Junior Sister, I Really Have to Control You
Chapter 41 - 29: A Greater Harvest, Daoist Huang He
Chapter 41: Chapter 29: A Greater Harvest, Daoist Huang He
At the entrance of the Xuanzhen Temple’s main hall.
The two disciples stared, dumbfounded, as their master bowed deeply toward the hall and respectfully offered up their two Qiankun Bags with both hands.
Li Yinsheng strolled out of the hall at a leisurely pace. The Daoist Robe he wore had transformed into a black design embroidered with silver threads.
Yang’s pupils constricted. No wonder his master was only wearing his inner garments. Even his Magical Robe had been taken from him.
Li Yinsheng raised a hand, taking the Qiankun Bags from the cultivator surnamed Huang, and casually hung them at his waist.
"Senior, counting my own Qiankun Bag already in your possession, the entire life savings of the three of us are all here," the cultivator surnamed Huang said. Despite his bruised and swollen face, his expression was completely respectful.
"There is also this Magical Robe, custom-made at the Zulu Temple. The silver threads on it are all Lifebound Silk, spun by a Centennial Silver Silk Worm during its cocooning phase, and it took three years of refinement to complete. Once activated, silver light protects the body. Except for a weakness to fire, it can blunt the force of even an Upper Grade Magical Artifact by thirty percent."
"Mhm." Li Yinsheng nodded, tugging at the Daoist Robe he was wearing. "Your Magical Robe is not bad. It’s just a bit small."
The Daoist Robe fit the tall and thin cultivator surnamed Huang perfectly, but Li Yinsheng was half a head taller and much sturdier. On him, it was a bit ill-fitting.
"Senior, this robe has its own technique to automatically adjust its size to fit the wearer’s body," the cultivator surnamed Huang said immediately. As he spoke, he demonstrated a few techniques. Li Yinsheng only watched them once. Without even seeming to cast a spell, the Magical Robe on his body automatically transformed, lengthening by half a foot and broadening significantly at the shoulders.
"Good, it fits perfectly now," Li Yinsheng nodded in satisfaction. "Truly worthy of being a Magical Robe."
The two disciples of the Yellow Crane Temple exchanged a glance, both seeing the sheer disbelief in the other’s eyes. Although their master was only Vice Temple Master, that was mostly because his ambitions did not lie in managing a Daoist Temple; he much preferred immersing himself in cultivation. In terms of actual cultivation, their master was even slightly superior to the Temple Master. He was the indisputable number one person beneath the Daoist in the Yellow Crane Temple. How could he have been defeated by this person?! And defeated so swiftly, so silently!
While the two senior and junior brothers were questioning their very existence, Mu Xiaoyu, who was a short distance away, stopped her practice. Her eyes sparkled as she watched that bad old man looking so utterly wretched in front of her senior brother. Her senior brother was so amazing! He had beaten that man into submission just like that!
"It’s just a pity that while Vice Temple Master Huang brought compensation, you didn’t bring any ransom," Li Yinsheng smiled. "I have no choice but to ask you and your disciples to stay in our temple for a few days, waiting for your Temple Master to ransom you."
"Of course, of course," the cultivator surnamed Huang nodded repeatedly.
Beside him, the White-faced Cultivator looked as if he had been struck by lightning, his eyes widening. Was he going to be a hostage too?
The nearby Yang’s reaction was much milder. After all, this was already his second time. The first time was unfamiliar, but the second time was practically a routine. He even felt a bit happy in his heart. Although both his and his senior brother’s Qiankun Bags had been taken, there wasn’t actually anything good left in his. Because his original Qiankun Bag had already been robbed by Li Yinsheng yesterday. Now, inside his new Qiankun Bag, aside from a Netting Magical Artifact given by his master, there were only some worthless knick-knacks. But it was different for his senior brother. His senior brother’s Qiankun Bag truly contained his entire life savings. Thinking of this, Yang even felt a sense of vindictive pleasure. Serves him right! He had been mocking and ridiculing him the whole way here, and now he was in the exact same boat!
Yang was just about to admire his rival’s expression when, unexpectedly, Li Yinsheng suddenly turned his head to look at him. His legs immediately went weak, and he nearly fell to his knees.
"I remember this young friend’s surname is Yang, right?" Li Yinsheng asked, facing the middle-aged cultivator who was almost twice his own age. "You were the one who delivered my message last time. As the saying goes, it’s best not to bother two different people with the same task. I’ll have to ask you to make another trip and deliver a message back to the Yellow Crane Temple again. How about it?"
"I will naturally obey Senior’s command!" Yang hurriedly bowed, wishing he could bend all the way down to the ground.
Following a wave of Li Yinsheng’s hand, Yang hurriedly ran toward the Yellow Paper Crane.
"Ah, Yang, your master and I hit it off immediately, and he has already gifted that paper crane to me," Li Yinsheng said leisurely from behind. "I’ll have to trouble you to use some wind-riding technique and head back on your own."
The old man surnamed Huang’s face twitched, his heart bleeding. He had never said anything about giving away the crane. That Yellow Paper Crane was refined using the exclusive Secret Technique of the Yellow Crane Temple. It couldn’t strictly be considered a Magical Artifact, but in terms of utility and value, it was higher than many Upper Grade Magical Artifacts. Besides everyday travel, the most important thing was that if this Yellow Paper Crane was activated with lifeblood, its speed could increase several times over in an instant. When encountering strong enemies, this item was exceptionally useful for escaping with one’s life. It was considered one of the foundational assets of the Yellow Crane Temple. Although they had only lost a single Talisman Crane this time and not the method of refining it, it was still a massive hemorrhage of wealth. After all, there were fewer than ten of these Talisman Cranes in the entire Yellow Crane Temple. If it weren’t for the truly terrifying feeling this young cultivator beside him gave off, he would have wanted to take a risk, jump directly onto the Talisman Crane, and make his escape.
Of course, no matter how much his heart bled, upon hearing Li Yinsheng’s words, he still hurriedly shouted, "That’s right, I have already offered this item to Senior!"
"This... Master, Senior," Yang’s face turned bitter. "I have always relied on Magical Artifacts for Flying in the Sky..."
But now, his Magical Artifact had fallen into Li Yinsheng’s hands. He remained bowed, looking up at Li Yinsheng, his eyes harboring a trace of hope that he might get his Magical Artifact back.
"No matter," Li Yinsheng said, his expression unchanging. "I will gift you an Armor-Horse Skill to help you chase the wind and lightning, so you can return to your temple with speed."
Yang opened his mouth wide. An Armor-Horse Skill? Was this a joke? He was making him run all the way back! Seriously... The man was, after all, a senior stronger than his own master. Couldn’t he have at least given him a Fuyao Talisman?
