Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System
Chapter 751 - 320: Guarding Pigs (Bandits) 3
At this moment, a jaw-dropping scene unfolded within the Indian Ancient Ruins. A giant wild boar, significantly larger than a typical boar, charged at a young man, but he deftly dodged it.
The young man was none other than Li Younan.
In these three days, the number of his hunts exceeded anyone’s imagination.
He hadn’t counted specifically, but the wild boars dead by his hand numbered no fewer than forty, perhaps even fifty.
Avoiding such charges was second nature to him.
After dodging, Li Younan seized the opportunity to skillfully slip an open lasso around the boar’s neck. He then yanked it with the momentum, tying the knot tight and secure.
Unless the boar had hands, there was no way it could untie it.
On the lasso was Li Younan’s GPS tracking system.
After achieving all this, the giant boar halted, turned its head, and charged at Li Younan again. But he simply leaped to an adjacent ravine and stood on top, chuckling, "I’ll deal with you later."
The boar’s vertical vision was evidently flawed, its ability to perceive objects and judge distances above was extremely weak. Once Li Younan jumped to the higher ground, the boar was instantly bewildered. It grunted several times but couldn’t find Li Younan, and gradually calmed down.
This moment was captured by Li Younan’s camera. He had ended the live broadcast and was now using his action camera to record everything locally.
He crouched down slowly and watched the giant boar below with a keen interest.
This boar was considerably larger than a regular wild boar. Its body was burly, with short, powerful limbs, a shoulder height close to its rump height, and a slightly arched back.
Notably, its head accounted for almost a third of its body, with long tusks curving upwards, and the exposed parts estimated to be around ten centimeters long, like daggers. Coarse bristles covered its entire body, making it look incredibly fierce.
At this moment, the GPS tracker hanging from its neck was firmly locked by the knot.
Li Younan stood up and said, "I need to verify my theory. I’m certain those two guys have a hidden agenda, but I can’t confirm if they are targeting me. What I suspect more is that they are tracking me using the GPS tracker, so I’m leaving this tracker on the just giant boar and then finding a spot to observe from."
Then he turned his head and looked at the nearly vertical cliff near the ruins, about seventy or eighty meters high. It was covered with vegetation, providing an excellent vantage point to overlook the scene below while remaining concealed from prying eyes.
Li Younan chuckled, "Next, I’ll climb up. If those two guys are indeed coming for me and using the GPS tracker, being at that position will prove my theory."
Since Li Younan had arrived on horseback, he could be sure the two hadn’t arrived yet after he arranged all this.
Li Younan pondered for a moment, and before climbing, he ran outside the ruins to his white pony, leaving his backpack on it and attaching a button camera to the saddle to record everything.
This button camera was highly concealed; attached to the saddle, it was barely visible unless inspected closely.
Upon arranging all this, Li Younan turned around and began climbing the cliff.
This cliff was perilous for the average person, but for Li Younan, he ascended to the top with ease.
He found a perfect platform for hiding, concealed by shrubbery, making it almost impossible for anyone to spot him. Moreover, from this vantage point, he could clearly see the ruins below.
All he had to do next was patiently wait.
...
There were still several hours until the scheduled time at noon; it was currently nine in the morning. Li Younan checked the time, realizing he had waited over an hour without seeing the two men, making him wonder if he had misunderstood the situation.
Just as this thought entered his mind, two figures clad in windbreakers appeared at the horizon’s edge.
Li Younan felt a rush of excitement.
Frankly speaking, he wasn’t sure why he was pleased, but seeing the two men made him feel more at ease.
He retrieved his binoculars and quietly observed these unexpected visitors.
Through his lens, the crew-cut man held a device resembling a tablet, inspecting the scenery ahead seemingly to verify something. Subsequently, the two communicated briefly and moved forward in a stealthy manner.
Honestly, upon witnessing this, Li Younan’s suspicions were almost confirmed.
These men couldn’t have been sent by the ranch. On one hand, the ranch had little motive for such mystery; on the other, ranch workers were genuine cowboys, none of whom acted so furtively.
As the two stealthily moved outside the ruins, they quickly spotted the white pony.
At that moment, they hid behind a bush and spent considerable time observing the white pony, repeatedly checking and confirming with that tablet device.
After some discussion, the crew-cut man alone ventured out from behind the bushes.
