Invincibility Begins with Mastery of Fist Techniques
Chapter 779 - 772: Ghost Vine Forest
Chapter 779: Chapter 772: Ghost Vine Forest
"Can you tell me about the other powerhouses participating in this Mimicry True Realm? The ones on the same level as the man we just saw."
Zhou Yuanjue asked. The Mimicry True Realm had opened just as they arrived, so there was still a lot of information he wasn’t privy to.
"That person just now is a candidate aligned with our Black Seal Civilization, known as ’Ghost Seal’ Bolaka. Like you, he comes from a Low-level Civilization and only made contact with the True Realm after the Laws governing contact were relaxed for this generation. He’s a genius of the Rune Lineage. Even back in his Low-level Civilization, without any knowledge of a Forging Technique, he had already reached the absolute limit of the First layer Transformation Boundary. After making contact with the True Realm and acquiring a Forging Technique, he quickly broke through that boundary."
"What’s more peculiar is that he seems to have a constitution with an affinity for multiple elements. You saw it yourself just now—he can organically combine two, or even three, elements to create terrifying new abilities. He’s called ’Ghost Seal’ because his attacks are so bizarre and unpredictable, and because of the five Seal Beads that float behind him."
Dorobaku said.
"Then there’s Nirut, aligned with the Holy Descendant Civilization. He’s also from a Low-level Civilization and is known as the ’Abyssal Artifact.’ Rumor has it that he used the Holy Descendant Civilization’s flesh-and-blood modification techniques to condense ninety-nine ’Abyss Caves’ within his body. It’s not clear exactly what kind of power he wields, but the main characteristic he’s displayed is a massive reserve of Energy, as vast as an abyssal ocean. His strength is not to be underestimated."
"Doron Steel Seal of the Lanhai Civilization is from the Steel Seal Race. This race represents the combat-oriented mechanical lifeforms of the Lanhai Civilization. Their abilities and Bloodline allow them to pilot mechanical bodies made from a special ’Steel Seal Material.’ On a large-scale battlefield, they’re nothing short of a catastrophe. In a one-on-one fight, however, he’s not that strong. He can probably be considered the weakest of the top contenders."
"As for the other two, one is from the Sacred Lotus Civilization and the other is from the Red Moon Civilization. Irene and Bodante can probably explain them more clearly."
Anjina said.
"Qingling·Divine Intent is a Descendant of the Divine Profound Race from the Sacred Lotus Civilization. Their Sacred Lotus Structures and Energy forms have undergone a tremendous transformation. Their Sacred Lotuses can materialize and assemble into all sorts of terrifying weapons according to their combat needs. They are natural-born fighting experts, skilled at destroying their opponents with incredible methods. The name ’Divine Intent’ refers to their God-like mastery of combat."
Irene said softly.
"Qianyue Jian · Yuehen is from the infamous butcher family in our Red Moon Civilization. They possess the Red Moon Blood. When their emotions run high, this Bloodline activates, drastically strengthening their Power based on the nature of that emotion. This means the more damage they take, the greater the threat of death, and the closer their will comes to despair, the stronger they become. They can even enter a strange, unique state."
Bodante spoke up.
"These five are likely the strongest experts from their respective civilizations, aside from us. Only they can pose a real threat. The rest aren’t worth our attention."
Anjina said.
’Five major civilizations, five people, huh?’
’Looks like the final stage of the Mimicry True Realm is going to be quite lively and interesting.’
The brief interlude passed, leaving the group feeling a new sense of pressure. After the intelligence exchange, a quiet silence fell over them.
There were no longer any suicidal candidates gathering around them; they had already killed most of them earlier.
Meanwhile, tremors, shouts, and other noises still echoed from various spots on the island’s beach. The fighting continued as everyone scrambled for the last remaining spots.
Zhou Yuanjue’s group didn’t move. Instead, they waited where they were.
Gradually, the surrounding sounds began to fade. The fluctuations of combat and Energy slowly died down.
"Objective complete. Remaining candidate units: ’200.’ Next stage commencing."
Just then, a message from the True Talisman entered their minds, jolting them to attention.
This stage was finally over.
VMMMM!!
Along with the vibrating sound, the group clearly saw the beach that had been shrouding the nearby forest slowly vanish, revealing the woods within.
Dense branches and leaves blotted out the light, making the forest look pitch-black and a little sinister.
It was hard to tell if it was the wind or something else, but some of the branches and leaves in the forest seemed to be stirring.
"Let’s go. Let’s take a look inside."
Dorobaku said.
People were already trickling into the forest. Not wanting to waste any time, Zhou Yuanjue’s group entered the woods as well.
They weren’t too worried about the trials within the Mimicry True Realm. If even they couldn’t handle them, things would be far more difficult for the other candidates.
In reality, their true opponents for the final secret treasure of the True Realm weren’t the stages themselves, but the other powerful experts.
TAP TAP!!
The group stepped into the forest. At first, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Aside from the dim light and the unusually resilient vegetation, there were no other issues.
Only after venturing a thousand meters deep into the forest did the group finally receive a prompt from the True Talisman.
"Each person must acquire ten ’Heart Vines’ and submit them to the True Talisman to proceed to the next stage."
"Heart Vines? I was wondering why these trees gave off such a strange feeling. So, this is a Ghost Vine Forest."
Dorobaku said thoughtfully.
"Ghost Vine Forest?"
Zhou Yuanjue asked in confusion. Even now, he was still a complete novice when it came to much of the knowledge of the True Realm.
"It’s a peculiar type of vegetation that grows on a certain planet. It’s the only life form there, covering the entire world. This life form developed a collective consciousness and can control derivative individuals to serve the main body, form armies, and even attack Aircraft Carriers and spaceships that pass by the planet."
"And within these derivative individuals is a plant structure called a Heart Vine. This thing has excellent consciousness conductivity, making it a very useful and valuable plant-based Material. Heart Vines are an indispensable component in the Dream Realm Simulation Devices we often use."
Dorobaku explained.
"Looks like this is the so-called ’bonus’ stage."
Anjina commented.
"Bonus stage?"
Zhou Yuanjue asked, confused.
"Mhm. For many participants, their goal isn’t the final prize—they don’t have the ability to get it anyway. They’re here for the bonus stages. A stage like this won’t be too dangerous for them, but it offers good rewards. Many people will just stay in the bonus stage and not advance any further."
"The individual plants spawned by this Ghost Vine Forest probably aren’t very strong, at least not for us."
