Chapter 752: Chapter 347: The Riddler Aliya (Part 2)

Her gaze became incredibly complex—shocked, grateful, curious, appreciative, and even a hint of...

Lin Yu’an stood up and greeted the live stream fans, saying he needed to wait for the police to handle this incident before abruptly ending the stream.

Leaving behind a sea of question marks from the fans and viewers!

[No way, dude, we can wait for the police together with you!] ℴ

[That was way too fast! Luckily, I recorded the video. PM me if you need slicing materials!]

After Lin Yu’an ended the stream, the atmosphere on the ship fell into a peculiar calm.

Mai Ke lowered the mainsail, and the ship anchored in place, gently swaying with the waves, waiting for the Coast Guard to arrive.

About twenty minutes later, a white Coast Guard speedboat with distinctive orange-yellow stripes appeared on the horizon at high speed, soon arriving next to them.

Two officers in uniform boarded their boat, and the leading officer clearly knew Mai Ke, first shaking hands with him before immediately starting professional on-site evidence collection and questioning.

They carefully inspected the broken pin, took photos, and recorded statements from the three of them.

Riven was responsible for transmitting the original data of the live stream video directly to the official email they provided.

"Mai Ke, Riven," the lead officer’s face turned extremely grim after watching the video clip, "this is no longer reckless driving—this is blatant malicious attack!"

"The video is very clear. We have identified the brand and model of the boat, even the T-shirt pattern of the guy onboard."

"We will immediately conduct a search at all coastal docks. Trust me, we’ll find these bastards!"

"Thanks, Tom," Mai Ke said solemnly.

With the Coast Guard escorting them, the Wanderer slowly returned to the academy dock using its engine.

When they safely docked, the sky had completely darkened.

After seeing off the Coast Guard, a day’s course ended in a way none of them had expected.

"Today...I’m really sorry, Lin," Captain Mike’s face was full of apology, "to have you encounter such a bastard thing on your first day."

"This has nothing to do with you, Captain," Lin Yu’an answered calmly, "on the contrary, I think it’s the most valuable lesson."

"It made me realize that the greatest danger on the ocean is sometimes not the storm, but humans."

These words left Mai Ke and Riven in silent contemplation.

After bidding farewell to Mai Ke and his daughter with complex expressions, Lin Yu’an politely declined their invitation to dinner and returned to the hotel alone.

He took off the salty shirt, revealing a well-defined upper body, and walked into the bathroom to wash away the day’s fatigue with hot water.

Just as he stepped out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, the phone on the bedside suddenly vibrated, showing a familiar video call request—from Aliya.

Lin Yu’an’s eyes immediately softened, and he answered the video.

On the screen appeared Aliya’s beautiful, anxious face immediately filled with concern.

She had clearly just finished showering as well, her golden hair wet and draped over her shoulders, wearing a black silk robe.

"Darling!" She visibly relaxed upon seeing Lin Yu’an answering the video call, "Are you okay? We watched the live stream...didn’t dare call you at the time, afraid of disturbing you."

Her voice carried a touch of tremor from fear, as they had almost witnessed the thrilling events in real-time from their apartment in Alaska.

"I’m fine, darling, don’t worry," Lin Yu’an smiled at the camera reassuringly and raised his uninjured left hand, "Look, perfectly fine."

"What about your other hand?" Aliya was clearly not so easily fooled.

Lin Yu’an, feeling helpless, raised his right hand, bandaged in gauze: "Just a minor surface injury, it’s been treated, didn’t hurt the bone."

"Alright, but you need to be careful..." Aliya’s brows remained furrowed.

At this moment, the camera shook, and Emily’s gentle face appeared, her blue eyes filled with concern:

"You really scared us, An. Promise me you’ll avoid such dangerous moves in the future."

"I promise it was just an accident." Looking at the most important women in his life on the screen filled Lin Yu’an with warmth.

"Accident? I feel like a certain hero might be enjoying it." A slightly mischievous and sarcastic voice chimed in from the side.

The camera turned again, and Max’s strikingly beautiful face appeared at the center of the screen.

She was wearing a simple sports vest, arms crossed, eyebrows raised, with a slightly mocking smile, perfectly copying the expression Lin Yu’an had when faced with Riven’s challenge earlier.

"Let me see, which hand is hurt?" she asked knowingly.

Lin Yu’an raised his right hand.

Max immediately mimicked a concerned and slightly exaggerated tone and, just like Riven earlier, asked Lin Yu’an through the screen:

"Oh dear, does it hurt? Is the bone okay? Let me see, can you bend it?"

She vividly imitated, even extending her fingers as if checking Lin Yu’an’s hand directly.

This performance instantly made Aliya and Emily giggle beside her.
