Ye Liuyun left them entirely to the black-armored soldiers and puppets. He and his clones each nurtured one soul source, accelerating their recovery within the clone’s spatial world.
While cultivating, Ye Liuyun also handed the Soul Refining Cauldron over to the others so they could improve their divine-soul power. Most of them did not dare to separate half of a divine soul as he had. The pain was so intense that most of them passed out before they could even stop.
As for throwing an entire divine soul into it, the others dared even less to try that. They merely tossed in the divine souls stored within the Soul-Sealing Pearls and slowly refined and absorbed them.
Only Ye Tiandao endured the backlash of her divine soul and directly threw one of her divine souls in to be refined anew. Ye Liuyun also helped her infuse it with a dragon soul, lightning, and the power of two kinds of flames, thereby strengthening her divine soul’s defensive abilities.
The demon race learned of the Holy Son’s death immediately as well.
However, this time they did not send experts over directly. Instead, they waited to set out together with the two-million-strong army.
The demon race’s Holy Son was already quite powerful, and he had brought more than two hundred experts with him. All of them had been wiped out in a single battle. The demon race felt that Ye Liuyun’s army was too strong and did not dare send experts out alone to take the risk again.
Among the experts accompanying the army, however, there was a demon elder named Qisang. It was said that this person’s divine-soul power was even stronger than Aoyan’s. However, Qisang had spent many years cultivating in seclusion and rarely came out.
Its main purpose in accompanying the army this time was to monitor the movements of Ye Liuyun’s army and prevent them from sending experts to launch another surprise attack.
There were not many other experts accompanying the army—just over twenty, whose main task was to protect Qisang. Among the demon race’s regular army, there were already quite a few soldiers at the Ninth Realm, including some at the peak of the Ninth Realm, so there was no need to send out any more experts.
Ten days later, the two-million-strong demon army boarded the warships and advanced toward Ye Liuyun and the others in a vast, imposing formation.
During those ten days, Ye Liuyun had already cultivated for more than a hundred days in the clone’s spatial world.
The newly refined soul sources had already taken on the outline of a human form, very much like his former Golden-armored Giant. The only difference was that they had now become exceptionally solid golden-armored humanoids.
Their facial features and other parts were all growing, changing a little every day.
Although the soul sources were enveloped by half of his divine soul, it was obvious that there was a huge difference in solidity between the two.
Ye Liuyun had previously thought that his own divine soul was already solid enough. But now, by comparison, he found that his divine soul was still only an apparition next to the soul source.
While waiting for his soul sources to recover, Ye Liuyun did not remain idle. He continued using the two fire spirit and the Thunder Spirit to temper the soul sources in turn, compressing and refining them further.
He also refined a dragon body and several true-dragon origin cores to strengthen his physical body and divine essence.
He originally did not have many bloodline-related resources, but Yuehong returned to Ye Liuyun the source power he had previously given her. When she returned it, however, the power of bloodline contained within that source power was even greater than before.
Yuehong did not merely absorb the power of bloodline within it; she could also release it outward. Through absorbing and releasing it, she increased its power of bloodline.
Once it reached a certain level, she would have Ye Liuyun absorb it, then replace it with another source power containing power of bloodline and repeat the cycle to increase its power.
However, she did not let Ye Liuyun drain all the power of bloodline from it. Leaving three or four tenths behind was just right; if too little remained, it would take her much longer to restore it.
This was how she increased her own strength. In essence, it was similar to Ye Ling absorbing spirit stones and producing spirit stones. However, Ye Ling had now grown increasingly powerful and had begun absorbing source power, then replenishing source power.
However, they had also been quite busy during this period. Ye Ling was preparing for Ye Liuyun’s trip to the Void World by isolating some uninhabited planets.
