Living With My Yandere Professor
Chapter 171: Taking Cecilia
"Meow~~~"
Cecilia was held in Scarlett’s hand, his four limbs dangling as he looked utterly docile, completely devoid of his usual spirit.
Scarlett was immune to that act. Even Andrew’s pretense of obedience didn’t work on her, let alone a mere striped cat like him.
She shot Cecilia a glare, which scared the cat so much that his head drooped, and he didn’t dare look at Scarlett anymore.
"Behave! If you keep squirming, I’ll chop you up."
"Meow~"
After being sternly threatened and scolded by Scarlett, Cecilia became much quieter and more subdued once he was back on the ground. He walked slowly and cautiously, afraid of provoking Scarlett again.
Watching this scene, Andrew’s grandmother couldn’t help but laugh and praise her.
"Little Scar has quite the skill! You actually managed to discipline this cat. I can’t do anything with him."
"Hehe, I just saw him kicking around wildly and was worried he might mess up the house," Scarlett replied with a faint smile.
Just then, Andrew walked over and sat next to Scarlett.
"Teacher, you’re amazing at training cats?"
"It’s alright, I guess. I haven’t really raised cats before."
Scarlett had never owned a cat because she found dealing with their shedding troublesome.
"Then how did you manage to subdue Cecilia so quickly?"
"Maybe it’s because the cats and dogs at my maternal grandmother’s house were afraid of me when I was little?" Scarlett recalled her childhood.
Back when she was a child, there were no smartphones, and she couldn’t play many games on the computer. Every day after school, she had nothing better to do than bully the family’s cats and dogs.
As a result, every time she returned home, the family’s pets would scatter in fright.
"Speaking of which, why does this striped cat like to run around so much? I thought most cats people keep nowadays were quite lazy?" Scarlett asked Andrew curiously.
Andrew thought for a moment.
"Grandma picked up Cecilia by the roadside when he was very small. She thought she’d raise him, and perhaps he could help catch mice around the house."
"Later, the mice were completely wiped out, but Cecilia still wouldn’t settle down. He started bullying the yellow dog every day. The yellow dog couldn’t beat him either, so Grandma protected the yellow dog and wouldn’t let Cecilia bully him. Then Cecilia started going out to fight other cats."
"Over time, Cecilia became as if he’d been injected with adrenaline, running around everywhere all day long."
As he was speaking, Cecilia, having spotted something unknown, rushed over crazily, apparently about to display his might. But the moment he saw Scarlett’s cold eyes, he slammed on the brakes in fright.
Before he could escape, Scarlett grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and lifted him up again, immediately slapping him twice.
"Behave!"
"Meow~"
Watching Scarlett discipline Cecilia, Andrew couldn’t help but feel a chill down his spine.
Will I end up being lifted up and disciplined by Scarlett like this in the future?
...
Scarlett and Andrew stayed in the countryside for three days. During this time, Scarlett would catch Cecilia and play with him whenever she was bored.
Cecilia initially intended to escape, but he quickly realized that this woman’s combat power was too terrifying. He couldn’t escape her clutches at all.
The moment he tried to run, Scarlett would instantly catch him, moving so quickly that Cecilia, the striped cat, couldn’t even react.
Moreover, Scarlett even brought Cecilia into her and Andrew’s bedroom to sleep at night, which helped her sleep more soundly.
After a few days, Cecilia was completely subdued by Scarlett’s handling.
It wasn’t until the fourth day that Scarlett and Andrew packed their luggage, preparing to return to the city.
Andrew’s grandmother was a little reluctant.
"Leaving already? Stay a few more days."
"Grandma, school starts after the Lantern Festival. We have to return to Jingzhou in a few days, so we’re heading back to the city first."
"Oh, that’s fine then."
Cecilia, who was downstairs, heard that the she-devil was leaving and immediately perked up. He quietly crept toward the door to see if Scarlett was really gone.
Cecilia cautiously poked his head out, searching for Scarlett’s figure.
He hadn’t found her yet when a large hand suddenly descended from above and snatched him up.
"Grandma, are you still keeping this striped cat to catch mice?" Scarlett asked Andrew’s grandmother with a smile.
Upon hearing this, the elder immediately understood Scarlett’s meaning and nodded repeatedly.
"No need. Little Scar, if you like him, just take him. It’ll be quieter around here too."
"Meow meow meow!!!"
Cecilia immediately yowled nonstop upon hearing this, looking as though he would rather die than leave.
However, the next moment, Scarlett turned him around so that his face was toward her.
Instantly, Cecilia’s eyes became clear, and he put on the appearance of a well-behaved kitty.
"Meow~~~"
Scarlett looked at Cecilia’s obedient appearance and nodded with satisfaction before saying to Andrew’s grandmother, "Then I’ll take him. Thank you, Grandma."
"No need to thank me. You two be careful on the road."
"Mm."
Andrew and Scarlett got into the car, and Cecilia was placed in the back seat.
He rested his paws on the car window, gazing at the gradually receding old rural house with a face full of melancholy.
This scene reminded Andrew of a song that perfectly suited Cecilia:
"Snowflakes flutter~ North wind howls~~~"
"Teacher, why are you taking Cecilia with you?" Andrew asked while driving, a little confused.
"I’m afraid of mice. Just in case there are any mice, Cecilia can get rid of them. Also, Cecilia is different from other cats. He seems quite fun."
"Right, what about your sister? Why didn’t you ask her to come back too? She should be starting school after the Lantern Festival, right?"
"Let her take the train back by herself. Right now, she’s probably impatiently going through forced blind dates, isn’t she?" Andrew said thoughtfully.
Meanwhile, in a coffee shop in the small town, Catherine was meeting a guy for a blind date. The guy was generally quite impressive, but he wasn’t Catherine’s type. She had been forced to come.
"Um, is there anything you’d like to eat?"
"No, I’m not hungry."
"Then would you like something to drink?"
"No."
"Then... what do you want to do? I’ll listen to you."
"I want to go home."
"..."
...
Back in the downtown apartment complex, there were still three members of the household, but Catherine had been replaced by Cecilia.
"I’m going to my room first to finish the report required for the start of school. You go give Cecilia a bath. He’s quite dirty."
Scarlett’s main reason for returning was that she needed to write a report. After finishing it, she planned to return to Jingzhou with Andrew.
Scarlett went to the study, while Andrew prepared some hot water, intending to bathe Cecilia.
As a result, when Cecilia saw the water, he acted as if he had seen the King of Hell, struggling desperately and refusing to be washed.
"Meow! Meow meow!"
Andrew could barely hold onto Cecilia. Finally, in desperation, he directly brought up Scarlett.
"If you keep making a fuss, I’ll call Scarlett from the next room to discipline you!"
The moment he heard Scarlett’s name, Cecilia immediately quieted down.
He even recalled the way Scarlett had handled the chicken that day. There had also been a basin of hot water then.
Thinking of this, Cecilia’s fur stood on end with fear. He didn’t dare struggle anymore. Even though he dreaded water, he obediently let Andrew bathe him.
Watching Cecilia, completely drenched with only his round head visible, Andrew felt a surge of delight.
"Hehe, now that I have Cecilia, after Scarlett disciplines me, I can discipline Cecilia if I get upset!"
