Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny
Chapter 1915 - 985: Shadows of the Past_3
The hand that just extracted the 'heart' of the White Deer.
It was as if seeing a flower bloom.
But even if Ji Jue really performed magic right in front of him and conjured a flower, at most he'd clap and say a few words of praise about how he's quite diligent with these useless things, questioning if his workload isn't too saturated.
But this is different.
What just emerged from Ji Jue's hand was completely different from everything seen before.
An application of the Circle Realm that made the Mohists famous or infamous throughout history.
—[Fashan]!
There was a moment when the Dispatcher hesitated to speak.
If Ji Jue's previous mastery and adept use of [Moshou] were enough to earn a compliment for being exceptional material, then what he saw now made him start to doubt his own eyes.
He replayed this timeline several times over before he could finally be sure, or convince himself.
Breaking barriers, directly applying the Circle Realm of Non-Attack to the opponent's body, soul, Matrix, even blessing, freely adding, reducing, removing, like taking from a bag...
Damn, it's truly [Fashan]!
And it's not just some accidental overperformance, but a basically mastered and stable operation!
Even among the top Mohists, at this stage, aren't they usually still dabbling in the entry level of [Moshou]?
Even Mercury back then, being able to touch upon the application of Violence Control within thirteen days from the basics of [Moshou], was already an unprecedented case in the records!
Really?
This [Anchor] I sent to you isn't even a full twenty-four hours, how did your skill jump an entire major version straight into the next stage range?
"How did you do it?"
"Huh? What?"
Ji Jue turned back perplexed, appreciating his confused expression, as if he understood something, his expression grew more playful, and suddenly, he grinned widely.
While the Dispatcher, already rolling his eyes, saw his answer.
"You guess?"
Actually, Ji Jue wanted to be even more arrogant.
Oh, it's just a big deal, isn't it simple? Just need hands! Really hard to explain to you outsiders...
But he feared that after explaining, it might really make this old thing ecstatic.
Might as well mess with him a little.
And the real answer was already clear.
[Anchor].
The presence of the Anchor led to a near-transcendental transformation for the Circle Realm application of Non-Attack!
When he applied the Anchor on the Circle Realm, with the coordinates fixed, the possibilities observed and perceived increased by tenfold, even a hundredfold compared to earlier!
As if standing higher, naturally sees farther, even control and grasp of possibilities surged. Previously finding probabilities like needles in a haystack, difficulty controlling like grabbing hot iron wires, now the operation flowed seamlessly without hindrance.
And the spiritual energy consumption dropped to a tear-inducing level, no longer difficult and bewildering as before.
Ji Jue was so happy he grinned, yet so furious he jumped up!
He kept saying, why his [Moshou] consumed mana so ridiculously, with such low controllability, and felt so difficult to use? The principles were clear and simple, the operation always distorted, and using it felt outright uncomfortable.
Turns out he was fighting ranked matches with a refrigerator motherboard, under 100MS latency and 30 FPS frame rate, and didn't even have a damn mouse!
Heavenly Furnace Old Dog, you beast!
Is this really something a transcend newbie should learn!
It's no different than tricking a kid to pull a big cart, urging a tadpole to find a frog, stuffing 'Real Variable Functions' and 'Point Set Topology' into a youngster's head!
Really inhumane!
Thinking of his past blood, sweat, and tears in research, Ji Jue was so mad his eyes were red.
Don't ever let me get a hold of you!
Once I reach Heavenly People, no, once I reach Saint... hmm, once I attain Late Saint Peak Great Perfection, it will be your sacrificial day, old dog!
"..."
On the other end, the Dispatcher, originally with a complex expression, fell silent.
Observing Ji Jue's grin mixed with hatred, as if suddenly realizing something, his teeth gritting, his expression grew more subtly significant.
This fine tradition has been around for hundreds of years... this generation scams the next, why won't it change?
After a trial on the Shadow of the White Deer, Ji Jue subsequently tested on other remnants and found that the success rate of [Fashan] had stabilized entirely, his confidence soared.
Holding his little red bucket, he laughed out loud to the sky.
"I see these petty drifters are nothing much!"
"Really?"
The Dispatcher's tone was teasing: "I suggest you better be careful."
"No worries! Anyway, no Heavenly People in the Border Prison Zone."
Ji Jue lifted his head, a grin formed at the corner of his mouth: "No Heavenly People, I am invincible..."
Boom!!!
Amid Beagle's shrill scream, an expansive and grandiose space suddenly unfolded at the end of the corridor.
And in that temple-like space, at the center, was an enormous dark tree, large enough to need four or five people to encircle, with numerous roots slithering out of the ground, entwining and rooting into one cocooned heap of muddy dead fetuses after another.
Branches twisted sharply, like iron, angularly menacing.
As if detecting Ji Jue's arrival.
The giant tree suddenly trembled violently, dry bark rubbed like flesh, opened, revealing crimson eyes, turning towards Ji Jue, instantly locking onto him.
Then immediately, crimson fierce flames emerged from the branches, blooming like red flowers, rising, in an instant, the previously dry giant tree turned lushly green, stench crimson.
A howling-like storm rose, countless strands of blood dropped from the branches, fell to the ground, spread, surging waves, amidst the blood pool, outstretched numerous skinless hands, like devil's claws.
Next, naked figures with exposed muscle structures crawled out from the blood pool.
The entire figure burning with blood fire, the Legion of dead skeletons awakened once more at the giant tree's summons.
Nineteen years ago, under the attack of warlords, the last remaining elite under Stone Country's solitary lord fell, a total of sixty-seven knights forming the Face Stripping Legion, completely annihilated.
The solitary lord was beheaded, corpse exposed, three years imperishable, finally chopped up and scattered into the battlefield stained by the Face Stripping Army, trampled by thousands, utterly obliterated to Dust.
And nine years later, from this remains, the insanity of sixty-seven Mutated Legions and countless resentments birthed, a monster still entrenched amid Stone Country Wilderness, allowed various forces to repeatedly annihilate and still reborn, pursuing war, devouring corpses, growing and expanding, finally two years ago formally classified as [Destruction] level Disaster Beast...
[Root of Death]!
In that moment, sixty-seven Face Stripping Knights all raised their eyes simultaneously, cast a hungry gaze towards Ji Jue, resentment surged skyward!
"You..."
Ji Jue laughed out of anger.
