Life Game In Other World

Chapter 1966 - 1965: Archbishop of the Life Church

The bright lights shone on the floating warplane, tinged with a bit of dust.

He Ao lifted his gaze, looking towards the floating warplane with its tightly shut cabin door.

"Mr. Vice President," a staff member walked over, speaking with some nervousness, "this floating warplane applied to enter the city very early; it arrived last night and was supposed to take off early this morning according to the plan, but it didn’t. We also can’t contact the owner or the applicant of this floating warplane."

He Ao raised his hand, and Mark handed over a tablet.

The tablet displayed the surveillance footage regarding this floating warplane.

The footage showed the white-robed, hooded figures He Ao had seen earlier, who held a sleeping child in their arms.

Although the child’s face wasn’t captured, He Ao easily recognized that it was Bod’s daughter.

Under normal circumstances, the daughter wouldn’t be this quiet, wouldn’t be quiet for this long, He Ao frowned slightly.

His gaze followed the ever-switching surveillance footage, tracking these white-robed figures.

He soon saw these figures pass through the airport hall, leave the airport, and enter the street outside.

Surveillance outside the airport captured them heading south, turning into a narrow alley.

"There are no surveillance cameras in that alley," a staff member beside him lowered his head, speaking softly.

"So, does that mean we lost track of these people?" Mark asked quietly beside him.

As he spoke, he glanced at He Ao’s expressionless face.

"Yes."

The staff member nodded slightly, and the atmosphere in the entire area suddenly became heavy.

The staff member seemed to sense something was off about the atmosphere as well, and he quickly added, "Our airport cameras haven’t captured these people again, they probably didn’t return to the airport, and their floating warplane is still here, meaning they likely are still in the city, haven’t left. We might be able to find them if we keep looking."

"Or they might have left through other channels," a young staff member said softly, "it’s been so long since last night, they might’ve left town a long time ago, and they could’ve changed clothes and left on another airship."

The atmosphere around them instantly became more eerie, and the staff beside He Ao quickly turned back to glare at the young man behind him.

The young man shrank his head and said no more.

He Ao, however, lowered his gaze, watching the figures in the surveillance.

Actually, Eve had already scanned the surveillance once; even if they changed clothes, Eve could quickly identify them to some extent.

These people were indeed only captured by this surveillance.

They did not return after leaving the airport.

But what the staff said was also true; just because they didn’t return doesn’t mean they are still in Trollon.

Buzz—

At this moment, He Ao’s wristband vibrated; it was a reply from Roger.

Indeed, there was a major figure from the Life Church hidden in Trollon, named Vikael, one of the archbishops of the Life Church and a once-renowned biologist, who later left the Federation center and went into seclusion in Trollon.

When Qiming Medical College was founded, its honorary dean once invited him to join, but he refused.

However, Roger didn’t know where this archbishop lived, not even Qiming Medical College’s honorary dean knew, as they had sent an underground doctor related to Vikael to find him back then.

Now that underground doctor was on the northern front and couldn’t be found in the short term.

There was some news, but not completely.

He Ao sent his thanks to Roger, then raised his wristband to have Eve search directly for the best doctor and most prominent biologist in all of Trollon.

A Life Church archbishop, hiding in Trollon, couldn’t possibly be completely anonymous, and the most likely professions he’d engage in would be a doctor and biologist.

In a very short time, a dense compilation of information displayed in He Ao’s field of view.

Soon, Eve screened ten candidates.

He Ao lifted his gaze, the purple glow surged in the depths of his pupils, and in an instant, the power of Super Memory spread like a tide.

Although this body couldn’t endure the full power of Super Memory, wielding a bit of its power was still possible.

For example, directly querying the memory of the entire city of those who know ’He Ao,’ searching for relevant keywords.

This ’search’ was naturally not as effective as reading each person’s memory, but it consumed far less and burdened the body less.

This was a simplified technique developed by He Ao with the aid of his Super Memory ability.

Of course, this technique couldn’t cover the entire city.

After all, the ’Vice President’ was just a supporting role to the president, and many people couldn’t even tell who the current president was, let alone the vice president, and although ’K’ was widely known, many had little understanding of ’K’ and held misconceptions, with very shallow connections to He Ao’s mysticism, leading to increased information retrieval consumption.

However, the top levels of Trollon certainly knew He Ao.

This wasn’t because the upper echelons of Trollon particularly cared, but because He Ao’s high-profile entry into the city had forced them to ’pay attention’ to He Ao.

Soon, countless pieces of information poured into He Ao’s mind, most of which were memories related to the doctors and biologists selected by Eve.

Quickly, He Ao sorted through these memories, especially focusing on figures that left a particularly deep impression on Trollon’s upper crust.

Finally, a name appeared in He Ao’s consciousness.

Rekai.

The data Eve retrieved didn’t have a photo of this person, but in those memories, there were details of this person’s appearance and information.

A white-haired, dignified-looking private doctor living in Trollon’s villa district.

His medical skills were extremely exquisite, reportedly able to save those on the verge of death, though his fees were notably exorbitant.

He seemed like a devotee of life.

The most crucial part was that from those in Trollon’s upper echelons, He Ao also obtained an ’unexpected’ piece of information.

He Ao turned around and looked at the staff beside him, "Can you find me a helicopter or floating warplane in the city?"

——

Willow Avenue Villa District

Cameras were continually rotating in the spacious courtyard, and the hidden mechanical gun barrels also fell into alert along with the camera’s movement.

At the villa deep in the courtyard, a kind elderly man with white hair sat on the sofa, put down the red wine in his hand, looked up, and gazed at the impeccably dressed man sitting opposite him, "I appreciate you conveying this information to me, but I don’t think Bod poses any threat. He lacks any evidence proving my involvement."

"I authorized the issuance of that floating warplane’s entry permit," the man raised his head and glanced at the elderly man, "Of course, it’s completely legal in the system, but if Bod is diligent in his investigation, spending a few days, he can trace it to me and then to you."

"So what do you want me to do?" The elderly man looked at him, his gaze slightly playful.

"I can maneuver for you, delay more time, even make the evidence appear flawless," the man said directly, "But the exclusive sales of the external injury medication you produce must be given to me, including the formula."

"You want to gobble up this big cake?" The elderly laughed, "You know, Stars Pharma and Welme have both approached me, and in these war times, good external injury medication is more valuable than gold. Do you think the consortium will allow you to consume this cake alone?"

He shook his head and took a sip of the red wine, "Besides, it’s just Bod; he poses no threat to me. If he wants to find his daughter, let him, even if he finds complete evidence, what can he do to me?"

"Bod is somewhat unhinged," the man frowned, and continued, "However, he is the Vice President. If he uses the Federation’s power, even if you provide the formula to the consortium and they protect you, they may not succeed."

"Oh, do you know who attacked Bod last night?" The elderly man raised his head, looking at the man, seemingly seeing a frog at the bottom of a well, "It was the Secret Service Bureau."

Upon hearing this, the man’s expression shifted slightly, as if he immediately recalled many things.

Ultimately, he frowned, "I can forgo the formula, but you must grant me exclusive rights to sell the medication you produce. Trust me, it’s a good business, you won’t regret it."

"Even if Bod finds evidence and investigates me," the elderly looked at the man’s greedy expression, "how long do you think it will take him? By that time, do you think he will still be alive?"

He sighed slightly, seemingly a bit impatient, "I can give you Trollon’s sales rights, but don’t think about the rest."

"What are you talking about?" The man jumped up, "Trollon isn’t the battlefield front line, what’s the use of acquiring those medication sales rights?"

"Perhaps one day it will be," the elderly shrugged, he gazed at the man, smiling, "Of course, it might never be, also,"

He paused slightly, "You seem to be overly excited."

The man looked at him, paused, slightly bit his teeth, and took a deep breath, "I’ll warn you one last time, Bod is completely crazy this time and may not follow legal procedures to find you."

"Not to mention when he comes to find me, or if he can still be alive at that time," the elderly gazed at the man, "even if he comes now, he is just an B-level Extraordinary in the medical field, alone, what ability does he have? What skills? Can he threaten me? Can he even defeat me?"

The elderly picked up the red wine in his hand, glanced at the indignant man, stood up directly, his aged figure standing in the spacious hall, radiating an aura of invincible solitude, "He probably can’t even get past the defense facilities in my courtyard—"

Boom—

His words weren’t fully realized when a rumbling sound emanated from the direction of the door.

The solemn and heavy door seemed to be forcefully impacted, ripped off its wall, heading towards the plush sofa.

The man sitting on the side sofa quickly rolled aside, dodging the flying door, even though its trajectory didn’t intersect his vicinity.

Boom—Crash—

The door swept across the living room, smashed into the intricately decorated cabinet, and instantly shattered into countless splintered pieces.

The white-haired elderly watched this scene, seemingly froze for a moment, failing to react, entering a state of disbelief.

Clatter—Clatter—Clatter—

Accompanied by the crackling sound of the stone fragments hitting the ground, the elderly finally snapped out of his daze, raising his head, looking towards the huge hole in the door.

Three figures were standing at the entrance.

A man in his fifties or sixties, dressed in silk formal wear, emanating a certain elegance and dignity.

Another in a pilot uniform, and one more in an airport staff uniform.

The figure in silk formal wear stood in the center of the trio, looked calmly at the elderly, and asked softly, "Vikael?"

Hearing this name, the elderly hesitated slightly, but at the moment he couldn’t afford to ponder anymore. He looked at the three at the door, "How did you get in? Why didn’t my alarm trigger?"

"We rappelled down from the floating warplane," the man in the pilot uniform replied softly, "Your air defense alert is poorly set."

Vikael looked up just in time to see the rope ladder hanging behind the three figures.

His face darkened briefly, who sets up high-intensity air defense alarms in town?

The airport staff beside him nervously surveyed the entire hall.

He too sensed the tense atmosphere in the hall and quickly scanned the room, spotting the man behind the sofa, he hesitated slightly, surprised, and said, "Mr. Deputy Mayor, what brings you here?"

"I’m here to see a doctor," the man quickly replied, "This is Trollon’s best private doctor."

While speaking, his gaze fell onto the man in silk formal wear standing among the three, "Vice President?"

The atmosphere in the hall became even more peculiar.

"You all seem to want to catch up," the airport staff glanced at everyone, quickly reached out to grab the rope ladder behind them, and climbed upward.

By this time, Vikael’s expression had completely darkened, he fixed his eyes on He Ao, coldly said, "Mr. Vice President? Just because you’re here for treatment, doesn’t mean you can ignore courtesy? Do you know how much my door costs? Haven’t anyone taught you manners?"

Upon saying this, he paused slightly, sneering, "I recall now, you come from a humble background, your mother ran away with someone else, perhaps you’ve never been taught manners, an unraised person, you’re really lucky to make it to the vice presidency."

He Ao quietly looked at him, slightly tilting his head, "Do you know me well? Have you investigated me?"

Upon this, he paused for a moment, then stepped forward, softly said, "Are you afraid of me?"

"You overestimate yourself," Vikael shook his head, his expression darkening, "No one fears a country bumpkin, even if you become Vice President, a B-level Extraordinary, you’re still just a country bumpkin."

He Ao raised his gaze, looked at him calmly, and said, "I don’t think you need to change the subject here,"

He stepped forward, instantly appearing in front of Vikael.

He lowered his head, gazing at Vikael’s wind-tousled hair strands, gazing at his suddenly tense face, "Tell me, where is my daughter."
