Looking at the crowd burning with rage before him, Su Mo felt a headache coming on.

He had accidentally incurred public wrath.

But he really hadn’t done it on purpose.

’How am I going to explain this?’

Just as Su Mo was pondering how to explain himself, an old woman stepped out from the crowd. Filled with fury, she demanded, "You scoundrel! How dare you steal our Baihua Valley’s Hundred Flowers Earth Vein! I, this Elder, will tear you to shreds!"

"You’re an Elder of Baihua Valley?"

Su Mo asked.

Like the Drunken Immortal Tower, Baihua Valley was one of the Nine Great Forces. Although they hadn’t competed for the Martial Emperor’s Legacy, their strength surpassed that of the Drunken Immortal Tower.

Though the old woman before him was only an Elder of Baihua Valley, her Realm was Martial Venerable Great Perfection.

An entire Realm higher than the Ninth Floor Master.

The old woman stated proudly, "That’s right. I am Sha Yuerong, the Grand Elder of Baihua Valley. You may call me Granny Sha."

"Granny Sha?"

Su Mo looked baffled.

Clearly, he had no idea who Sha Yuerong was.

The crowd, however, erupted at this moment.

A middle-aged man exclaimed in shock, "I never thought... I never thought I’d get to see the venerable Granny Sha in my lifetime!"

"Is Granny Sha that amazing?" a disciple next to him asked.

The middle-aged man sighed wistfully. "Amazing is an understatement. Back in the day, she fought someone and used a single move, Hundred Flowers Withered Bones, to wipe out an entire Sect."

"What? Something like that really happened?"

The people around them were aghast.

The man continued, "That was a hundred years ago. Now, she’s probably dozens of times stronger than she was back then."

HISS...

Everyone in the crowd sucked in a cold breath.

Su Mo was also surprised.

He hadn’t expected this Granny Sha to have been famous a hundred years ago.

Curious, Su Mo narrowed his eyes. He scrutinized Granny Sha carefully, then frowned and said, "She doesn’t seem all that strong."

"What?"

"Did this kid take the wrong medicine? How dare he look down on Granny Sha."

"Heh, if they really fight, Granny Sha could turn him into meat paste with a single slap."

The crowd looked at Su Mo as if he were already a dead man.

Granny Sha herself was furious.

A hundred years ago, her fearsome reputation was well-known. Feeling she had caused too much slaughter, she had chosen to enter seclusion to cultivate her temperament, remaining silent for a century.

She never imagined that on the very first day she emerged, someone would look down on her.

And in front of everyone, no less.

But Su Mo truly didn’t think Granny Sha was very strong.

"Brat, you’re quite arrogant, aren’t you?"

Granny Sha demanded coldly.

"Arrogant? I’m not!"

Su Mo said, shaking his head.

In the eyes of others, Granny Sha was indeed very strong, perhaps even stronger than the Sect Leaders of the major powers.

But to Su Mo, she was just so-so.

Therefore, he was just speaking the truth and had no intention of offending Granny Sha.

"You’re here for your Baihua Valley’s Hundred Flowers Earth Vein, right?"

Su Mo said, "I was just about to return it to Baihua Valley. Since you’ve come in person, you can come and get it yourself."

With that, Su Mo revealed all the Earth Veins he had been hiding behind his back!

SWISH!

Everyone present was stunned.

’So many Earth Veins?’

The Earth Veins hidden behind Su Mo numbered in the dozens, large and small.

"Heavens, this kid stole so many Earth Veins at once? How did he do it?"

"Don’t tell me he’s an Earth Vein Master?"

"So what if he’s an Earth Vein Master? He dared to steal this many Earth Veins. Not even the Celestial King himself could save him now."

"Look! Isn’t that our Inference Moon Sect’s Earth Vein?"

"And ours from the Golden Prosperity Sect!"

"Our Celestial Peak Mountain’s Earth Vein was stolen by this kid too!"

"And ours..."

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The experts from the Inference Moon Sect, the Golden Prosperity Sect, and Celestial Peak Mountain all stepped forward in unison, glaring viciously at Su Mo.

They looked like they wanted to flay him alive.

Su Mo said amicably, "Everyone, please don’t be angry. I really didn’t do it on purpose. Your Earth Veins are all here. Hurry up and take them back."

"Hmph, you think returning the Earth Veins makes everything okay?"

"Wishful thinking!"

"Today, we’re not just taking back our Earth Veins, we’re also going to teach you a proper lesson! Otherwise, anyone will think they can just steal our Earth Veins in the future."

The crowd stared at Su Mo, their anger uncontrollable.

Su Mo couldn’t help but frown.

Not only had he offered to return the Earth Veins, but he had also tried to reason with them nicely. Yet these people were still relentless.

’Are they looking for a fight?’

A great battle was on the verge of erupting!

The Ninth Floor Master quickly stepped forward to mediate. "Everyone, on behalf of the Drunken Immortal Tower, I guarantee that Elder Su absolutely did not do this on purpose."

"Heh heh, it’s not that I look down on your Drunken Immortal Tower, but you can barely save yourselves. And you want to vouch for someone else?"

"Utterly ridiculous!"

"Don’t tell me the Drunken Immortal Tower had a hand in this!"

"Today, we’ll just deal with you from the Drunken Immortal Tower as well!"

The crowd looked at the Ninth Floor Master with contempt.

The Ninth Floor Master’s expression stiffened. He retorted irritably, "You can’t reason with people who are determined to die, is that it? Fine. You can discuss it with Elder Su yourselves."

With that, the Ninth Floor Master voluntarily stepped aside.

Since these people wouldn’t appreciate his kindness, he could only let Su Mo teach them a lesson.

"Come at me together!"

Su Mo said impatiently.

Granny Sha sneered, "To teach a young whelp like you a lesson, we don’t need to attack together. I alone am more than enough!"

WHOOSH!

With a casual wave of her hand, multicolored Spiritual Qi burst from Granny Sha’s palm, transforming into a sky full of exquisite flower petals.

These were no ordinary petals.

They were lethal petals, condensed from Granny Sha’s own Spiritual Qi and killing intent.

One could say that every single petal was a sharp longsword.

SHHHHH!

Tens of millions of petals tore through the air, hurtling toward Su Mo with terrifying Sword Qi.

"Killing with flower petals? As expected of Granny Sha. Even her killing methods are so beautiful."

"Beautiful? Heh, if all those petals land on that kid with the surname Su, he’ll be pierced by a thousand arrows."

"To die at Granny Sha’s hands can be considered an honor for that Su fellow."

The crowd commented, gloating over his misfortune.

Su Mo’s eyes lit up. "Killing with petals? How creative!"

As the saying goes, to die amidst a sea of flowers is a romantic way to go.

Too bad Granny Sha was too old.

Su Mo said coolly, "Alright, seeing as it wasn’t easy for you to condense all these petals, I’ll take them all."

After speaking, Su Mo stood bolt upright, not moving an inch.

’Hmm?’

Granny Sha frowned.

’Is this fellow not going to defend himself?’

’He’s underestimating me far too much.’

Even a true Martial Emperor expert would have to defend seriously against the killing intent of her tens of millions of petals.

"You damn brat, you’re courting death!"

Feeling she’d been underestimated, Granny Sha increased her power, controlling the massive tide of petals to blast mercilessly toward Su Mo.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Su Mo let the petals strike his entire body. Not only was he uninjured, but the impacts produced a series of crisp ringing sounds and even struck sparks.

"What?"

Seeing the sparks fly from Su Mo’s body, everyone was dumbfounded.

’Is Su Mo’s body forged from steel?’
