Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny

Chapter 1917 - 986: Holding the President Hostage to Command the Sky Rail_2

Once again, unwilling to back down, Ji Jue was surrounded by the Face Stripping Legion and beaten up, ultimately resigning in shame, unable to match their numbers.

Frustrated!

If it weren't for not bringing enough spiritual reserves and unable to open the Nine Forms, would I be in such a sorry state?!

Sitting in the lobby of Central Station, Ji Jue ate his homemade dinner, watching the dogs come and go, and couldn't help but ask, "Why are they all dogs?"

"Huh?"

The Dispatcher was puzzled, "Isn't that nice? They're so cute!"

"No, I mean, did the Sky Rail people love dogs so much back then?" Ji Jue scratched his chin, "It's fine to like them, but why have they raised them to be so awesome?"

"Everyone does love the fluffiness, but many are cat people, some love reptiles or other eccentric pets, in short, tastes are quite diverse."

The Dispatcher stroked his chin, reminiscing, "But, there's one thing you got wrong, they're not raised by the Sky Rail, rather they are... part of the Sky Rail."

"What do you mean?"

Ji Jue paused his bread-eating momentarily.

"You should be able to tell that these furry kids aren't ordinary living beings, right?"

"Yeah."

Ji Jue nodded.

Though they look and feel like dogs, and their personalities and temperaments are similar to dogs, in reality, they resemble a kind of existence that transcends ordinary norms, making it hard to discern if they qualify as life, merely resembling dogs by coincidence.

"What if I told you they were actually the earliest employees of the Sky Rail?"

The Dispatcher smiled, "You should've guessed it, Ji Jue, it's just that you never thought in that direction. They actually are more qualified than humans to represent the Sky Rail."

"What the hell?"

A sudden flash of Spirit Light struck, causing Ji Jue to pause momentarily, shocked, "Wait, isn't this reasonable?"

"Isn't that what miracles are?

Sky Rail itself is closest to the Gate of Eternity, with distance so near to the Superior, that even mundane objects, under such long-term immersion, could transform into Heavenly Artisan, not to mention the Sky Rail itself?

They are miracles purified from time, born from the operation of trains as Fairies.

Unlike Living Spirits that exist reliant on Creation, the trains are merely their cradle; even leaving the trains, they remain independent lives."

The Dispatcher counted on his fingers, "The president was the first, then Beagle, Saint Bonner was third, fourth was Du Bin...

Looking back now, those days felt dreamlike and pleasant.

Sudden death from overtime every day, having such a small companion made it suddenly not lonely.

For a while, everyone was voting daily, guessing which little guy would be the next to come alive. When all the furry kids were together, they even held a welcome ceremony and entrance party for them!"

"And then?"

"Then... Shadow Sun Seal."

The Dispatcher shrugged slightly, "Actually, we left ample reserve, the Sky Rail's duties were fulfilled, they could have gained freedom, yet they chose to continue the unfinished work of others, extending everyone's wishes.

Even though each is so small, inherently playful, they're obsessively terrifying, bearing burdens not their own, for people and worlds they've never seen, willingly staying a lifetime trapped in the station."

He paused for a moment, solemnly reminded, "So, don't bully them, Ji Jue, because if they're hurt by such trusting humans, they'll surely be very sad."

"..."

Ji Jue silently ate his bread without speaking.

He gazed at their coming and going.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up.

"Hey, I have a..."

"I suggest not having one."

The Dispatcher interrupted the upcoming suggestion, "It's irreparable, Ji Jue, it will only waste time."

"Why?"

Ji Jue tilted his mouth, a sly smile — even if you don't understand the title of Master of Glory, you surely know the value of repairing the Doomsday Special Train from scratch and maxing out every part, right!

Is there any train on this earth I can't fix?!

"Of course there is."

Even before Ji Jue could speak, the Dispatcher cut in, "In fact, I should say, the priority isn't the train.

You've been driving it for years, Ji Jue, isn't it strange why your Doomsday Special Train's transmission priority is so high?

Why can your train ignore all interference, freely coming and going in the present, and why can it enter the disguised station so effortlessly?

Is there no Heavenly Artisan beyond the Gate of Eternity?"

The Dispatcher asked, "Why can't they do it?"

Ji Jue's speech suddenly stalled.

"Isn't it due to the All-Phase Engine?"

"The All-Phase Engine is strong, but not unprecedented. After four hundred years, current Ember isn't stuck in the past, right?"

The Dispatcher asked, "If I give you the same material, can you make it?"

Ji Jue was at a loss for words.

Gate of Eternity isn't his specialty, honestly, he truly isn't confident.

"What's most important isn't the train, not even the All-Phase Engine, but the qualifications the All-Phase Engine holds and the permissions granted!"

The Dispatcher raised a finger, "As the Superior Device merged into Superior, the Sky Rail itself possesses the highest sequence in spatial control.

After the end of Shadow Sun Seal, only the Sky Rail remains with this sequence level. I'd say, the method you're currently using is still at the most basic level. If you unlock all permissions and run at Overload, you could even interfere with time...
