Just as Cheng the Second and Elder Feng were locked in a stalemate, a cloud of snow suddenly exploded from a distant snowbank.

Immediately after, a figure darted out from the snowbank. "You old dog Feng, you murdered my entire family! I want your life!"

Under the astonished gazes of Cheng the Second and Elder Feng, Xu Guang rapidly closed the distance. When he was less than five meters away, he suddenly lowered his head. A black gleam flashed through the night sky, appearing exceptionally bright against the snow-covered ground.

The Ghost Hair pierced Elder Feng’s abdomen like a sharp arrow. The Vitality of the Internal Visceras that made him so proud of his Training Refining Viscera Realm was unexpectedly utterly useless.

"You!" Seeing a mere Bone Forger Martial Artist dare to provoke him with incomprehensible nonsense, Elder Feng’s eyes filled with rage. He tried to break free from Cheng the Second to kill Xu Guang.

Seeing this, Cheng the Second burst into laughter, looking at Elder Feng with a mocking gaze. "Your Yellow Heaven Sect has committed countless atrocities. To think someone is actually out for your life!

"Little brother, kill him!" Cheng the Second shouted.

Xu Guang remained unmoved. He even subtly retreated a few steps, terrified that Elder Feng would break free from Cheng the Second.

Watching the Ghost Hair squirm incessantly in Elder Feng’s abdomen in an incredibly bizarre manner, drilling into his flesh and blood, Xu Guang couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement.

He thought, "As expected, Ghost Hair is best suited for breaking stalemates. As long as the opponent doesn’t have the time to deal with it, the Ghost Hair will recklessly erupt toward their heart.

"I’ve heard that an Expert in Refining Viscera Martial Arts can temper their five internal organs, transforming their vitality and blood into Visceral Force. I wonder if that so-called Visceral Force can block the Ghost Hair."

Cheng the Second watched Xu Guang retreat. Although disappointment flickered in his eyes, he didn’t think much of it. At the very least, judging from the boy’s actions, he wasn’t an enemy.

"I didn’t expect you to have offended one of the Abnormal People. I don’t know what exactly that kid’s Bloodline Power does.

"But I imagine it’s enough to cause you harm. If you want to chase Miss Cheng, you’ll have to step over me!" Cheng the Second let out an explosive shout and hugged Elder Feng even tighter.

Elder Feng’s gaze was ice-cold as it swept over Xu Guang, but it was Cheng the Second who was giving him a headache.

The ruthless feared the reckless. He originally thought he only needed to fight a guerrilla battle to wait out Cheng the Second’s explosive state, but now it seemed things had changed.

He suddenly let out a low bellow. "You forced my hand! And that brat..."

However, as he channeled his Viscera Strength, he suddenly froze, his face contorting in pain.

For some reason, a sharp pang of agony flared in his heart, as if it had been entangled by something terrifying.

He suddenly realized what was happening. Completely ignoring Cheng the Second, he stared at Xu Guang. "This is Peach Branch’s Ghost Hair! What is your relationship with Peach Branch, and why is your Bloodline Power exactly the same as hers?!"

Xu Guang looked up in shock. He wondered if this person knew Peach Branch.

If that was the case, this man absolutely could not be allowed to live.

Without uttering a single word, Xu Guang sprinted backward, not stopping until he was a full hundred meters away.

A long time passed. He watched as Cheng the Second and Elder Feng remained deadlocked and motionless, their bodies even beginning to be buried by the wind and snow, yet he remained indifferent.

The higher a Martial Artist’s Realm, the more life-and-death battles they had experienced. He couldn’t be sure if the two were baiting him into a trap.

His eight years of lying low hadn’t brought him many benefits, but the most important one was that it had cured him of his arrogance.

After another long while, he inched slightly closer, dug a rock out of the snow, and threw it at Elder Feng.

THUD.

The two statue-like bodies unexpectedly collapsed simultaneously.

Xu Guang’s expression turned somewhat strange. He wondered, "Are they dead?"

He couldn’t believe it, so he had no choice but to pick up more rocks and throw them at the pair, focusing primarily on Elder Feng.

After all, Cheng the Second was in terrible shape. First, he had ruptured his organs, then he had taken heavy blows from Elder Feng; his previous combat had been fueled by nothing but a single breath of desperate resolve.

However, in a blind spot hidden from Xu Guang, Elder Feng’s chest was torn open with a gaping hole. He was clutching a strand of long hair in his hand. Through the wound, one could even see his blood-red heart, beating with much less speed and strength than before.

He had actually forcefully carved open his own chest and extracted the Ghost Hair right out of his heart!

With such a severe injury, even someone practicing Refining Viscera would die from the slightest carelessness. What drove Elder Feng even crazier, however, was Xu Guang’s endless barrage of rocks.

He had never seen such a shameless person. He was obviously playing dead, and the boy definitely knew he was playing dead, yet he stubbornly kept tossing rocks just to be despicable.

He only wanted to continue feigning death. Eventually, Xu Guang would either cautiously leave, or greedily approach his corpse. When that happened, he would be able to exact his revenge and subsequently find a place to heal his wounds.

He noticed there hadn’t been any rocks for about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea. He wondered if the boy had left.

But when he casually swept his peripheral vision toward Xu Guang’s location, his expression twisted in sheer terror.

Xu Guang was standing on a nearby steep slope. Heaven knows where he found an oval boulder as tall as a person, but he was actually intending to roll it down.

The figure on the ground suddenly moved.

Xu Guang reacted instantly. Turning around with the speed of a fleeing rabbit, he bolted!

"You bastard, I’ll kill you!" Elder Feng was completely unhinged. Ignoring his own injuries and the hideous wound on his chest—which couldn’t even be staunched by his Power—he chased after Xu Guang, trailing a path of blood along the way.

His heart was filled with grievance and fury. He didn’t even know Xu Guang, yet the boy had schemed against him with the Ghost Hair. He had been unable to extract it during his death match with Cheng the Second. After finally outlasting Cheng the Second, he had no choice but to slice his chest open to pull the hair out.

And after all that, the boy still subjected him to such humiliation.

Even the hatred of a murdered father would only go this far, right?

How on earth had he offended this kid?

Now, he just wanted to catch up to Xu Guang, torture him, and demand to know how he had wronged him!

Xu Guang ran faster and faster, while Elder Feng grew slower and slower.

As one waxed and the other waned, although Elder Feng’s initial speed had been greater, it seemed he would never be able to catch up again...

RUMBLE!

Hearing the commotion on the ground, Elder Feng suddenly jerked his head up, as if jolted awake.

RUMBLE!

Without realizing it, he and Xu Guang had actually circled the steep slope once. He was still standing exactly where he started!

But now, he had lost too much blood, and his speed was nowhere near what it had been!

Xu Guang narrowed his eyes and licked his lips, overwhelmed by a sense of unbelievable ecstasy.

He thought, "So this is all a Refining Viscera brute amounts to!"

Elder Feng could no longer dodge the tumbling boulder. He had no choice but to reach out, vainly attempting to stop tens of tons of rolling rock with sheer human strength.

SPLAT!

In almost an instant, his arms were pulverized into a bloody mist, and his entire body was struck by the massive boulder. At the final moment, his survival instincts allowed him to borrow the momentum and roll away, but both of his arms were completely shattered.

By the time he hit the ground, he was breathing his last gasps.

Xu Guang stood on the steep slope, his gaze as placid as an ancient well. If the old man still didn’t die after this, then he would truly have no other tricks up his sleeve.

Unable to move, Elder Feng watched helplessly as Xu Guang first walked over to Cheng the Second and sliced open a gash on him with a dagger.

"I will save Cheng Lian’Er, and I will give you a proper burial. But before that, I need your help. If you were still alive, I’m sure you would agree, right?"

Xu Guang placed both palms on Cheng the Second’s chest. As the bloody color of the wound on Cheng the Second’s chest gradually faded, an unprecedented sensation of manic energy instantly rushed straight to Xu Guang’s head.

It hit him like the toll of a massive temple bell, shaking his entire body until it went numb, yet it brought an exhilarating pleasure even more stimulating than when he was intimate with Ji Xiaolu.

A Refined Refining Viscera Martial Artist’s Essence Blood was truly too abundant. Even though Cheng the Second had been dead for a while and his corpse had already grown cold in this harsh weather, he still provided Xu Guang with nearly a hundred drops of Essence Blood.

In fact, because there was so much Essence Blood, his Blood Eye underwent rapid Refinement. The energy poured back into his entire body, washing over his very being. In just a brief moment, his Bone Forging progress skyrocketed from twenty-three percent to a staggering fifty-five percent!

Watching the liquid at Cheng the Second’s wound turn clear, Xu Guang licked his lips, recalling the intense pleasure he had just experienced. He then turned a greedy gaze toward Elder Feng.

Incredibly, Elder Feng was still not dead, though he had stopped taking in air completely. The only thing keeping him alive was his sheer resentment toward Xu Guang. He simply wanted to demand one answer: what grudge, what enmity possessed this boy to treat him like this!

Xu Guang continued his probing by throwing pebbles, but he mercifully answered Elder Feng. "No grudge at all. I don’t even know you, so what grudge could we have?

"As for that Peach Branch you mentioned, she should have turned into swamp gas by now."

Hearing this, Elder Feng nearly vomited blood, but he lacked the strength to even do that.

A rattling wheeze escaped his lips. The heart visible through the gaping hole in his chest palpitated violently; devoid of the constraints of flesh and blood, it shifted out of place. After just a few spasms, it ceased moving completely.

Xu Guang tested him a few more times before finally deciding to approach.

Elder Feng was dead at last.

However, he had also taught Xu Guang a valuable lesson: never lose your head in battle. No matter how much the enemy provokes you, you must remain absolutely calm.

Another excellent teacher.

Truthfully, he had wanted to ask Elder Feng a few questions, but he hadn’t expected the old man to have such a fierce temper that he would literally die of anger.

Xu Guang repeated his earlier trick. From Elder Feng’s half-crushed remains, he extracted another eighty drops of Essence Blood. His cultivation in the Bone Forging Chapter surged forward once more, reaching seventy-eight percent.

Unfortunately, the only Ghost Hair he had nurtured during this period had been crushed by Elder Feng.

Only when everything was fully dealt with did Xu Guang look in the direction Cheng Lian’Er had fled.

A flash of worry crossed his eyes. Over an hour had passed, and he had no idea if she had escaped safely. He had already helped her kill the most powerful Expert in Refining Viscera Martial Arts, so he couldn’t be accused of leaving her to die.

He decided to go check on her now.

A cold sneer flashed across Xu Guang’s lips. The hatred of his sister being kidnapped would be settled starting with Qian Cheng’s son!

In the snowy forest.

Cheng Lian’Er wielded her Long Sword, her originally clean and tidy clothes now stained with blood. Behind her, only the guard named Cheng San remained; the others were nowhere to be found.

Though her appearance was bedraggled, her expression was serene. However, whenever her gaze briefly swept over Cheng San, a profound glint flashed in her eyes.

"Miss Cheng, have you noticed that no matter where we run, Qian Neng always manages to find us?"

Cheng Lian’Er quietly distanced herself from Cheng San. "Why do you think that is, Mr. Cheng San?"

Cheng San suddenly lunged forward, raising his Horse-cutting Saber high in the air. "Because I’m the one tipping him off, of course!"

Cheng Lian’Er seemed to have anticipated Cheng San’s betrayal. The moment he lunged, she kicked up a massive spray of snow from the ground and stumbled away into the distance.

She thought, "Cheng San must have been the first to learn about the whereabouts of the Centennial Huang Jing, right?"

As she ran, she suddenly crashed into someone. The person’s body was incredibly hard, just like a rock.

She raised her head and looked at Xu Guang in astonishment. She found him somewhat familiar but couldn’t recall where she had seen him.

"You are?!"

Xu Guang suddenly gave a gentle smile. "It is good to see you are still alive, Miss Cheng."

Cheng San’s figure darted out from the forest.

The gleaming Horse-cutting Saber interrupted what would have been Xu Guang’s self-introduction.

Xu Guang chuckled lightly and looked at Cheng Lian’Er. "Do not be afraid, Miss Cheng. Xu... will kill him for you!"
