Life Game In Other World

Chapter 1914 - 1913: Stealing the Dreamer

  • Next Chapter

The pervasive radiance unfurled in He Ao’s mind. In this brief moment, he sensed his field of view and cognition rapidly ’mutating’.

He had studied the Constructed Array given to him by the Holy Master. This Array itself seemed to be some sort of Constructed Array, and initially, He Ao didn’t know how this Array achieved the effect of ’stealing’.

But now, he understood.

The core function of this Array was not ’stealing,’ but rather to temporarily ’fuse’ him with the Dreamer’s corpse.

In other words, to have him ’become’ the Dreamer for a short time.

As He Ao’s soul approached the Dreamer’s remains through the Array, a multitude of fierce and twisted thoughts exploded in his mind.

This ’fusion’ required a high degree of compatibility in Mysticism, either being a direct bloodline of the Dreamer or being a high-ranking Transcendent of the same path, capable of temporarily fusing through the connection of Talent Sequences.

Of course, this fusion wasn’t a true fusion. It was equivalent to He Ao wearing the Dreamer’s ’mask’ and, in a mystical sense, becoming the Dreamer temporarily.

The probability of finding the Dreamer’s direct bloodline was very low; otherwise, the Holy Master wouldn’t have waited until now to act.

Moreover, it would be difficult to find the Angel on the Dreamer’s path, as these Angels were likely controlled by the Witch of Desire, with very few wandering outside. Otherwise, the Holy Master wouldn’t have pinned his hopes on He Ao.

He Ao becoming an Angel was indeed an unexpected event, as the Main World was hidden in some mysterious ’Deep Sea,’ beyond the Witch of Desire’s reach.

Looking back now, if He Ao had chosen to ascend as an Angel in the dungeon world, he would likely have quickly attracted the attention of the eldest sister, facing grim prospects.

The Witch of Desire indeed took every precaution against any possibility of the Dreamer’s resurrection.

From this perspective, it seemed that her sudden interest in He Ao arose after he exchanged for the Dream Phantom and became an Angel.

Gathering his thoughts, He Ao activated the Array, swiftly ’fusing’ with the Dreamer’s remains.

In that instant, the dazzling starlit sky flashed intensely. Simultaneously, the purple radiance in the sky also intensified rapidly, pressing down with overwhelming might upon the gray radiance above.

The gray silhouette lifted its gaze, withstanding the wrathful assault of the ethereal figure in the sky. The blurry face betrayed no visible expression.

"Do you know what ’stealing’ truly means?"

But at that moment, the enraged and booming voice echoed in He Ao’s mind, "To steal means not to be discovered! What you’re doing in front of the Witch of Desire is called seizing!"

"Don’t mind the details," He Ao retorted casually, "You hold them off for a bit longer. I’m nearly done; I’ll be finished soon."

In the fiercely flickering starlit sky, He Ao raised his gaze, glancing at the dazzling purple radiance overhead, "Don’t you think right now is actually a perfect opportunity?"

The furious voice went silent for a moment. Gray brilliance surged from the void, further resisting the Witch of Desire’s attack.

Meanwhile, He Ao’s soul immersed into the Dreamer’s remains.

The Dreamer seemed thoroughly deceased, with no discernible consciousness remaining in his remains, seemingly devoid even of any intent to resurrect.

As He Ao fused with the remains, the once unstable starlight settled completely, though it gradually grew ethereal.

Deep within the void, He Ao activated a second Array.

Some intangible mystical connection, spanning time and space, was established with He Ao.

This was the ’Dreamer’s’ Talent Sequence.

However, along with this mystical connection came a terrifying pressure.

It seemed the Witch of Desire had hidden the Dreamer’s Talent Sequence in some dreadful place.

Yet, given the circumstances, He Ao could no longer concern himself with that.

He took a gentle breath, his soul leaving his body, suddenly surging forward along that intangible mystical connection.

His body swiftly passed through the contending gray and purple radiance, immersing into the purple brilliance, rushing toward its origin in the distance.

In her effort to channel power, the Witch of Desire had broadened the power channel, allowing He Ao to reach the site of the mystical connection even faster.

Below, the ethereal purple figure remained with her head lowered, gazing at the gray vague silhouette below, seemingly unaware of any abnormality.

Even a Divine Being could be deceived; the Holy Master was indeed something.

Soon, He Ao felt the endless expanse of time and space overlapping, compressing, and distorting before his eyes, with the stars sweeping past like shadows.

He felt as if he were aboard a train traveling at an unimaginable speed, with endless time and the universe stretching into long streaks of light in his view.

But swiftly, he reached his destination.

It was a blurry space filled with purple radiance.

Countless desires and emotions surged and undulated like tides within this space.

Merely touching the purple radiance for an instant flooded his mind with ferocious emotions and taint, almost assimilating him into it in a heartbeat.

With difficulty, he relied on the mystic link still connecting him, barely regaining a sliver of reason.

He Ao took a deep breath, sensing the shifts in space-time, arduously ’swimming’ forward.

Were he solely reliant on the mystical connection established with ’Cito’ by the Holy Master’s Array, he would have been cut off and swallowed whole in the initial wave of the tide.

But fortunately, he had other mystical links.

He had the connection to the ’Deceased’ Character Card and to his own soul’s core.

The Array provided by the Holy Master required only that the user be a Memory Inheritor, not necessitating a complete Talent Sequence of a Memory Inheritor.

Thus, with just a fraction of dispersed soul, he managed to rely on the Array to infiltrate.

The sole issue was that he seemed too far from the core soul to communicate effectively.

He could only rely on that faint connection to ascertain both sides’ existence and exchange simple thoughts.

He felt like someone drowning in a typhoon, clutching a thread as thin as hair, struggling in this vast ocean.

All it would take is one slightly larger fierce wave to plunge his body into the Deep Sea, completely snapping the thread tethering him.

Yet despite this, he could only grit his teeth and press forward.

He attempted to activate the third Array given by the Holy Master, whose function was to amplify his mystic traits, facilitating the search for the Dreamer’s Talent Sequence.

In this tumultuous tide of emotions, the Array was swiftly activated.

In that moment, He Ao had a thought, looking toward a particular direction amidst this tide.

Some intangible allure surfaced in his heart.

His form struggled to traverse the tide, ’swimming’ toward the direction that drew him.

——

Vissen

Fine purple light entwined He Ao’s body, attempting to invade He Ao’s soul.

In the mist below, gray eyes and purple eyes appeared and disappeared, seemingly engaged in a struggle.

Since the successful attack on the Witch of Desire last time, the Grim Reaper seemed to intensify the biting, preventing the good friend from ’rescuing’ He Ao.

However, He Ao could also clearly feel that the power of the Witch of Desire was rapidly declining.

The reason is naturally simple, the Holy Master is still bearing the pressure.

Judging from the state of the Witch of Desire’s wrath, the Holy Master is likely a strong contender for the pressure king of this grand melee.

To deal with the Holy Master, the big sister has almost extracted all the power she should have, her main battlefield is no longer here but at the Winding Hill over there.

After all, she joined the battle because of the anomaly at Winding Hill, her hostility towards He Ao also comes from Winding Hill.

She wants to explore He Ao’s secret, wants to consume He Ao’s soul, she likely wants to know who is influencing the Winding Hill.

Now that side revealed its cards, the Witch of Desire naturally pulled most of her power over there.

However, she still left some power to suppress He Ao, continuing to attempt to pry into He Ao’s soul.

After all, the Holy Master is still bearing pressure over there, she might not be able to catch ’Cito’, and control ’Denos’ over here, at least she still has a backup plan.

Under normal circumstances, even if a Divine Being leaves only a little power, merely relying on the strength of angels, breaking free is still difficult.

Especially since the power He Ao displayed earlier was not considered strong.

But in fact, He Ao does not just have this little power.

Just as the fine purple light was about to completely penetrate his soul, He Ao suddenly opened his eyes.

In the sky above, in the central reflection of the inverted New Netherworld, the figure sitting on the throne within the mist cast its gaze this way.

The bright purple light pierced through the firmament in an instant, like a dazzling arrow, crashing onto the purple enchanting silhouette below.

Accompanied by a crisp sound, the enchanting silhouette shuddered slightly, and the light entwining He Ao’s body rapidly shattered.

He Ao immediately rolled his body, breaking free from the clamp of that enchanting silhouette, falling down toward Kovotra below.

The purple enchanting silhouette was about to continue the chase, and at that moment, a beam of gray light passed through the mist, striking the purple enchanting silhouette.

The enchanting silhouette shuddered slightly, and its whole body rapidly became illusory.

A new beam of gray light was about to rush out of the mist.

And at this moment, the purple eye also rushed out from the mist, blocking the gray beam of light.

Simultaneously, the purple eye raised upwards, sweeping a glance at the reflection of the New Netherworld in the sky.

The power just coming from the New Netherworld seemed to surprise her, allowing her good friend to find an opportunity to attack the incarnation of the Witch of Desire.

At this point, leveraging the gap of the multi-party mêlée, He Ao finally landed on the ground of Kovotra.

Actually, it is normal for the Grim Reaper to be surprised, because the New Netherworld reflection in the sky is just a reflection with no actual mystic encounter, merely looking intimidating.

If there really was a physical encounter, the Grim Reaper would have already tried to penetrate.

This is also why the Witch of Desire did not guard against the power of the New Netherworld.

But the power delivered from the New Netherworld was indeed real.

It’s just that it wasn’t directly descended from the New Netherworld overhead, but rather sent through the channel brought by her good friend.

The power of her good friend is used as a springboard through the New Netherworld, as long as her good friend is here, the power channel from the New Netherworld exists continuously.

As long as her good friend does not obstruct, He Ao can deliver power through this channel.

However, the power that can be sent over is limited, He Ao saved up for quite a while before delivering this strike.

But in the end, it is worth it.

As He Ao entered Kovotra, the somewhat illusory purple enchanting silhouette was prepared to chase down but was just blocked by the swirling mist.

Her good friend directly redirected the mist and battlefield in front of the purple enchanting silhouette, blocking the opponent’s path.

This could at least block the purple enchanting silhouette for a little while.

To be fair, her good friend is really reliable when being a teammate.

He Ao coughed lightly, lifted his head, and looked forward.

The crimson giant stood firmly before him.

While Sulan lowered his head, standing on this ancient land, gazing at He Ao.

"It seems you really want to kill me?" Sulan gazed at He Ao, looking at He Ao’s cold eyes, stirred his body.

Since he was resurrected just now once again, he already understood the Grim Reaper still valued him, His look no longer showed worry, only bold excitement.

He gazed at He Ao, his mouth curled into a grin, sneering, "Just now was the battlefield of the Divine Beings, I couldn’t leave here, couldn’t participate, but now that you’ve come knocking on the door, I have no choice but to send you on your way."

He Ao raised his gaze, calmly observing him and then hoarsely asked, "Do you regret it?"

"Regret what?" Sulan lowered his head, gazing at He Ao, then he raised his gaze, sweeping across the desolate ruins, laughing, "Regret not killing you cheerfully before? Well, I do regret it, I should have specifically sought you out before destroying Kovotra,"

He lowered his head, a hint of a grim smile hung on that massive head, "Crushing your bones to powder so you’re not still standing here asking me ’do you regret it.’"

He Ao raised his head, calmly observing him, his gaze somewhat silent.

He sighed lightly, raised his black longsword.

The time his good friend bought for him would not be particularly long, the Witch of Desire would eventually break through the obstruction and come in, he needed to seize every second.

"Hahaha," Sulan lowered his head, looking at He Ao, laughing loudly, "So you want to kill me? You can kill me?! With just you?! Denos, you overestimate—"

His words suddenly halted because the pitch-black longsword had already sliced through his body, dividing his body into two.

Simultaneously, intense purple flames accompanied the cut wound, fiercely burning, engulfing Sulan’s entire body.

In just an instant, only a layer of scattered ashes remained on the ground.

But He Ao did not leave, instead, he lowered his head, gazing at this layer of scattered ashes.

The ritual of Kovotra remains upheld, not adversely affected, the dazzling purple light still glimmers on the ground.

And the scattered dust resided in the sky, gradually writhing.
