Chapter 1790: Chapter 1780: He is Learning to Care About Others

On the other side.

The Lincoln Stretch Limousine had already arrived at the entrance of Langley Garden at Spirelin Hospital.

Since Old Master Lawrence was staying at Langley Garden, the security facilities now rivaled the White House. Various bodyguards were checking the identities of incoming and outgoing vehicles.

Baron Lawrence simply rolled down the car window, and the person responsible for the checks immediately let him through.

The car glided to Building A of Langley Garden.

After the driver parked the car, he quickly got out and opened the door for him, "Lord, we’ve arrived, please step out."

The man in the car exuded a cold and forbidding aura, warning people to keep their distance as he stepped out with his long strides.

Scott Harris’s car was behind, and he also got out, closely following him.

"Greetings, Lord."

"Greetings, Lord."

"Greetings, Lord."

Throughout the journey, bodyguards respectfully greeted him, as the man, surrounded like an emperor, entered the Inpatient Department with an aloof and haughty demeanor.

Old Master Lawrence was staying in the Presidential Ward on the 6th floor.

Baron Lawrence took the elevator to the 6th floor, and quickly walked to the door of the ward.

The Housekeeper, dressed in a tailcoat, greeted him with a kind smile on his slightly pale face, "Young Master, you’re here. The Old Lord is waiting for you inside. You can go in directly."

"Hmm." Baron Lawrence responded, his hand already reaching for the doorknob, but he suddenly paused and turned his head towards the Housekeeper. Unexpectedly, he asked, "How is your health? Are there any discomforts? If there are, let the doctor check again."

The Housekeeper was pleasantly surprised, not expecting him to ask such a question, and quickly replied, "No, my health has improved greatly. Thank you, Young Master, for your concern."

Baron Lawrence relaxed his tightly pressed lips slightly, seeming unaccustomed to such actions, furrowed his brow and said awkwardly, "If you feel unwell, don’t hold it in. There are plenty of people to take care of the Old Man. You need to take care of your own health first, then you can care for him. The Old Man won’t blame you for taking a few days off."

Despite it being caring words, when spoken by him, there’s a rigid and domineering feel to them.

The Housekeeper’s gaze softened, "Don’t worry, Young Master, I haven’t forced myself. The Old Lord has already instructed the doctor to check me several times, and the doctor says my health has largely recovered before I resumed work."

"As long as you’re well."

Baron Lawrence twisted the doorknob and entered the room.

The Presidential Ward was much like the Presidential Suite in a hotel, a suite-styled room. The only difference was probably that near the two-meter large bed were various advanced medical instruments rather than vases.

In the spacious suite, there was only one person, dressed in a blue-and-white striped hospital gown, who was facing away from him, tending to flowers and plants.

Baron Lawrence had seen such a figure countless times, but this time, he distinctly felt that the once firmly unshakeable figure in his memory had become frail and much older.

Yet the aura had not changed; it was still so imposing.

"Old Lord, the Young Master is back," the Housekeeper said, his eyes lowered with respect.

Old Master Lawrence heard the sound of the door opening, but he did not turn around immediately, patiently trimming the branches and leaves of the potted orchid instead. Only after setting down the scissors, did he elegantly wipe his hands and turn around.

His profile still bore traces of the handsome and suave demeanor of his youth, but with advancing age, the most striking feature was undoubtedly his eyes.

Bright, sharp, seemingly able to see through people’s hearts!
