Invincibility Begins with Mastery of Fist Techniques
Chapter 770 - 763: Departure
Chapter 770: Chapter 763: Departure
Three days later, Zhou Yuanjue had fully consolidated and adapted to the enhancements from the Rebirth’s Tendrils, gaining a much deeper understanding of its powerful effects.
Thus, he ended his seclusion and contacted Dorobaku.
"You’re finally out of seclusion."
"Any later, and we might not have made it."
Dorobaku remarked upon seeing Zhou Yuanjue. His perception locked onto Zhou Yuanjue’s body, and he could feel a strange, indescribable sensation.
"You’ve gotten stronger again?! How did you even do it?! At our level, we should have already reached our limits, yet you can still keep getting stronger?!"
Dorobaku said in surprise. He trusted his own perception.
"Something unexpected came up and delayed me a bit. Sorry."
"If we leave now, we should still make it in time, right?"
Zhou Yuanjue asked.
"Assuming no surprises, we should be fine. If you’re ready, let’s set out as soon as possible. My friend has already hurried me along several times."
Dorobaku said.
"No problem. I’m ready to leave whenever."
Zhou Yuanjue nodded.
"Alright then. I’ll see you outside the safety zone in an hour. Let’s also notify the Red Scale Organization."
Dorobaku nodded.
Both men were decisive by nature. They immediately went their separate ways, each notifying the Red Scale Organization of their impending departure and settling their respective earnings. They then regrouped outside the safety zone and swiftly departed from the Deep Blue Safety Zone.
From within the safety zone, Chishan and the other higher-ups of the Red Scale Organization watched the two figures depart together, unable to stop themselves from breathing a slight sigh of relief.
Having those two titans looming over them in the Deep Blue Safety Zone had been truly suffocating. It wasn’t just a matter of financial losses, but also the restrictions it placed on their daily operations. Even though the two of them rarely made an appearance, the Red Scale Organization still had to worry whether their actions might incur their displeasure.
"Boss, the Mimicry True Realm... are we really not going to check it out? Even if we can’t get the final reward, the Value Points and Points we could earn just by participating would be huge."
One of his subordinates asked Chishan.
"Forget it. That’s not something we can touch. Even those two might not have an easy time of it if they go. After all, I hear the final reward for this Mimicry True Realm is unusually generous. Even the behemoth organizations will probably take a piece of the action. Every time a Mimicry True Realm appears, that part of Leyuan becomes anything but quiet."
Chishan said with a sigh.
"Even those two won’t have an easy time?"
The others said in surprise. In their minds, those two were already unbelievably strong—stronger than anyone they had ever seen before.
"Chaotic Paradise is vast, and so is the True Realm. There are simply too many powerful legacies and geniuses out there."
"But that’s not our concern. While their departure has lifted two great mountains from our shoulders, it also means trouble from the Silent Organization will be here soon. That’s the problem we should be worrying about."
Chishan said gravely.
...
...
Nearly half a month had passed since Zhou Yuanjue and Dorobaku left the Deep Blue Safety Zone.
「The Dominic Wilderness, nearly one hundred thousand kilometers from the Deep Blue Safety Zone.」
The land here was a scorched, reddish-yellow. Enormous pillars of wind reached for the sky as yellow sand swirled across the cracked earth. Through the fissures, one could see scorching, crimson magma flowing within. Countless wind-eroded stone pillars stood tall upon the wilderness, forming a vast Stone Forest.
SWISH SWISH SWISH!!
The magma in the fissures below churned, as if some sort of creature were living within it.
GURGLE!!
A magma bubble burst, and a ferocious, multi-legged creature resembling a centipede emerged. Cruelty glinted in its innumerable, fly-like compound eyes, and it appeared to be devoid of reason.
It was an Earth Rock Worm, a peculiar life-form. They were not native to the True Realm, but were created in a High level Life research institute within the Holy Descendant Civilization. Their purpose was to incubate certain Materials and precious Energy, but acquiring them required a considerable degree of both strength and skill.
Therefore, the Dominic Wilderness was effectively a massive, shared resource point for several nearby Level 3 Safety Zones. Much like the Star Condensing Ore Vein, candidates hunted Earth Rock Worms and submitted their acquired resources via their True Talisman to obtain Value Points.
However, the Dominic Wilderness of today was somewhat different from its usual state.
In the center of the wilderness, countless, densely packed, pale-gold Rune Chains enveloped a massive area. The immense Energy they radiated told all who saw it that something precious was hidden within this Rune Barrier.
The area enveloped by these golden Runes was the Mimicry True Realm.
Vast amounts of Energy, combined with Rune Technology, had sculpted a nearly-realistic simulated region within.
About two months ago, a pillar of golden light had descended upon the Dominic Wilderness. Then, a massive number of metallic-colored Runes spread out from the pillar, enveloping a large area. All life within that zone was automatically teleported back to the nearest safety zones.
Now, figures could occasionally be seen moving through the complex terrain of the vast wilderness. An unknown number of people had gathered here, waiting for the Mimicry True Realm to open. In fact, over the past half-month, several large-scale conflicts had already erupted across the wilderness. Without exception, those who managed to remain were all formidable individuals.
「In a corner of the wilderness.」
An Earth Rock Worm more than three times the size of an ordinary one lay prostrate on the ground. Its hundreds of long legs trembled violently, its carapace plates clattering together with a bell-like chime. Its once-cruel eyes were now filled with terror.
A fiery red figure sat cross-legged atop the massive Earth Rock Worm’s head. This person’s entire body seemed to be formed from some kind of powerful Energy, and it radiated terrifying heat.
Although it lacked distinct, human-like facial features, its feminine form and stunningly fiery, graceful curves were still recognizable.
Anjina Tuhuo.
A Descendant of the Tu Huo Clan of the Elemental Race, she was the very "friend" Dorobaku had mentioned. Like him, she was a candidate from the current batch to enter Chaotic Paradise, and her strength had also yet to surpass the First layer Transformation Boundary.
"Is that Dorobaku reliable or not?! What is taking him so long? He still hasn’t shown up!"
"And I hear the teammate he’s bringing is actually from a Low level Civilization?"
"Among the candidates from the Low level Civilizations this time, besides Nirut of the Holy Descendant Civilization—the one they call the ’Abyssal Artifact’—and Bolaka of the Black Seal Civilization—the ’Ghost Seal’—are there any others even worth mentioning?"
Anjina said with a look of displeasure, sitting atop the giant Earth Rock Worm’s head.
