Chapter 59: Chapter 38: Daoist Magical Treasure, White Rainbow Sword

Early in the morning, Li Yinsheng walked out of his bedroom.

He didn’t believe in the suppressive approach to education. Therefore, even though the new Cultivation Aspiration issued by the Grotto Heaven last night gave him a massive headache, he didn’t say any toxic remarks to the excited Mu Xiaoyu, such as, "Don’t get carried away," "You need to work even harder," or "Why don’t you compare yourself to the geniuses of other Daoist Temples?" Instead, he praised her thoroughly and promised to take her to Baoguang Temple in three days to buy new snacks as a reward for her recent diligence in cultivation.

Of course, praise was one thing, but that night’s Washing Marrow and Cleansing Veins had to continue as usual. So, this morning, his junior sister happily earned herself another half an hour to sleep in. Moreover, Li Yinsheng gave her this half an hour off because he actually had things to do during this time.

Although he had absolutely no clue how to quickly master the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword... he still had his knowledgeable Martial Uncle! Surely, his Martial Uncle would have a way, right?

Harboring fervent trust in the elder Daoist of the temple, Li Yinsheng knocked on his Martial Uncle’s door once again. After his Martial Uncle responded, Li Yinsheng pushed the door open and went in.

He wasn’t in a rush to ask about the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword. Calculating the days, it was time to nourish his Martial Uncle’s body once again.

Sitting by the bed, Li Yinsheng pretended he didn’t notice the "Daoist Scripture" his Martial Uncle had hidden under the blanket. He circulated the Magical Power of the Qingxuan Scripture to nourish her body.

Unfortunately, his Martial Uncle’s current body could endure very little Magical Power. Therefore, even though his Cultivation was now worlds apart from before, the amount of Magical Power he could send into her body during the nourishment was virtually the same as in the past. Even a fraction more would be too much for her to handle, resulting in the exact opposite of what he intended.

In fact, because the quality of his Magical Power was far superior to what it used to be, Li Yinsheng even had to deliberately dilute it. Otherwise, a Magical Power of such high quality would be unbearable for his Martial Uncle.

A moment later, Li Yinsheng withdrew his Magical Power. The color in Junior Martial Uncle Jiang’s face improved a little.

"Thanks for your hard work, Yin Sheng," Junior Martial Uncle Jiang smiled softly at Li Yinsheng. "Have you looked at the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword I told you about?"

Li Yinsheng hadn’t expected his Martial Uncle to bring this up before he even had the chance to speak.

"I already taught the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword to my junior sister yesterday, and she cultivated her first Sword Light," Li Yinsheng said.

"I’m not asking about your junior sister," Junior Martial Uncle Jiang gently shook her head. "I’m asking you. Have you learned the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword? How is your progress? Is there anything you don’t understand?"

Li Yinsheng nodded. "I also cultivated it yesterday, and so far, there isn’t anything confusing or difficult to understand."

"Nothing at all? That’s good..."

Junior Martial Uncle Jiang felt somewhat gratified, yet inevitably, a trace of disappointment rippled beneath it. Since there was nothing he didn’t understand, her martial nephew wouldn’t be able to stay and listen to her detailed explanation of this Sword Technique. However, this was within her expectations. After all, the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword truly wasn’t some profoundly obscure Magic. Regardless, the most important thing was that her martial nephew was progressing smoothly. Given his innate talent, focusing on his cultivation was paramount. She shouldn’t have taken up too much of his time in the first place.

Just as Junior Martial Uncle Jiang was finding solace in this thought, Li Yinsheng spoke up.

"However, Martial Uncle, although this Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword isn’t hard to learn, cultivating it to a profound level takes a lot of time. Do you have any method that can make practicing this Sword Technique a bit faster?"

She didn’t find it surprising that Li Yinsheng would ask this question. What Cultivator wouldn’t wish to be faster when cultivating or practicing Magic? However, the idea of quickly mastering Magic genuinely stumped her.

"Magic is different from Cultivation, which can be improved by consuming Heavenly and Earthly Treasures or Miracle Elixirs.

"Whether it’s a Sword Technique or other Magic, mastering it requires nothing more than diligent and bitter practice, the guidance of a renowned master, and frequent combat experience against others. There aren’t many opportunistic shortcuts for quick success..."

Li Yinsheng caught the main point. "You said there aren’t *many* shortcuts? That means there must still be some, right?"

Junior Martial Uncle Jiang nodded. "There are, but they’re all too difficult. For instance... have you heard of Cangfeng Temple?"

Li Yinsheng reminisced for a moment and nodded.

Cangfeng Temple was the only Daoist Temple under the Zhengyang Dharma Vein that primarily consisted of Sword Cultivators. Although other Daoist Temples also had Sword Cultivators, they were in the minority. Because the path of a Sword Cultivator was not easy, the number of disciples in Cangfeng Temple ranked near the bottom among the various Daoist Temples. But in terms of overall strength, Cangfeng Temple firmly secured a spot in the top five.

However, they were sword practitioners, not swordsmiths. They were only skilled in fighting and didn’t possess any means of making a living. They didn’t sell anything at Baoguang Temple either, so disciples from other Daoist Temples rarely had the chance to interact with Cangfeng Temple. Therefore, relative to their strength, they weren’t considered famous. The main reason Li Yinsheng knew about Cangfeng Temple was that he, too, had once dreamed of becoming a Sword Immortal. Naturally, he paid some attention to the largest Sword Cultivator Daoist Temple within their Dharma Vein.

"Beside Cangfeng Temple, there is a small hill called Washing Sword Mountain. A Sword Immortal once cultivated in seclusion on that mountain. Over the years, his Sword Intent altered Washing Sword Mountain’s Spirit Vein.

"The Spirit Vein of Washing Sword Mountain doesn’t produce ordinary Spirit Charm. Usually, it looks no different from a barren hill without a Spirit Vein.

"But every nine years, for a period of three months, it exudes a special Spirit Charm that makes anyone cultivating a Sword Technique or Magic feel as if they’re receiving divine assistance, allowing their progress to soar.

"This kind of Spirit Charm was named ’Shifeng Spirit Charm’ by Cangfeng Temple, and it is something that no Spirit Refining Array can produce."

Junior Martial Uncle Jiang paused, then added, "Of course, this Shifeng Spirit Charm isn’t omnipotent. The more exquisite your mastery of the Sword Technique, the less help the Shifeng Spirit Charm provides."
