Life Game In Other World
Chapter 1938 - 1937: The Unknown Savior
[Talent Sequence 408: Dreamer]
[Main materials: Civilization core of a life-filled world, the spark of Desire’s flame]
[Auxiliary materials: Fragments of Netherworld Mountain, branches of the Tree of Soul, waves of the Sea of Mind]
[Preparation method: Grind the fragments of the Netherworld Mountain into a stone bowl, place the spark of Desire’s flame and the civilization core into it, wait for the core to melt in the flame, then add branches of the Tree of Soul. Wait for the reaction to complete, forming a fiery molten sphere, add the waves of the Sea of Mind to extinguish the flame, and extract the clear liquid from the top layer.]
[Promotion Ceremony: Fabricate a world so that the universe believes it to be true.]
In his mind, He Ao went over the Dreamer’s secret formula and ritual once more, slightly gathering his thoughts.
Sometimes, the fewer the words, the greater the matter.
He Ao had pondered this formula for a while, and from it, one could actually discern some characteristics of the Usurper God.
The Dreamer’s main material requires a civilization core capable of nurturing a world. There are many planets in the universe nurturing civilization, so this should not be too hard to find.
But that seemingly inconspicuous ’Desire’s flame’ might be a troublesome thing.
Desire is the authority of the elder sister, and the Dreamer’s main material surely isn’t something ordinary. So this Desire’s flame is likely related to the elder sister, making it extremely difficult to obtain.
Especially since the one needing these materials isn’t a powerful Usurper God, but an ordinary angel wishing to ascend, attempting to acquire these things would probably be akin to courting death.
No wonder the Talent Sequences periodic table places angels in the main table and Usurper Gods in the expanded table.
Of course, none of this really relates to He Ao, as he already possesses the Dreamer’s Talent Sequence.
Though acquiring the Dreamer’s Talent Sequence was no easier for him than finding the Desire’s flame.
Apart from the Talent Sequence, watching for another thing, the ’ritual’, is also required for ascension.
Among all the Promotion Ceremonies he had seen, the Dreamer’s ceremony was one of the shortest.
However, the difficulty could be somewhat infernal. What does it mean to fabricate a world and deceive the universe?
Fabricating a world is feasible, but how would one go about deceiving the universe?
Does it mean making the entire universe believe this is a real world, or is it making the universe’s laws operate according to the state of this being the real world?
Or could it be achieved directly by deceiving the Divine Being to meet the conditions of deceiving the ’universe’? After all, Divine Beings are incarnations of universal laws.
He Ao felt that he couldn’t figure this out anytime soon.
He shook his head, once again gathering his thoughts, and his steps crossed over a pile of ruins forming mountain peaks, raising his eyes to look ahead.
The sky was covered densely with flying crafts like thick black clouds, pressing beneath the firmament.
Below these flying crafts was a somewhat ’abrupt’ circular area.
Broken bricks were piled around this area, forming a somewhat crude wall.
Within this wall lay verdant grasslands, neatly growing crops, and people holding simple firearms, nervously watching the flying crafts overhead.
This appeared to be a ’farmland’ area, yet the mature wheat within the farmland did not seem to belong to this season.
A faint, invisible white glow enveloped this area, faintly lighting the entire region, making it starkly different from the desolate and gloomy ruins outside.
It was like an oasis amidst an apocalypse.
He Ao lifted his gaze, looking towards the center of the circular area.
There stood a snow-white crystal tree, somewhat slender, resembling a woman standing upright.
A faint white radiance slowly escaped from the tree’s tips, like a maiden’s white hair dancing in the wind, bringing life amidst this barren ruin, sheltering the last remaining lives within this circular area.
He Ao stayed silent for a moment upon seeing the crystal, then withdrew his gaze.
The flying crafts in the sky seemed already prepared, gun barrels pointed downward, gathering brilliant light.
This dense formation of flying crafts needed only a round of artillery fire to instantly erase that circular area from the land, turning it into another ruin.
Within that circular area, the remaining people tightened their grip on their firearms.
Someone seemed to shout something.
Then everyone picked up their weapons and started firing at the flying crafts in the sky.
The fire tongues flickered under the dim sky, tracer bullets like faintly discernible sparks, almost incapable of leaving a mark on those flying crafts.
Many bullets didn’t even hit the flying crafts.
These angry ’fires’ did not disrupt the ’rhythm’ of those flying crafts in the sky.
The gun barrels continued to slowly move downwards, aimed below.
This slow movement was like a countdown to execution, pressing down on everyone’s hearts below.
The ’resisting’ gunfire intensified, carrying a certain desperate frenzy.
The operators of these flying crafts seemed to relish this scene, continuing to slowly press the gun barrels downwards.
Finally, in the midst of that despairing gunfire, the gun barrels reached their proper position.
Faint yellow tongues of fire slowly spewed from the black gun barrels, lighting up the deep dark night sky.
Boom——
A violent roar exploded in the sky, the sound of the first flying craft blowing up.
Boom boom boom——
Immediately after, countless booming sounds further exploded in the sky, as numerous flying crafts blew up together.
The burning fire clouds illuminated the firmament, the surging flames scattering the dark clouds.
Those flying crafts that once obscured the sun now became the brightest firelight under the sky, even briefly dispelling the surrounding darkness.
Those shooting below stared blankly at this scene, as if unable to process what had just transpired.
They slowly lowered their weapons, gazing at the fireworks blooming in the sky.
After the night of utter destruction, it seemed they hadn’t seen such brilliant fireworks for a long time.
Firelight stretched from the center of the firmament to its edge.
Everyone stared blankly at it all, gazing upon this dazzling scene.
Among the crowd, some figures squatted down, beginning to wail uncontrollably without warning.
The cries spread like the wind, from one side of the region to the other, as one person after another began to weep uncontrollably.
At the front of the crowd, a man who seemed to be the leader was holding a gun, still nervously watching the flames spreading in the sky.
"So, did you see Mr. Ruodel?"
A soft inquiry sounded in his ear.
"Mr. Ruodel sacrificed himself long ago," the man replied instinctively, "On the night the world was destroyed, he encountered an unknown enemy and was killed."
"Is that so," He Ao withdrew his gaze, looking once again at the center of the circular area, "How did that tree come about?"
"That’s Lady Goya," the man said again instinctively, "Lady Goya was protecting the withdrawing survivors when she was struck by an invisible thunder, and severely injured. After she died, she transformed into that tree, forming a safe zone where plants quickly grew. We managed to survive in this safe zone."
At this point, he sighed slightly, looking up at the sky where the fires were still exploding, "I didn’t expect these drones from who knows where to arrive. It started with just one or two attacking, which we shot down, and then it was quiet for a few days. Then, suddenly, so many arrived. These things seem beyond our capability to produce, and their explosions seem a bit nonsensical, there might be some kind of conspiracy."
"Indeed," He Ao nodded slightly, "Thank you."
"You’re welcome," the man instinctively responded. He turned around, but what met his eyes was an empty scene.
He rubbed his head, sighed lightly, "Am I hallucinating?"
He withdrew his gaze, tightened his grip on the gun, and once again looked up at the explosive flames in the sky.
The fierce firelight illuminated his cheeks and shined upon the desolate ruins below the sky.
······
And above the sky, above those bursting flames, He Ao’s body had crossed the battlefield, flying towards a nearby mountain peak.
He looked up, gazing at the dim sky ahead.
In the depths of the sky, a massive shadow slowly emerged from beneath the gloomy firmament, looming high above the sky.
It was a gigantic spindle-shaped ship, floating in the sky like an enormous mountain, covering the heavens and earth.
Yet, it seemed so ’light,’ as if this massive body was devoid of gravity, effortlessly floating in the sky.
At this moment, this ship, as large as a mountain, was moving forward, heading in the direction He Ao had just come from.
It was like ’reinforcements’ responding to an alarm, ready to head to the battlefield for support.
Soon, the ship seemed to notice He Ao ahead, slowing down gradually.
He Ao raised his head, gazing at the ship.
He naturally recognized this ship.
This was the main structure of the front half of the Navigator.
The person controlling this ship had directly dismantled the front half of the Navigator and brought it to this world.
Even the way it sailed was the same as the Navigator’s flight through space.
Only, this world has gravity, while space does not.
He Ao could sense an invisible force attached to this ship, counteracting part of the gravity.
As the ship halted, numerous small spindle-shaped drones began to fly from around the ship, orbiting it like small satellites.
Clearly, the spindle-shaped drones He Ao saw earlier all originated from this ship.
And the moment He Ao saw this ship, he vaguely realized whom he might be facing.
He raised his eyes, looked at the massive ship, and smiled, "Won’t you come out to meet?"
The ship trembled slightly.
Then, a hatch at the front slowly opened, and a silver-haired girl dressed in tight leather slowly emerged from the hatch.
She hovered amidst the countless flying machines, lifted her head, and looked at He Ao, smiling, "Do we know each other?"
"Zhang Yusi," He Ao spoke, "Does the name sound familiar to you?"
The silver-haired girl slightly raised her elegant brows, "I know her, are you her friend?"
"I want to know," He Ao looked at her, his eyes slightly lowering, slowly asking, "Where did she go?"
In He Ao’s world, after the Velora incident, there was actually one more matter.
That was the Navigator incident, during which the God of Machinery’s believers attempted to use explorers abducted to the Velora to determine the Main World’s coordinates.
According to this world’s timeline, at that time, Boss Ruonati hadn’t reached the ruins nor sent the Main World coordinates yet.
If the God of Machinery’s believers on the Navigator had obtained the world coordinates, this world would have perished much earlier.
But in the end, the world waited until Ruonati sent the coordinates to the ruins before it was destroyed.
At first, He Ao wondered if it was because he wasn’t there to stop Ruonati, so those God of Machinery believers didn’t cause trouble.
That’s why he just asked the silver-haired girl if she knew ’Zhang Yusi.’
Zhang Yusi was one of the explorers abducted into the Navigator, later saved by He Ao.
And the silver-haired girl before him was also an ’acquaintance’ of He Ao.
She was A02, the main artificial intelligence of the Navigator, who had always been sealed in the Navigator’s control room, awaiting someone to remove the seal to complete her transformation from machinery to life.
In He Ao’s world, A02 lured He Ao to help her breach the seal, ultimately dying under the wrath of a good friend.
But in this world, without He Ao, A02 seemed to have normally broken the seal and even followed them to the Main World.
And clearly, A02 knew Zhang Yusi, indicating that the Navigator incident still happened, but those God of Machinery believers did not obtain the coordinates of the Main World.
And in the sky, A02, hearing He Ao’s inquiry, paused slightly and smiled, "Zhang Yusi was a good girl."
Hearing this sentence, He Ao vaguely responded, slowly asking, "Did she help you break the seal?"
"We made a transaction," A02 smiled, saying, "I told her that they were to be used as materials for extracting world coordinates, ultimately bringing destruction to the world. She requested my help, and in exchange, she and her companions voluntarily sacrificed themselves to help me break the seal."
"After they sacrificed themselves," He Ao looked at her, "the ceremony built around them as the core to generate coordinates naturally collapsed. You actually did nothing."
"But I fulfilled the agreement, in whatever way the contract was completed," A02 smiled, gazing at He Ao, "As long as the contract is completed, I remain faithful."
She slightly raised her eyes, looking at He Ao, "You seem to care about her; it seems she truly was your friend?"
"I’m just a bit emotional, realizing she would use this method to save the world." He Ao shook his head slightly.
Even in a world without ’He Ao,’ there are still those who step forward, seeking to prevent the coming of doomsday.
