Chapter 708: Chapter 335: Mysterious Buyer!

"Let’s move out!"

After receiving authorization from the command center, Yang Zhen wasted no time, executing a concise hand gesture to issue the pursuit order.

The team originally scattered along the riverbank for reconnaissance instantly morphed into an efficient and precise fighting machine, seven figures darting forward like arrows released from a bowstring, in the direction Lin Yu’an had indicated.

Lin Yu’an once again took the lead as the team’s arrowhead, no longer needing to stoop down to scrutinize the minute details and traces.

The poachers’ preparations for leaving the mountains had made their traces clearer and bolder than ever before.

Every sign pointed to one fact: the enemy was speeding towards the Lao Ya Gold Mine’s rendezvous point!

Around ten o’clock in the morning, after nearly two hours of high-intensity pursuit.

Leading at the front, Lin Yu’an suddenly signaled for a halt, and the entire team instantly froze in place.

"What’s wrong, Teacher Lin?" Yang Zhen asked in a hushed tone, quickly catching up to him.

Lin Yu’an didn’t speak; he simply pointed to a patch of ground ahead. It looked no different from elsewhere, yet his instincts detected an ominous atmosphere.

He picked up a dry twig, cautiously sweeping aside a thin layer of fallen leaves on the ground.

A beast trap glinting with cold metal emerged in front of everyone, the massive serrated jaws already pried open, cleverly buried on a narrow passage they must traverse.

Yang Zhen’s expression grew more solemn; the enemy became more cautious as they neared their destination.

"Everyone, stay alert and vigilant! The enemy is not far ahead!" Yang Zhen issued a warning to the team through the throat microphone.

The road ahead grew more perilous. Lin Yu’an slowed down, heightening his senses to maximum levels.

Finally, at noon, when the team crossed the last mountain ridge, Lin Yu’an slowly lowered himself down, concealing his whole body behind dense vegetation.

"We’re here," he mouthed silently.

Following his gaze, a vast, scar-like abandoned mine area appeared before everyone’s eyes.

At this moment, the sun ascended to its zenith, like molten gold spilling over the vast green canopy of Ailao Mountain.

On a ridge approximately a kilometer’s straight-line distance from Lao Ya Gold Mine.

The team members lay behind a rock, their outlines perfectly melding with the surrounding environment.

Lin Yu’an used binoculars, scrutinizing the lifeless abandoned mine area below like a hawk.

Beside him, the young warrior Xiaoli represented an entirely different world.

He lay under an unfolded camouflage net, his fingers deftly operating the military-grade reinforced tablet screen.

A small drone hovered silently above the mine area.

"Captain Yang, Hawkeye is in position, the mine area’s perimeter is secure, no signs of activity detected." Xiaoli’s voice transmitted low and clear into the communication channel through the throat microphone.

"Acknowledged," Yang Zhen’s steady mountain-like response came over the channel, "We’re beginning infiltration, maintain silence, stay on guard."

Yang Zhen’s voice seemed right beside them, yet he and the other five Blade Group warriors were moving ghost-like into the mine area’s interior.

Their mission was to infiltrate the pre-set ambush point undetected and lay a trap awaiting the prey to walk into the net.

Lin Yu’an adjusted his position, placing more weight on the solid rock.

His role was to serve as the team’s second pair of eyes, observing the entire battlefield environment from a macro, natural perspective.

Wind direction, bird calls, even the slightest unusual movements in the distant forest could become crucial information determining success or failure.

Time ticked away, every second like water drops on scorching rocks, instantly evaporating, leaving a searing mark.

"Teacher Lin, look." Xiaoli suddenly turned the tablet to Lin Yu’an, lowering his voice, "Discovery."

On the screen, from several dilapidated red-brick workers’ houses in the mine area center, faint wisps of blue-gray smoke rose from one chimney.

"They’re lighting a fire," Lin Yu’an remarked emotionlessly.

"In this weather, at this time, it’s either for cooking or drying something. Seems their contact hasn’t arrived, they’re relaxed."

"I’ll immediately send the coordinates and thermal imaging map to Captain Yang." Xiaoli’s fingers swiftly operated the screen.

"Captain Yang, Hawkeye reports. Target location confirmed, coordinates XXX, XXX. Inside a single-story red-brick house, four men and three dogs."

"Repeat, four men, three dogs, be sure to avoid the dogs’ sensing range during stealth." Xiaoli professionally reported.

"Blade acknowledges, we’re close to the pre-set ambush point, great visibility here, allowing us a full view of the red-brick house and the only dirt road into the mountains. We’ll handle it."

Yang Zhen’s reply remained concise and powerful, instilling trust.

Communication returned to silence, leaving only wind and cicada sounds at the vantage point.

Lin Yu’an closed his eyes, as if feeling the pulse of this mountain forest through his skin, knowing all he could do now was wait.

Waiting was long and torturous; a few hours felt like a century to the lurking warriors.

Sweat had long soaked their training uniforms, sticking closely to their skin, mosquitoes buzzed near their ears, yet no one moved.
