Life Game In Other World
Chapter 1879 - 1878: Angel of the Path of Desire
The power originally overflowing from the coffin was abruptly cut off, and He Ao’s blurred body shattered with a resounding boom.
Thud—
A massive force surged from within the coffin, pushing against the closed coffin lid and opening another crack. Dense black radiance flowed out of the coffin, once again forming a blurry humanoid shape.
"Ha, foolish creature." The girl in the white dress watched this scene and sneered coldly.
She raised her hand, and an even more terrifying force descended from all directions. "Struggle, entertain me."
At the same time, amid this pressure, delicate strands of purple radiance began to seep into the crack of the coffin, carried by the dreadful pressure.
The black mist escaping from the coffin soon noticed the seeping purple radiance. The mist surged rapidly, like a breath, trying to squeeze out the purple radiance.
But the purple radiance was so delicate and surging that it quickly found gaps in the mist, burrowing into it like it was soft soil.
He Ao, constructed of mist, turned his head to glance at the coffin behind him.
His ’field of view’ seemed to undergo a strange transformation at this moment.
The purple radiance penetrated his power, his body, and his soul.
The shelves piled up around him, the towering lofts, gradually transformed into bright sunlight.
A towering stone city wall appeared in his field of view.
He Ao lowered his head and looked at his palm.
The originally black mist gradually dissipated, revealing a slightly rough hand with calluses. He lowered his head again and looked at his body.
The body of black mist gradually transformed into luxurious attire. He Ao raised his head and looked around.
Muddy walls appeared from the fog, and silhouettes sketched themselves between heaven and earth.
"Latest news, latest news—" A young boy ran along the road paved with gravel, waving a coarse piece of paper loudly in his hand. "The Senate has approved the development of the new district—"
The boy’s body passed He Ao like a gust of wind, brushing against his clothes.
"Mr. Denos," among the crowd, an elderly man recognized He Ao and excitedly approached, waving his hand, "Do you remember me? I served as a Guardian when you rebuilt the city back in the day."
"Andek." He Ao looked at him and smiled, "I remember you."
"You actually remember me," the elderly man said excitedly, "I’m so grateful, so grateful, I don’t know what to say."
He Ao looked at him, paused, then smiled and nodded, "I remember you."
"Mr. Denos," immediately afterward, another figure emerged from the crowd, excitedly approaching He Ao.
"Vikster." He Ao called out his name.
"Mr. Denos!" "Mr. Denos!"
Immediately, one silhouette after another stepped forward from the crowd and approached He Ao.
He Ao called out their names one by one.
These people formed a group, tightly surrounding He Ao in the center, almost blocking the entire street.
Most of them were elderly, but there were also some young people.
Some people wore tattered clothes, while others wore luxurious furs.
They surrounded He Ao tightly, looking at him with excitement.
"We are all very grateful to you. It is all thanks to you that Kovotra looks the way it does today."
Looking at those grateful faces, He Ao was silent for a moment.
"Denos?" At this moment, a gentle call echoed in He Ao’s ear.
He looked up in the direction of the voice.
He saw a woman in gray linen, ponytail tied, looking at him with some uncertainty.
"Isela?" He Ao looked at the woman and paused slightly.
The woman lifted her head and gazed at He Ao, "What are you doing here?"
He Ao gestured for the crowd around him to make way, then squeezed his way through the crowd.
He walked to the woman, looked at her slightly haggard face, and examined the fine lines at her corners of her eyes and forehead.
She wasn’t beautiful, yet she was so enchanting.
Instinctively, He Ao reached out to touch her cheek, brushed her strands of hair back and tucked them behind her ear.
"What’s up?" The woman looked up, glanced around.
She looked up at He Ao, also reaching out to touch He Ao’s cheek, which was very slack, "Why have you become so old, your flesh has sagged."
"Really," He Ao chuckled, looking at the woman in front of him, "Perhaps it’s from waiting too long."
He Ao locked eyes with those calm pupils, "You’re still the same as before."
"It’s rare for you to say something complimentary," the woman smiled gently, "And how is the child? How is he doing?"
"He’s doing well," He Ao paused, withdrew his hand, and said softly, "He’s brewing wine, opened a tavern. Honestly, his skills are quite impressive, very much like you."
"I always said that since he was little, he’s as clever as you, can accomplish anything he sets out to do." The woman showed a slight smile, looking around at the mud walls and people, "Is this Kovotra? It’s completely different from Xiqilelan. Here, there are walls made of mud, and the houses are so big. Xiqilelan is mostly stone-built houses."
"Xiqilelan needs to withstand blizzards, so the buildings need to be sturdy and warm," He Ao smiled and said, "Here, blizzards are rare, there’s plenty of soil, and compacted earth can bear weight and insulate well too."
"Amazing." The woman marveled, curiously scanning her surroundings, taking steps forward, "The world is so big, with so many different places."
He Ao quietly gazed at her back, stood there.
The woman walked many steps forward, noticed He Ao hadn’t followed, she turned her head to him, somewhat puzzled, "What’s wrong?"
"As people get older, they start to reminisce about past stories." He Ao looked at her and said softly.
He raised his head, looked at the bustling city around him, the people coming and going, then brought his gaze back to the woman in front of him.
"Is this the dream realm you’ve woven for them? It looks really nice," He Ao paused, "Even knowing it’s a Dream, it’s hard not to want to stay."
"Young people fantasize about the future, older people are lost in the past," the woman put her hand down, looked at He Ao, "True Angel Envoys of desire never manipulate desire but extend an invitation."
She gazed at He Ao, all the people around turned to look at He Ao, "If you wish, you can always stay here."
"Forever?" He Ao softly asked, looking at the city around him.
"Forever," the woman quietly gazed at him, "The era will conform to your wishes, all stories can continue, there is no death or fear, only eternal peace."
Her face gradually became blurred, her cheeks akin to an invisible cocoon, then the cocoon broke open from within, and two vivid butterfly wings emerged, resting upon her face like a mask.
And behind her, the figures also gazed at He Ao, clusters of colorful butterfly wings resting upon their cheeks, covering their faces.
Everything fell silent, the world became eerily still.
He Ao lifted his head and looked at the sky.
The bright sun seemed like a cocoon too, pierced from within, and two gigantic butterfly wings stretched out, unfurling, covering the entire sky.
All this was bizarre, yet so real.
As long as He Ao chose to ’believe,’ everything could revert to its original form.
"We all know," a soft voice sighed amidst the oddity, "you do not belong to this era. Here there are turmoil, ideals, conflicts, passion, but they do not belong to you. You can still choose to remain in the era that belongs to you."
He Ao quietly observed all this, then he slightly raised his hand, looking at the giant sun from which butterflies were born in the sky.
One hand held an invisible grip in the void, while the other slightly pulled back.
As if there was a colossal bowstring in his hands.
Subsequently, the hand at the back lightly pulled back.
Purple brilliance gathered in his hand, outlined beneath the sky, accompanying his motion, a massive strong bow appeared between his hands.
He held the bow’s body in one hand and pulled the bowstring with the other, terrorizing pressure gathered on the bow’s body, a distorted force trembling along the taut string.
Glimmers of vague brilliance gathered on the bowstring, condensed at the tips of He Ao’s fingers pulling the bowstring, then these glimmers converged, connecting the bow’s body and the string, transforming into a straight long arrow.
A jet-black brilliance engulfed the blurred arrow shaft, instantly painting the entire long arrow black.
He Ao lifted his gaze, looking at the enormous butterfly that enveloped the sky.
Trembling brilliance slowly engraved upon that jet-black long arrow.
An unseen pressure spread from the arrow shaft.
The surrounding distorted world began to tremble at this moment, the butterflies covering the faces slightly fluttered their wings.
An unsettling shriek emerged from the depths of the world, "Denos, you have abandoned the peace of this moment and cannot be saved. The only thing greeting you is death, with no other choice."
He Ao quietly listened to the voice, without making any response, but further drew back the bowstring.
Terrifying twisted force gathered on the bowstring, carrying a tremorous distorted raving, overlapping with the jet-black brilliance.
"Arrogance, ignorance, stupidity!" The entire Illusion World’s base began to tremble, certain shrieking roars, like overlapping thunder, resounded in every corner of the world.
Then these overlapping sounds congregated, like sharp knives piercing the soul, howling, tearing, trembling.
Ultimately, these sharp knives gathered together, transforming into a sharp blade, suddenly emerging from beneath He Ao.
Yet He Ao did not dodge or respond, but continued to pull on the long bowstring, terrifying pressure spreading from the bowstring.
That sharp blade soared into the sky, piercing through the entire illusory world.
But in the next instant, the entire world began to tremble violently.
"Ah—"
Accompanied by overlapping, intense cries of pain.
The bodies covered by butterfly masks shattered thunderously, leaving only the last shadow, standing in this desolate ancient city.
It’s the elderly standing there, pulling on the bowstring.
The jet-black long arrow aimed at the sky, aiming at the ripped sun from which butterfly wings emerged.
The sharp blade protruded from beneath He Ao, but did not pierce He Ao,
while in the direction of He Ao’s long arrow, a sharp blade had already pierced the dim sun, piercing through the core of the enormous butterfly that covered the firmament.
"How could it be?!"
Accompanied by intense trembling in a female voice, the surrounding world rapidly began to collapse.
Yet He Ao made no move, only pulling taut the piano strings, aiming at the sky.
In the jet-black long arrow, increasingly terrifying pressure began to rapidly gather.
Coffin of Time’s power can alter perception, on this basis, He Ao used Super Memory as a supplement and enhancement of the power, modifying Ai Luoti’s perceptual identity.
In her perception, she thought of He Ao, whereas it was actually herself; she thought of herself, whereas it was actually He Ao.
Thus her full-force strike actually dealt a heavy blow to herself, also tearing apart the barrier constructed by Coffin of Time’s power, restoring her original perception.
And as the Illusion World shattered, jet-black haze once again enveloped He Ao’s body.
The surrounding real scene reappeared in He Ao’s field of view.
At this moment, around He Ao, dense figures already surrounded him, they stood there, eyes enveloped by purple brilliance, densely clustered together, surrounding He Ao’s body.
They were so near to He Ao, close enough that some of the bodies were already standing beneath the floating coffin in the air.
Invisible brilliance connected them with the figures in the sky, but at this moment, the brilliance was flickering intensely.
And that purple brilliance that covered everyone’s pupils also began to flicker at this moment.
Just now Ai Luoti in the Illusion World, with her full-force strike, while dealing a heavy blow to herself, simultaneously affected the entire vast ’Dreamscape,’ tearing apart the entire Dreamscape.
At this moment, those trapped in the Dreamscape rapidly realized the ’illusion’ in the dream, ’awakening’ at a speed visible to meat eyes.
And in the sky above, the figure connected by countless brilliance was violently twisting its body.
Two enormous illusory butterfly wings began faintly emerging from her body, as if wanting to tear through her body, ’break the cocoon and emerge.’
Just now that forceful blow already affected Ai Luoti’s Reason, making her gradually unable to control her frantic state.
The Secret Wizard possessed a profound understanding of Technique and Mysticism.
And as the figure in the sky trembled, the connections attached to the figure began to grow increasingly unstable.
Strum—
As the first line broke with sound impact, the surrounding dense lines broke nearly simultaneously.
All this happened extremely quickly, from world shattering to line breaking, it actually only took an instant.
And in that instant, He Ao let go of his hand, the jet-black long arrow shot off the string.
The surrounding void folded and compressed at this moment.
