Bear-san Going Home

We left the mansion and walked through the town.

“I wonder if Lize-san will be okay?” (Yuna)

“You saw her face. Being prepared is better than not being prepared. Even if difficulties await, as long as she has her family, she’ll be fine. She’s not alone.” (Kagali)

She certainly was not alone. She had kind parents and an older sister that looked younger than her.

Some people practice swordsmanship and become swordsmen or adventurers.

Some people study and become merchants.

Even among the children in the orphanage, there were children who wanted to become bakers.

“Of course, I don’t think that everyone can be happy even if they put in the effort. However, that opportunity will not come to those who do nothing.” (Kagali)

Happiness would not come if you wait without doing anything.

Only those who moved forward and worked hard would have the chance to grab it.

“So, whether you become unhappy about the situation or not is all up to you.” (Kagali)

Kagali-san was really an adult, despite her appearance.

While we were watching the crowd, more and more people gathered.

“We can’t retrieve it like this.” (Yuna)

If we retrieve it suddenly, we would be questioned.

“Shouldn’t we report this to the lord?” (Stranger 1)

The matter was getting bigger and bigger.

Kagali-san, riding Swaying Bear, asked.

Yesterday, I was thinking of placing a Bear Transfer Gate a little further away from the town, in a place where Lize-san and the others couldn’t get close.

But now, Lize-san and the others were not the only ones that I would be dealing with.

I needed to place the Bear Transfer Gate in an area that wouldn’t be noticed by any of the townsfolk.

I told Kagali-san what I was thinking.

“You’re right. A place that won’t be noticed by six people and a place that won’t be noticed by all the townsfolk is a different story.” (Kagali)

Kagali-san thought for a moment.

“That place might be good.”

Kagali-san said that on the way from Targui to this place, we saw a small island.

“No one could get near that small island unless they had a boat. And even if they had a boat, no one would go there without a reason.” (Kagali)

Indeed.

The fishermen around here only catch seafood, and they never land on the island.

Even large ships only travelled between towns and never went to a small island.

In the first place, if there was nothing on the island, no one would land on it.

I would usually leave it be because I find it too much of a hassle to deal with, but Fina and Shuri would usually clean it up for me.

When I tried using magic to remove the weeds before, they got angry at me and told me that, “You have to remove weeds by the roots, or they will grow back quickly.”

But removing weeds by the roots was too much trouble, so this time I laid down cobblestones.

This way, weeds shouldn’t grow either.

I decided to set up the Bear Transfer Gate in the center of the island.

In this position, the Bear Transfer Gate couldn’t be seen from the outside.

I opened the door of the Bear Transfer Gate.
