Chapter 776: Chapter 769: The Strong

Everything Zhou Yuanjue did was projected onto a light screen, visible to the Evil Dragon Life and the Sacred Lotus member.

The two looked at each other and fell silent for a moment.

It seemed that even they hadn’t expected the three bird-like black shadows, each possessing power above the First layer Transformation Boundary, to be so cleanly dispatched in a single strike.

The gravity of the Overweight Sea no longer seemed to affect him at all. Furthermore, his own strength appeared to far exceed their expectations.

"And this is the power he’s showing from below the First layer Transformation Boundary," the Sacred Lotus member murmured. "What level will he reach once he breaks through it?"

"It’s hard to imagine he possesses this level of strength," the Evil Dragon Life remarked with a sigh. "He seems quite a bit stronger than even the young ones from the Elemental Race. With power like this, he should qualify to be designated as an independent observation subject, right?"

"Give him a long-term independent observation slot," the Sacred Lotus member said, a slight smile touching the corners of his mouth. "This session of the Mimicry True Realm just got more interesting."

He was considering whether to report Zhou Yuanjue’s situation to the higher-ups of the Sacred Lotus Lineage.

Meanwhile, Zhou Yuanjue, having instantly crushed the attacking black shadows, wore a calm expression, as if he had just done something trivial.

Dorobaku and the others were still struggling, simultaneously resisting the shifting gravity of the Overweight Sea and fending off attacks from the water monkey-like black shadows on the seabed.

For now, however, they didn’t seem to be in any significant danger and were quickly adapting to the environment.

Although they had been caught off guard, if they couldn’t even pass this trial, they would probably be too ashamed to show their faces again.

No longer paying attention to Dorobaku’s group, Zhou Yuanjue turned and looked out across the sea.

Most of the people were still struggling in the water. Some had failed to adapt and had entered the near-death protection state after being attacked by the water monkey shadows.

BZZZZZ!!

Pillars of light rose from the sea’s surface. Triggering the protection mechanism within the Mimicry True Realm meant immediately losing the opportunity to continue exploring and being instantly teleported out of the True Realm. The appearance of these pillars of light signified that many candidates had already been eliminated.

However, Zhou Yuanjue wasn’t the only one who could quickly adapt to the Overweight Sea’s environment.

As he scanned his surroundings, he saw several figures who, like him, had completely adapted to the gravitational environment and were standing calmly on the surface of the sea.

One of them was incredibly tall, nearly six meters high. His body was rippling with powerful muscles, his arms hung down to his ankles, and his shoulders were proportionally as wide as he was tall. This person’s head had the form of some ferocious beast, but his azure eyes held none of a beast’s madness. Instead, they appeared highly rational, even icy. This unique combination of a terrifying, wild physique and cold, intelligent eyes gave him a distinctive aura.

Elsewhere stood a male figure clad in a white, form-fitting combat suit. He had a perfect humanoid form, nearly identical in appearance to a human, except he was three meters tall with an exceptionally handsome face. Pristine white lotus petals swirled around his feet, giving him a transcendent, holy aura. Yet, within that aura, Zhou Yuanjue clearly sensed something was off. Beneath that sacred rationality, something more seemed to be hidden.

In another direction, closest to their position, was a short, humanoid life-form, apparently from the Dwarf Race. He wore a long, dark gray robe. Although his gnarled features were clustered together, making his face look somewhat ferocious and ugly, he exuded an air of courteousness.

Notably, five glowing objects of different colors circled around him, looking rather mystical.

These few had emerged from the sea only slightly slower than Zhou Yuanjue. There were likely others farther away, on the other side of the island, but he couldn’t see them.

The commotion Zhou Yuanjue had caused seemed to have attracted the attention of these individuals, and they all turned their gazes toward him.

Under the gazes of these three, Zhou Yuanjue actually felt a strong sense of pressure. But then, they seemed to commit his appearance to memory before turning their attention away from his movements.

This was because, at the same moment Zhou Yuanjue had annihilated the bird-like black shadows, similar phantoms had attacked them as well.

A look of interest appeared on Zhou Yuanjue’s face.

’These people must be the powerhouses of this batch,’ he thought. ’I wonder how far they can go, and what kind of abilities they possess.’

CAW CAW CAW!!

The first to be attacked was the nearly six-meter-tall, brawny monster. As three bird-like black shadows swooped toward him, he didn’t even look, simply raising a massive palm toward the sky.

The flesh and blood of his palm deformed and hollowed out, as if turning into an Energy launcher.

BOOM!!

The next moment, a terrifying, dark purple Energy blast shot out from his hand, rocketing into the clouds. The three bird-like black shadows were instantly obliterated, not even a speck of dust remaining.

Meanwhile, the handsome man in the white combat suit was also attacked. He made no move either; the lotus petals swirling at his feet just spun sharply.

The three bird-like black shadows were instantly sliced into countless pieces, dissipating into black mist.

Finally, there was the being from the Dwarf Race. He showed no reaction, not even a sign of using Energy. However, as the bird-like black shadows approached within a certain range of him, they suddenly disintegrated on their own. It was a rather strange sight.

’That brute... based on his appearance and abilities, he seems to be a candidate from the Holy Descendant lineage. The man in white has the typical characteristics of the Sacred Lotus Civilization. And the last one, those five glowing orbs floating around him seem to be made of Runes... Black Seal Civilization?’

A strong sense of interest glinted in Zhou Yuanjue’s eyes. These individuals were surely the cream of the crop in this batch, perhaps even the very strongest among them.

After these few had completed the observation room’s "test," the next group of candidates began to surface. Dorobaku, Anjina, and the others were in this wave.

"Ptui! Ptui! Ptui!!"

Anjina spat out the seawater she had swallowed. She had no idea what this stuff was made of; even her flames couldn’t evaporate it.

’It took five minutes. I might look a bit of a mess, but my speed is still pretty decent, right?’

Anjina’s body slowly emerged from the water. She still looked a little shaky, but she quickly adapted completely.

She looked at the empty expanse of sea before her, thinking she was the first in this area to conquer the gravity. Just as she was feeling a bit pleased with herself, she suddenly felt a gaze from behind her.

She turned around to see Zhou Yuanjue sitting cross-legged on the water’s surface, watching her calmly. He looked as if he had been waiting for a long time.

Anjina’s mouth fell slightly agape, her thoughts in a jumble. "How long have you been waiting?" she asked.

"Not long. About five minutes."

Zhou Yuanjue said calmly, slowly rising to his feet from the sea’s surface. He could see Dorobaku and the other two beginning to emerge from the water as well.

’Just five minutes?!!’

’What the hell? It took me five minutes total to get from entering the water to getting out! Don’t tell me this guy figured out how to counter the gravity the instant he got in?’

Anjina’s face twitched slightly.
