Chapter 2999: The Might of the Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact

Declan Hawkins did not plan to continue his attack after reeling back his hand.

Because, just a moment ago, he had exerted all his strength, yet still could not break through the defense of the person in front of him.

Continuing to attack would yield the same result, so it’s better to save his strength.

"I underestimated you."

Looking at Wyatt Barnes, after saying this, Declan Hawkins turned around, ready to leave.

"Did I say you could leave?"

Wyatt Barnes squinted his eyes into slits, gave a cold smile, and the Immortal Origin fused with the element of earth within him began to boil even more, emanating a dense and formidable aura.

Upon hearing Wyatt’s words, Declan paused his movement, then turned his head to give Wyatt a casual glance, "I admit, your defense is strong, I cannot kill you."

"But how can your speed compare to mine? Even if I don’t actively attack, just by dodging, I can easily evade any of your attacks!"

As Declan spoke, his tone was full of pride, "I can’t break your defense, but you can’t keep up with my speed."

"I can’t kill you... and you can’t kill me either!"

Declan was exceedingly confident in his speed.

It must be known that the law rule he comprehended was the Wind System Law, adept in speed, and among the profound meanings he mastered, besides the basic ones, he also grasped the ’Profound Meaning of Swiftness,’ which focuses on speed!

As his words fell, Declan turned around and drifted away.

Just in the moment Declan turned away, Wyatt Barnes’ voice coldly rang out: "But what if I use an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact?"

Wyatt’s voice pierced Declan’s ears, causing Declan to subconsciously halt his figure.

The next moment, when he hastily turned his head, he saw that the King Grade Immortal Artifact staff in Wyatt’s hand had vanished, replaced by a ring.

This ring was unlike ordinary rings, surrounded by nine sharp angles, each with different shapes, looking extremely strange.

Moreover, the ring was entirely crimson red, and that was not a dyed color, but the natural color of the material forged into the ring.

The ring’s aura was restrained, not as dazzling as a King Grade Immortal Artifact, but as Wyatt Barnes infused his power into it, the ring began to emit an aura even scarier than a King Grade Immortal Artifact!

Furthermore, when this aura appeared and spread out, even from a distance, Declan Hawkins seemed to smell the scent of death.

"Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact!"

If when Wyatt spoke of an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact, Declan suspected he was bluffing,

Then upon sensing the aura emanating from the ring in Wyatt’s hand, Declan was one hundred percent sure that Wyatt indeed held an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact!

"How is this possible?!"

"He is just a Love Rowan Upper Immortal, how could he possess an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact?!"

At this moment, Declan’s mind was filled with disbelief, unable to accept that Wyatt held an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact.

After all, even the Hawkins Family behind him, a dignified Seventh-Grade Family, did not own an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact.

Furthermore, even if the Hawkins Family possessed an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact, they wouldn’t dare expose it easily; once exposed, they couldn’t possibly hold onto it.

In the Mystic Abyss Mansion realm, only the Three Sects and Two Clans affiliated under its banner could keep an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact.

Of course, for the Three Sects and Two Clans to keep an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact, they must receive approval from the Mystic Abyss Mansion.

This illustrates the priceless nature of an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact.

And now, seeing an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact in the hands of a Love Rowan Upper Immortal was unfathomable to Declan, to the point of feeling it was beyond belief!

"Escape!"

Instantly, Declan regained his senses, with only one thought left:

Escape!

Indeed, his speed was unmatched by Wyatt, who was less adept in velocity.

But now, with Wyatt possessing an Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact, the situation was entirely different... at least, Wyatt’s attack speed was on par with his own speed!

Now, his only option was to flee from Wyatt’s attack range; as long as Wyatt couldn’t catch up, he could escape alive.

Yet, what Declan thought of, wouldn’t Wyatt think of too?

If Wyatt wasn’t confident, would he deliberately inform Declan about his Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact?

"Want to escape? But, can you really escape?"

Seeing Declan Hawkins enveloped in cyan gusts of wind, accelerating at an exaggerated speed, as if transforming into a rapid breeze, Wyatt Barnes’ mouth curved into a cold smirk.

"Gravity Space Profound Meaning!"

And almost as Wyatt’s words fell, a pressure that had been lying in wait suddenly enveloped the yet-to-flee-far Declan Hawkins, causing his figure to halt momentarily.

The suction from Wyatt Barnes’ direction forcefully pulled at Declan’s body, not slowing him much, but slowing him nonetheless.

Buzz!!

In the brief instant when Declan’s figure stalled and slightly reduced in speed, Wyatt’s right hand flicked, and the Emperor Grade Immortal Artifact ring brimming with power was released.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

...

The ring howled out, with its nine diamond corners flashing sharp gleams, resembling nine indestructible swords, capable of tearing through anything!

The ring in Wyatt Barnes’ hand was precisely the Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact ’Xuan Yang Nine Diamond Ring,’ an Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact that Brother Patel had temporarily left with him in the past.

Typically, he wouldn’t dare take this Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact out and expose it to others.

Today, he dared to take it out because he was confident it wouldn’t be exposed, as the dead cannot spread word of it.

Additionally, within the South Heaven’s Ancient Realm, no communication Immortal Talismans can be used.

The formations within the South Heaven’s Ancient Realm restrict the use of all communication Immortal Talismans.

This is done to prevent individuals from prematurely forming alliances and overwhelming lone targets.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

...

Though fleeing rapidly, Declan Hawkins could clearly hear the increasingly closer buzzing sound behind him, akin to bees.

This sound reaching his ears felt like the call of the Grim Reaper, causing his heart to race with anxiety, his heart and guts were on the verge of rupturing!

"He...he has actually comprehended the Gravity Space Profound Meaning of the Earth-attribute Law to such a degree!"

Although Declan Hawkins could feel from the force enveloping him that Wyatt Barnes was still a ways away from comprehending the Gravity Space Profound Meaning to the ’entry-level’ stage,

but in his eyes, this was the third Profound Meaning of the Earth-attribute Law that Wyatt Barnes had comprehended!

Under a hundred years old, comprehending the foundation Profound Meaning of the Earth-attribute Law, comprehending one main defensive Profound Meaning of the Earth-attribute Law to ’entry-level,’ and comprehending the third Profound Meaning of the Earth-attribute Law to such a degree...

What kind of ’monster’ had he encountered?

If it weren’t for the not particularly powerful suction engulfing him, he’d have been confident in shaking off the Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact chasing from behind...

But just because of the not particularly powerful suction, his speed had decreased a bit, making him unable to shake off the Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact.

"No—"

As the Xuan Yang Nine Diamond Ring was only over ten meters away from Declan Hawkins, with its sharp brilliance raging, about to fall upon Declan Hawkins, he shouted furiously, hastily came to his senses, and forcibly halted himself.

In the next moment, the cyan astral wind was increasingly concentrated on his body.

Simultaneously, a jade-green armor phantom appeared on his body surface, and the cyan astral wind completely merged into it the instant the armor phantom appeared.

Furthermore, Declan Hawkins’s other methods all aided the jade-green armor phantom, forming a solid defense around his body.

However, despite this, Declan Hawkins’s face was pale as paper because he had no confidence that his defense could withstand the attack of the Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact.

"If you dare to kill me...the Hawkins Family will never forgive you!"

Declan Hawkins fiercely stared at Wyatt Barnes who was still rushing from afar; upon speaking again, he leveraged the Hawkins Family behind him in an attempt to use it as a threat to get Wyatt to stop.

"That would depend on whether the Hawkins Family can find out it’s me who killed you."

Wyatt Barnes, whose speed lagged behind the Xuan Yang Nine Diamond Ring, gave a mocking smile upon hearing Declan Hawkins’s threat.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

...

Simultaneously, the nine corners of the Xuan Yang Nine Diamond Ring brought forth nine sharp rays, descending upon the defenses of Declan Hawkins’s body surface.

Nine sharp rays, one after another, sliced through Declan Hawkins’s defense; one was blocked, the second continued falling, the third directly ruptured his defense.

"Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact...this strong?!"

At this moment, Declan Hawkins clearly felt the terrifying nature of the Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact, and dared not continue defending, intending to flee again with a movement.

However, the suction engulfing him prevented him from displaying the speed he had at his peak.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

Because of his hasty escape, resulting in slightly weakened defenses, the Xuan Yang Nine Diamond Ring ripped his defenses completely apart with only three rotations.

"No—"

And with his defenses completely torn apart, at the brink of life and death, Declan Hawkins shouted furiously again, but this shout was filled with extreme unwillingness.

Just due to the disparity of having an Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact, he was going to die at the hands of an opponent with comparable strength, where neither could overpower the other.

How could he be willing?

Slash!

But regardless of Declan Hawkins’s unwillingness, he ultimately died under the ring of the Xuan Yang Nine Diamond Ring, at Wyatt Barnes’s hands.

Declan Hawkins’s body was forcibly torn apart by the Xuan Yang Nine Diamond Ring, and after gasping his last breath, his eyes were wide open, his mouth gaping, showing his extreme discontent.

Crack!

After Declan Hawkins’s death, his score jade plaque shattered, and the points were obtained by Wyatt Barnes’s score jade plaque.

Simultaneously, Wyatt Barnes adeptly collected his Storage Ring.

Declan Hawkins, whose current talent and comprehension in the Hawkins Family were known as the ’first,’ a monstrous genius, had died in the South Heaven’s Ancient Realm, at Wyatt Barnes’s hands.

And all of this, because Wyatt Barnes had a pure offensive Emperor-grade Immortal Artifact!
