Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What?

Chapter 1702: Issue Planning

Chapter 1702: Issue Planning

"Wait, what?"

As far as Lythero was aware, the kaijin were usually attached to Zhen Liu like chains on a prisoner.

No matter where he went, those walking disasters were always close behind him or were the ones clearing a path of destruction for him.

So the fact that Zhen Liu was telling him that they weren’t going to have kaijin power to back them up when he was now ready to take Duke Diamoro’s head was...mildly worrying to say the least.

Especially since that mother fucker was now in the service of a psychotic god shard thing that was getting stronger by the day.

"Yeah, I was planning to tell everyone about this after you got your new sword. But the long and short of it is that recent developments from other parts of the world require my attention, or at least the appearance of my kaijin. If they don’t get involved, shit might go rather badly and I’d rather prevent myself from going on a murderous revenge rampage if I can help it at all," Zhen Liu seriously answered.

Lythero had yet to Zhen Liu actually angry before, but for some reason, that idea scared the everliving shit out of him.

Zhen Liu already fought like something out of a fairytale about an ancient monster, and that’s when he was faking aloofness or mocking. As such, he really didn’t want to see what he would be like when he decided mercy wasn’t an option.

Especially when the kaijin seemed very keen to fulfill those murderous desires.

Regardless, now that Lythero was made aware of Zhen Liu’s plans of flying solo, he decided to follow up that thought with an even more important question.

"Okay...where are you sending the kaijin off to exactly?"

"Well..."

We interrupt this Chapter to inform the reader that the following scene has been removed due to the following reason: repetition.

It was already explained a couple of Chapters ago how our protagonist was going to send off the kaijin, so having him repeat it to Lythero and then the rest of his group was deemed redundant by the [REDACTED].

But as a reminder to the reader, the groups are as follows for the following reasons:

The Ragnarockers: Nepherage, Frosttusk, Hurricroak -> Echoing Valley

Reason: Members of the Zhen Clan and the Neo Storm Knights had a run-in with the Storm Singer tribe and some psycho bitch with a deep desire for collecting tribal artifacts like they were a museum’s personal treasure hunter.

If the kaijin don’t intervene, and soon, Frosttusk’s descendants from when he was mortal will be wiped from the face of the planet...or worse.

...

Mysticlassic: Razorstella, Springerdermain, and Screamiea -> Bronze Bell Kingdom.

Reason: The brewing succession war has gone from cold to hot, and Zhen Liu’s cousin and fiancee are being roped in despite their deep desires to not be involved.

Unless the kaijin intervene, the war will continue in a manner that might lead to the death of people that Zhen Liu actually cared about. That or people his cousin and fiancee care about, which might be worse.

...

Judgememento (?): Blazejudicator and the Doll Twins -> Deeper into the Dozing Salamander continent.

Reason: There’s some alliance of evil shit happening between the Fallen and the Shadow Garden, at least, that’s what the Gallop Brothers reported before they somehow fell off the map. They weren’t dead, but they were in a weird stasis state.

If the others don’t investigate soon, there is a chance the Gallop Brothers might become experimental materials for "live" grafting. That and this hypothetical alliance of evil might become an actual threat to Zhen Liu and the others.

...

Aside from these three teams and events, though, there was the one that Zhen Liu promised to resolve with Lythero, especially since it also involved the presence of divinity.

Well, partial divinity.

...

The Kaijin Lord and friends: Zhen Liu, Lythero, Antonio (?), Olstenna, Jinju Ren (?), Zhen Xing (?) , Zhen Tai (?), and Rianna(?) -> After Duke Diamoro and Smoking Mirror.

Reason: ZHen Liu had promised Lythero revenge, and that revenge had been partially hijacked by the presence of a knock-off god and its own ambitions. In order to fight one, fighting the other is inevitable.

Leaving those motherfuckers unchecked is just inviting trouble, especially when there three other divine shards that haven’t even reported in at the library yet for several weeks now.

If Zhen Liu didn’t nip this problem in the bud...he didn’t want to think about those consequences.

...

We will now be returning to your regularly scheduled Chapter, specifically, the part where Zhen Liu has wrapped up explaining all of this to his friends, family, and fiancee and is now checking to see if they’re going to tag along with him or not.

Thank you.

"...and that’s about it. Any questions, comments or concerns?"

"..."

Zhen Liu’s friends and family had a lot of concerns and questions about these plans, namely that the kaijin were going to go do other things while Zhen Liu himself was about to go and fight a god shard with what was essentially one arm tied behind his back.

However, they also knew that underestimating or predicting Zhen Liu’s moves was a terrible idea. As such, they skipped to the most important portion about this entire thing.

"So...does that mean you don’t want us to tag along with whatever you and Lythero have planned or not?" Jinju Ren asked.

"That is entirely up to all of you; that’s just my plan," Zhen Liu answered his dragon-blooded lover. "If y’all have any training opportunities here, or elsewhere, let me know and I can try and drop you off someplace that is close to where you have in mind."

As soon as Zhen Liu shared these words, Zhen Xing and Zhen Tai stood up alongside Rianna.

"You don’t need to worry about dropping the three of us off; we’re going to be sticking around Emberona for a bit to train under the First Hearthtender," Zhen Xing answered.

"We noticed that whatever you did to the [Sacred Flame] made it more compatible with us," Zhen Tai elaborated without being prompted. "So, Lady Serena suggested we stick around so we can acclimate and learn how to use its power to the fullest."

"What he said," Rianna added.

"I see..."

Zhen Liu was mildly expecting this, but he wasn’t expecting all three of them to have the same destination in mind. Then again, Zhen Liu did remember that there was a possibility that Rianna was the Hearth Tender’s lost sister, so it made sense...sort of.

Regardless, since his cousins and Rianna were going to stick around Emberona, he still needed to figure out the remaining two...technically three.

Zhen Liu knew that Olstenna would probably tag along because he was a battle-hungry motherfucker, and the prospect of fighting divine power excited him to an unhealthy degree.

An understanding that proved correct when Olstenna wrapped an arm around Antonio and asked him a question that Zhen Liu was going to ask.

"So what about you, pussycat? Now that you can manifest a [Regalia], are you going to stick around here and train? Or does the prospect of fighting a fallen god sound more amusing?!"

"I am not too keen on fighting a god, fallen or otherwise," Antonio admitted. "But...I do have a request, Master Zhen Liu."

"Oh?"

"Can I go along with Judgememento on their hunt for the Gallop Brothers?"

"Really?" Zhen Liu asked in a quizzical tone. "Why?"

Zhen Liu understood that having a proper native to the continent tagging along would probably do wonders for Blazejudicator and the others to able to poke around cities without getting into too much trouble. However, before he could allow such assistance, he needed a good reason.

And Antonio gave a great one.

"Well...back when we were in the Rainbowden, you mentioned something about not wanting to deal with any more, and I am paraphrasing here, Prince Alain and his grafted warrior bullshit? I asked the curators about them, and they gave me the whole rundown about how they...get their powers. I want to see if...you know..."

"Ah...that’s a good reason," Zhen Liu nodded. "Very well, you’ll go along with Judgememento."

"Thank you!" Antonio said with a bow.

This left Jinju Ren as the only other mortal follower of Zhen Liu with a questionable joining parameter.

She was still a princess, and there was a very good chance that her appearance would cause an international riot.

However, that little factoid actually encouraged Jinju Ren to give the answer that she gave.

"Acutally, darling...could you also allow me to accompany one of the other kaijin groups? More specifically, can I tag along with Mysticlassic? I never got a chance to properly spend time with Bellona, and I would very much like to get to know her better."

"That’s... surprising, but sure," Zhen Liu nodded. "I figured you would want to see how the fight with the god shard would go."

"Darling, you make it sound like I can’t just be there when it happens via my own methods."

"Fair enough..."
