Chapter 2205 - 2201: Stepping Out of the Darkness

Ye Fan held his breath and collected his thoughts; what he needed was complete inner peace.

He had to use his heart to perceive a world, not his senses. It was easier said than done.

He couldn’t help but remember that he seemed to have faced a similar scenario before. Back then, he seemed to be in such an illusion too. Although compared to the current illusion, the former was insignificant. However, his cultivation back then was not high, so the difficulty of both was almost at the same level for him.

"In the past, I experienced illusions, and I vaguely remember that I relied on spiritual power to win. But now, compared to those higher-level creators, my cultivation is not as advanced. I can only use spiritual power to break through the many barriers."

With that thought, Ye Fan’s resolve became even firmer. It seemed he had found a way to leave here, and he didn’t need to destroy the world in front of him. However, he still didn’t have a better method to implement it.

"Don’t struggle, you can’t leave here. You’re just a prisoner here!"

The woman’s voice came again. This time, it seemed she wanted to disturb Ye Fan’s mind, but Ye Fan’s spiritual power had reached a terrifying level, and no external thing could disturb his spirit.

Ye Fan observed his surroundings with his heart, and finally, he discovered that the woman wasn’t lying to him. It was indeed a space similar to a universe, and everything here truly existed.

Yet, he realized that he seemed to have reached a state akin to that of the higher-level creators. He discovered that he could actually alter the space, making everything no longer a confinement for him.

At this moment, his mind was unchanging as he slowly approached the edge of this space. When he reached the edge, he found it to be a void-like space. For others, this void might be dangerous, and humans couldn’t exit the void, but with Ye Fan’s cultivation, he could easily leave here.

"Great, I can finally leave this damned place!"

Ye Fan felt he had broken free from anyone’s control and subsequently left this space.

When he exited the void again, he felt his body became substantial, giving him a sense of solidity, as if he had entered another space, which was very dark.

He tried to observe the surroundings again, but found that his spiritual power was ineffective.

"What’s going on? Could it be that the higher-level creators discovered that I escaped from the first layer of the cage and re-imprisoned me here?" Ye Fan felt confused. He tried several times to calm his mind but couldn’t discover any clues.

In the end, he had to use the most primitive methods to discern the subtleties of the world before him.

Step by step, he walked forward. There was gravity here, even similar in size to Earth’s. After walking out, he felt he was walking in a lightless cave.

He could use his senses to detect his surroundings, but ultimately felt he was in a fog. He knew the gap between his cultivation and those higher-level creators was too vast, so he wouldn’t use any intense reaction to break free of this restraint. Instead, he would meticulously observe and find flaws, which he thought was the wisest approach.

In the long tunnel, he kept walking, his speed reaching a terrifying level. But in the end, he found himself nearly circling in place.

He didn’t know how long the tunnel was. After a long time, he finally couldn’t help but stop, examining the surrounding space. It seemed he could walk out of the tunnel walls, but he found the wall’s hardness very high. Even at his maximum cultivation, he might not be able to break through.

Just then, he seemed to hear a voice that was almost hollow: "What are you all doing?"

This voice seemed to be speaking to Ye Fan, yet it also seemed not. Ye Fan realized that the originally incomprehensible wailing sounds from this voice were now understandable not because he could understand the language, but because the meaning within the voice seemed intelligible to all living beings.

"For a person’s speech to be understood by all creatures, even birds, beasts, fish, and insects, it must be communicating through psychic power!"

Ye Fan felt the other’s strength. He admitted to himself that he didn’t have this ability. He closed his eyes, disregarding the surrounding environment. Instead, he followed the call of the voice, step by step, towards where it came from. He felt that finding the way out was no longer determined by distance; rather, it required overcoming an inner barrier. Break that barrier, and one could see the light.

Time seemed to have no meaning here. Ye Fan wouldn’t bother with concepts like time and space anymore.

These seemed nonexistent. After a long time, he finally felt a glimpse of light before him. When he opened his eyes, he saw what appeared to be the cave’s exit.

"What’s going on?" Ye Fan walked step by step toward that direction. When he reached the source of the light, he felt a powerful force within. Whether he could come out once he entered was a question.

But he wasn’t one to retreat easily. Having finally found a method to escape the cage, he wouldn’t shrink back any further. He took a step forward into the light barrier.

After taking this step, he immediately sensed a different feeling inside, akin to being bathed in holy light.

Upon focusing, he realized the surrounding area was entirely a white space, resembling a hall, yet it still felt somewhat unreal to him.

"This place seems to become whatever I imagine it to be, with no constraints or changes. The greatest feature here is pursuing the feeling of my inner heart!"

Ye Fan felt very calm, not being used by anyone, nor trapped in any illusion. Everything before him seemed imagined by himself, yet it was due to a kind of sacred power contained in the surrounding space.

He didn’t find any clues in this place that seemed like a great hall, despite observing thoroughly, nor did he find the one who spoke previously.

In his confusion, he suddenly sensed the power of a living being and headed in that direction.

"The order of everything is maintained by me. Why do you want to force a change?" The speaker was a man whose supreme aura made Ye Fan very uncomfortable.
