Chapter 2791: Chapter 2791: Second Deception

The wind and snow seemed to have stopped at this moment.

The previous blizzard had dissipated into nothingness.

The Boulevard Mountains returned to their usual tranquility.

Julius Reed stood alone in the snow, lost in thought.

After a few minutes, he bent down and drew a symbol in the snow.

And then, the symbol began to move.

A white light radiated from beneath his feet, enveloping Julius Reed entirely.

Next, a black light began to emanate from Julius Reed’s fingertips.

The two lights intertwined continuously, like a Taiji symbol.

Boom!

With a muffled sound, a vast area of surrounding snow exploded upwards.

Julius Reed disappeared.

It was as if Julius Reed had never existed in this part of the Boulevard Mountains.

However.

Julius Reed now found himself in an exceedingly empty environment.

Among the deceased experts in imperial realms, some were particularly skilled in telekinesis.

They had imparted all their lifelong knowledge to Julius Reed.

Within this knowledge lay methods to access the Netherworld.

Of course, these methods weren’t direct pathways to the Netherworld.

But they enabled the brief separation of one’s telekinesis from the body.

Julius Reed happened to possess a formation leading to the Netherworld.

Through this formation, it was like opening a door directly on Seven Gem Slope.

Julius Reed once again sank directly from his dream, clutching the pillow.

At lightning speed, he vanished from the Boulevard Mountains.

His body was already buried a hundred meters underground.

His soul arrived in the Netherworld.

"A newcomer?"

A voice reached him, and Julius Reed realized he was now in the Netherworld.

He nodded: "What’s wrong?"

"Newcomers need registration, I’m taking you there now."

The person spoke and directed his subordinates to surround Julius Reed.

Afraid he’d escape.

"Where’s the wind?"

Julius Reed remembered; it was the wind that led him here the last time.

"Wind? You mean the one who offended Hades and was sent below to lay bricks?"

A supervisor sneered: "That person, right? Since there’s only one who has such a reputation."

"Is it far from us?"

Julius Reed knew that to find Hades, he had to find Wind.

So where was Wind now?

When he came, he followed the previous route, hoping to return to Wind’s domain.

But it seemed that Wind had angered Hades because of him.

His life was spared, but the outlook was grim.

"Coincidentally, you’ll see him when we pass by later."

The supervisor locked Julius Reed with chains and urged: "Hurry up, you’re new here, how do you know Wind?"

He didn’t take it seriously.

Probably just a coincidence in name.

But Wind’s situation was quite serious lately, hence some idle chatter.

"Oh, it only takes a moment for someone in power to end up at a construction site."

"Who says it isn’t so? They say that Wind brought an assassin to kill Hades!"

"It’s all rumors. If it were really an assassin, Wind wouldn’t even have the chance to lay bricks. It shows he made mistakes but not fatal ones; laying bricks is just minor punishment."

As they spoke, they passed by a bridge.

Beneath the bridge, a group of people was working on construction.

Julius Reed had seen this scene before.

When he first came, someone told him that the telekinesis inside required lifelong toil.

Like walking corpses.

Wind stood out.

Though set to lay bricks, he was actually in a managerial role.

In the manager’s position, he didn’t need to get his hands dirty, merely direct the work.

"Stop looking, let’s go." Seeing Julius Reed’s fascination, the guard impatiently urged: "Hurry up, we’re on the clock."

"I forgot to mention." Julius Reed extended his hand and broke the chains.

The surrounding guards’ faces changed.

"I forgot to mention." Julius Reed spoke arrogantly: "Hades sent me, you now must follow my arrangements."

"Why should we? How can we believe you?" The manager responsible for the guards spoke telepathically: "I don’t believe it."

"Have you seen such powerful telekinesis except delegated by Hades himself? To be honest, I’m on a secret mission, taking Wind away. If any of you disclose this, you’ll all end up as laborers!" Julius Reed didn’t threaten them with death but with a harsher consequence.

Laboring is worse than death.

Not allowed to commit suicide.

"You could directly ask Hades, but I’m telling you this is top secret. If it weren’t for fearing you won’t listen and leak secrets, I wouldn’t be telling you."

"Remember, directly ask Hades, even your superiors don’t know."

Julius Reed finished speaking, and without paying any mind to them, jumped down, repeating his words to surrounding guards, and left gracefully with Wind.

Wind was commanding construction when witnessing this scene, he was dumbfounded.

He couldn’t understand who this person was and why he was taking him away.

"Quiet, I’m an old acquaintance, once we’re out of here, I’ll explain."

Julius Reed finished and vanished with Wind’s telekinesis.

"What happened?"

The manager below approached, curious.

"Top secret."

The guards uttered two words and left.

They couldn’t reach Hades, lacking the privilege.

But once they asked their superiors, it would be considered a leak.

None dared gamble with this risk.

Julius Reed grasped their psyche and dared to take Wind away in broad daylight.

"Who are you really? Wind grew increasingly uneasy.

If it were Hades’ orders, why be so clandestine?

"I’m sent by Hades; actually, the incident last time had nothing to do with you, Hades knows very well."

Julius Reed could alter his telekinesis, making others perceive him as entirely different from before.

Very few could achieve such a feat; hence Wind didn’t doubt him.

"Hades demoted you here for a significant task. Make outsiders believe that you hate Hades, that you’re quite dissatisfied with him!"

Julius Reed shared with him.

"How could it be! I’m exceedingly grateful to Hades! I’m very thankful he didn’t kill me."

Wind sighed, such hypocritical words required courage.

After all, they had to be kept from outsiders.

"The Netherworld isn’t peaceful recently; there’s always talk of rebellion. So Hades asked me to discreetly bring you back, to personally brief you on your task."

Julius Reed said cautiously: "Hades chose you because you’re smart, clever, reliable for this purpose!"

"I’m incredibly grateful for Hades’ trust!" Wind was thrilled.

He thought he’d be stuck in a rut for life.

Unexpectedly, it was Hades’ strategy.

"Let’s avoid others, and find Hades. I’m not familiar with the way, can you discreetly navigate?" Julius Reed saw Wind’s delight and quickly inquired.
