Chapter 2189: Chapter 2189: Verbal Truth (10)
A certain room.
The man was leaning lazily on the sofa, wearing a loosely-tied hotel robe that exposed his abs.
"Click—"
The room door was pushed open, and someone came in from outside. Leading the group was a handsome man, wearing a black Tang suit with dragon embroidery that he somehow made look high-fashion.
"You actually came back?" The man saw someone enter, clicked his tongue, and got up from the sofa, his robe falling even more open.
"Put on your clothes properly." Fei Jiang sat down directly, rather disdainfully.
"What are you afraid of, we’re all men here, and you’re not gay anyway." The man didn’t mind as he flung his robe open and patted his body: "How about these abs? Aren’t you jealous? I worked hard for these!"
Fei Jiang flashed a sarcastic smile: "Worked out in bed? Watch your kidneys."
The man chuckled: "People like you don’t know what heaven on earth means. Shame about your face, though, it would be great if it was mine. What do you think if I got a face just like yours?"
"Go give it a try." Fei Jiang’s smile didn’t reach his eyes.
"..."
The man suddenly felt a bit cold, pulled his robe tight, and decided against it.
Fei Jiang found the hotel room air a little stuffy, the scent too overpowering, and didn’t want to stay longer: "Why did you call me over?"
"Did I call you?" The man was confused, but then suddenly realized: "Oh, right. I remember now." He turned and got a document from the cabinet, tossing it to Fei Jiang.
Fei Jiang flipped through it, roughly confirming it was what he needed, and then took it to leave.
"Hey, wait a sec." The man called after Fei Jiang, waggling his eyebrows: "There’s a little gift waiting. How about I give it to you?"
Fei Jiang didn’t need an explanation to guess what kind of "gift" he meant.
He wasn’t interested in these things.
"No need."
Fei Jiang walked straight out, leaving with the others.
The man chased to the door: "Why do you lack any sense of romance?"
Unmoved, Fei Jiang headed for the elevator without looking back. Inside the elevator, just as the doors were about to close, he saw something out of the corner of his eye.
He abruptly reached out to press the open button.
"Sir?" The person beside him was puzzled.
Fei Jiang stepped out of the elevator, throwing over his shoulder: "You guys go back first."
The people in the elevator exchanged glances but didn’t dare defy Fei Jiang, so they obediently went back first.
-
The door was about to close but was blocked from outside at the last moment.
"Hmm?" The man turned to meet Fei Jiang’s gaze, raising an eyebrow with a smile: "Changed your mind?"
Fei Jiang glanced inside the room, where a young girl stood obediently, head bowed, eyes downcast, her dress elegantly outlining her slender waist.
"Give her to you?"
Fei Jiang’s face darkened: "Out."
"No, no need to rush, you..."
Fei Jiang’s tone grew more sinister: "Leave if you don’t want to die."
The man: "..."
He glanced at the young girl recently brought in, then at Fei Jiang, and probably sensing something was off, left without a word, wrapped in his robe.
The door clicked shut.
Chuzheng was also surprised to see her "Good Person Card" here, and in such a situation.
This doesn’t seem like a good start...
The Good Person Card seemed a bit off.
This is bad!
Chuzheng’s heart panicked, but outwardly she maintained a calm and composed demeanor as she looked at Fei Jiang.
Fei Jiang casually locked the door and asked in a neutral tone: "What are you doing here?"
Fei Jiang felt anything but calm inside, as a storm of emotion threatened to consume him, wanting to tear the person in front of him apart.
How dare she...
Enter this room!
If he hadn’t seen it today, would it have...
Thinking of this, Fei Jiang couldn’t suppress the fury inside.
He wanted this girl, and wouldn’t allow anyone else to touch her.
[Mainline mission: Please obtain a Good Person Card from Fei Jiang, and rescue the blackened Good Person Card.]
Chuzheng: "..."
You bastard, you dog!!
[...] As long as the young lady is happy, I’m used to it, whatever.
The King’s Account opted to hide.
Chuzheng remained composed: "Why can’t I be here?"
I just wanted to see which gutsy bastard...
Fei Jiang walked towards Chuzheng, gripped her wrist, and pulled her closer, eyes filled with shadows: "Do you know what it means to enter this room?"
Chuzheng hesitated briefly, then cautiously answered: "Does it mean I’ll beat up the person just now?"
"???"
This was not the answer Fei Jiang had expected.
The hostility in his heart unexpectedly settled down, as if pacified by someone.
His lips moved slightly, his voice still cold: "Why did you come to this room?"
Chuzheng said seriously: "Because someone wanted me here, I wanted to see which dog it was." And maybe... teach him some core socialist values.
What’s wrong?
Is that not okay?
Fei Jiang: "Who?"
"..." Chuzheng innocently pointed at the person who just left.
I hadn’t even had a chance to ask before you came in!
Fei Jiang’s eyes darkened. He had known that person for a while, and although he had few boundaries, he wouldn’t do such things. This was definitely someone’s setup...
"Fei Jiang, I’m feeling a bit hot, let me go first."
Fei Jiang returned to his senses, glanced down, noticing her face was now slightly flushed, and her fair skin looked like it could be squeezed to produce water.
Desire...
What do I want to do?
-
In truth, Chuzheng was feeling warm.
It felt like she was wrapped in a quilt on a hot summer day, and this sensation rose quickly, unnaturally so.
Damn!
Chuzheng cursed silently, her eyes icy.
Wasn’t the scent she smelled below meant to cause unconsciousness?
No, she had delayed downstairs for quite some time, if it wasn’t for something that would have taken effect, this wouldn’t still be happening.
Chuzheng thought she might crash.
And in front of the Good Person Card too.
A bit humiliating...
How can a big shot crash! Absolutely not!
Ding—
Fei Jiang’s phone buzzed.
Fei Jiang came back to reality, loosening his grip, fishing out his phone to check, initially intending to mask his previous unease, but upon seeing the message, his face grew even grimmer.
Chuzheng slightly raised her eyes, Fei Jiang had glanced away from his phone, his expression strange as he looked at her, his eyes seemingly hiding some deep secrets that were hard to fathom.
Chuzheng exhaled, her tone still steady: "I’m going to the bathroom."
Fei Jiang grabbed her wrist again, his face somewhat sullen as he met Chuzheng’s gaze, enunciating each word: "Are you sure you don’t want my help?"
"..." Did he notice? Chuzheng held a straight face: "No need." I can endure! Mustn’t act against the Good Person Card, I can bear it!
Fei Jiang chuckled, suddenly picking up Chuzheng in his arms.
His voice rang softly: "I remember you’re of age."
Hmm, hmm, hmm?
What do you want to do!
... if the Good Person Card takes the initiative, then it’s not my problem, he made the first move!
