Chapter 63: Q2 Ends, Winter Break fun! [Bonus]

"Fucking finally!" Tyler exclaimed while seeing all top tier grades.

Sophie had the same and Amanda improved to Exceeds expectations in all of them but top tier in Mana control. After a kiss and a hug from Tyler, her and Sophie hugged.

Adam had mostly exceeds but was struggling with Qi so he received meets expectations. They were happily surprised with a text they received from Kass. They were able to have a nice homeroom.

"Top tier in dueling. Exceeds in the rest. Rank A!"

"Amazing babe! Knew you had it in you." - Tyler.

"Hell yeah girl I’m A rank now too!" - Amanda.

"Keep it up ladies! Top tier for me in my four." - Nyxara

"I’m so proud of everyone. Tyler you didn’t get S rank?" - Sophie.

"Not yet, it’s ok. Soon."

She smiled and only texted so the group could see that life was going really well for them. They continued training after school and their biggest improvements continued to be Qi.

Winter break started after classes and they’d have two weeks off. Tyler was surprised they didn’t celebrate Christmas but it kind of made sense to him with the new knowledge that more than one god existed. They did celebrate new years, but it was Nyxara’s birthday New Year’s Eve and they already knew what was coming.

Nyx was the one to bring it up and she was nervous about it. She wanted to do it because she had an emotional love for the girls in the group and much like Amanda, wanted the reassurance the relationship stayed rock solid afterwards.

After class they trained. Tyler sparred with Nyxara and it was impossible. He was improving but she was too damn good.

"Again!" Tyler said while drinking a health and mana potion.

He glanced over and saw Kass helping Amanda in a spar with Sophie and grinned.

"Don’t leave yourself open like that!" Kass said kindly as Sophie snuck to the side, only to quickly maneuver behind Amanda, who used Qi to block her back, leaving her front wide open. Sophie had a wooden sword around her neck.

"Sorry cutie!" Sophie said cheerfully. "You’re doing a lot better. The spear Qi shot was a good move!

"Tyler, I’m waiting..." Nyxara tapped her foot anxiously and had a cute expression on her face.

"You always look so cute before you fight. How can I counter your requips? Not even Ritsu can figure it out. You have so many forms and it’s impossible to predict any sort of pattern you can use."

"Just keep trying. You’re improving each fight."

"Ok I’m ready."

’Form 37.’ Nyxara thought while turning into an unarmored woman who looked like a goddess. Her hair was neatly tied up in a circular braid and she had a crown made of some type of plant. Despite her lack of armor, hundreds of swords floated around her.

Tyler linked with Rex and grew to about 6 feet and was green and muscular. He swatted as many swords as he could as she teleported, sending them each from a different direction.

His skin was much tougher in this form but could feel the cuts building up.

"Now Shadow and Ash!"

Shadow lunged forward and Ash came out as a tiny Phoenix but Nyx saw him.

’Form 54,’ she thought and she was heavily armored in a black set with a large shield and full helmet.

Ash reached his maximum form and he and Tyler, who pulled out a Ritsu clone, drank a mana potion all fired pressurized blasts at her. She knocked Shadow away with the shield, causing a giant "yelp!"

[Shadow is unavailable for 8 hours and will be recovering in your system.]

She turned and blocked Ash’s blast with the shield while her armor absorbed the flames from the two Tylers.

"Ouch!" She yelled playfully. They all knew she couldn’t feel pain, but she sensed the heat and considered that a spell hitting her.

"Nice move Tyler. I’ll count that as a strike!"

’Form 7.’

"Oh no..." Tyler muttered. "That’s her angel of death form. God she’s sexy in it but I’m cooked."

"Stop thinking like that. Just because she can teleport and has a scythe doesn’t mean you should give in. Resist her damn charm." Maximus ordered.

"Then help me do it! I give you permission."

"Finally!" Vivian smirked. "Can I charm her?"

"Yes."

Nyx teleported behind Tyler, who linked with Vivian. As she locked eyes with him, he allowed his familiars to help him block her charm.

Nyx shook her head in disbelief and used every fiber of her being to fight off Tyler’s charm.

’Form 54,’ she switched back to her defensive equipment.

’Illusions. They’re just illusions.’ She thought while observing Tyler kneeling and proposing, then kissing her. The next illusion showed him doing the same with each of the other girls, all while he was firing off spells which she was blocking with pure instinct.

"How the hell is she blocking my magic?" Tyler asked while drinking another mana potion.

"System put half into charisma and half into constitution."

"Get the fuck out of my head Tyler!" Nyxara screamed in anger.

"Tyler, next time we get an opening like that, let me out. It’s the only way. You did well but your eyes aren’t as powerful as mine."

Tyler dropped his staff as Nyxara charged at him.

"I surrender babe!" He said.

She couldn’t stop her momentum and knocked him down, causing him to smash his head on the ground and bleed.

"Woah... everything is spinning." He said before passing out. He heard them screaming "Tyler!"

"Why did he drop his staff like that?!" Nyxara gasped in horror. "I’m so sorry I didn’t want to hurt him!"

"It’s his own damn fault sweetheart don’t worry about it!" Sophie scoffed. "He needs to stop putting himself last and start thinking more clearly!"

"He trusts us so much..." Kass muttered.

"He does but I got this!" Amanda said calmly. She infused Qi into her elven healing magic and placed her hands on his head.

To their relief, they saw him slowly sit up and smile.

"Damn you pack a heavy punch!" He laughed.

"Why would you completely let your guard down like that Tyler?!" Sophie demanded. "Don’t you dare ever do that again."

"Sorry! I was exhausted and it wouldn’t have gone much differently if I tried to block."

Rex appeared in his human form. "Young master is not lying. He was near his limit. Hello beautiful ladies. It is nice to see you working so hard."

He disappeared back into Tyler’s chest as Nyxara poured a mana potion into his mouth then kissed him. "I’m sorry gorgeous. I got carried away but your charm was very strong. You proposed to me!"

"He what?!" The girls gasped.

"It wasn’t just me. He did the same with all of you too. Why did you choose that illusion?!" Nyx gasped, face flushed and red.

"I thought it would distract you the most and it almost worked!" He smirked.
