After the Magma Demon King vanished, the Shadow Demon King turned to the Charm King. "My Shadow Demon Race will arrive soon. How are your preparations coming along?"

"Rest assured! It’s all ready." With a turn of her hand, a thumb-sized drop of blood-red liquid appeared in the Charm King’s palm.

"I call it a Blood Bag. It contains extremely pure Blood Qi Power. For humans, it works just like Primordial Liquid does for us."

"The Blood Qi Power within a single Blood Bag is equivalent to what an ordinary person would gain from ten days of Cultivation. Absorbing just three of them is like skipping a whole month of training."

"I refuse to believe any human genius can resist its temptation. This is a plot in plain sight."

"When the time comes, the human geniuses will certainly be drawn over. The task of assassinating them will fall to your Shadow Demon Race. Of course, my Succubus Race will also be there to assist," the Charm King said with a charming smile.

"No problem. But are you sure this thing can really attract those geniuses? Have you considered that their strongest experts might act directly, seize the Blood Bags, and just hand them to the geniuses? All our plans would be for nothing then." The Shadow Demon King’s voice was devoid of any emotion, but his question struck right at the core of the issue.

"Rest assured. I will randomly implant these Blood Bags into Abyssal Creatures. My people will then use a Secret Technique to bind the Blood Bags to the creatures’ life force. The moment an Abyssal Creature dies, the Blood Qi Power inside the Blood Bag will completely dissipate within half an hour."

"This way, if those human geniuses want to absorb all the Blood Qi Power, they will have to come in person. Even if they have protectors and don’t have to fight themselves, they’ll still need to be close to the front lines. I’m confident your Shadow Demon clansmen will find a chance to assassinate them," the Charm King said.

"Fine." The Shadow Demon King nodded, but his tone remained cold as he said, "However, this kind of random slaughter is too time-consuming. Besides, the Child of Destiny’s luck is formidable. It’s nearly impossible to kill him without a specially tailored plan. I hope those humans you’re controlling with the Seed of Charm can find him quickly."

Hearing this, the charming expression on the Charm King’s face vanished, replaced by a serious one. "I know, but killing the human geniuses is a necessary step. The Child of Destiny’s luck is so overwhelming that he could even find a loophole and break through the Heaven-Covering Array."

"If we don’t weaken his luck first, I’m afraid that no matter how many members of the Shadow Demon Race you send, he’ll always manage to turn disaster into fortune."

"That’s why we must first weaken humanity’s overall luck. To do that, we either kill their strongest members or kill their geniuses. The latter is undoubtedly easier."

"Alright. I hope everything goes smoothly." After a long moment of silence, the Shadow Demon King nodded, and his figure slowly faded away.

...

Meanwhile, Lin Xinghai had no idea that he was now a target of some of the most powerful beings from the Abyssal Plane.

By now, the military transport plane had landed on a makeshift airfield that had been hastily cleared.

"Alright, let’s go! Move it! We need to clear the runway for the other transports," Jian Hua said, quickly leading the group away from the temporary airstrip.

Lin Xinghai scanned his surroundings. They were about 10 kilometers from Changshi City, at a main base the Military Department had hastily set up.

Naturally, due to the lack of time, many parts of the Military Department’s main base were simply pieced together from alloy plates, giving it a somewhat crude appearance. Its sturdiness, however, was unquestionable.

Furthermore, outside the main base were layers upon layers of defensive fortifications, so there were no issues with security.

Led by Jian Hua, the group passed through several camp sectors. They finally stopped after walking for nearly five minutes.

"Alright, this block of barracks ahead is assigned to us, East Sea Academy. There’s a network here. Use your wrist-mounted computers to connect, and you’ll be able to see where your assigned quarters are, so I won’t elaborate."

"Now, I’ll distribute the battle recorders. You each get two—one to be kept on at all times and a spare. I’m sure I don’t need to explain what these are for!"

"If your battle recorder isn’t on, the military won’t acknowledge any of the Mutated Zombies you kill, no matter how many there are."

"So if your battle recorder breaks during combat, switch to the spare immediately. If the spare breaks too, return here at once and request to purchase a new one from the military," Jian Hua said, beckoning to a guard waiting nearby.

The guard quickly brought over a box and began handing out the battle recorders to everyone.

"Okay, I already explained most of what you need to know back on the transport. Time is precious now. Your ranking over the next week is all on you."

With that, Jian Hua turned to leave, but then added after a moment’s thought, "The academy has set up a temporary command post in this camp. If you run into any issues, you can find me there."

As they watched Jian Hua depart, some of the Class 1 students sprang into action, while others began talking amongst themselves, forming teams.
