Chapter 713: Chapter 706: Test

In the end, Zhou Yuanjue failed to successfully integrate Nainte’s life structure.

The perfect structure, having completed its final metamorphosis, was simply too much of a shock to his current constitution.

After integrating the Prokaryotic Structure, Zhou Yuanjue estimated that his current Transformation Level had reached somewhere between fifty and fifty-five percent.

As for its actual power, he would only know after running some tests.

And as for a test subject...

Zhou Yuanjue stood up and took a palm-sized, transparent crystal from a storage locker on the side of the Cultivation Room.

This thing was a Dream Realm network simulation terminal. While it couldn’t directly connect to a simulation, it could use the Dream Realm network that spanned the entire True Land to let him communicate telepathically with anyone else who had a terminal.

Its function was similar to a cell phone from Earth.

The Jiaoxing Institute had specially equipped the top candidates of this batch with them. It was one of the perks of being a "seed," making it easy to send messages and communicate.

BUZZ!

He extended his Spirit, connecting with the terminal to activate it.

The terminal began to glow faintly.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

A series of vibrations then pulsed through his mind—a phenomenon that only occurred when he had incoming calls or messages.

Zhou Yuanjue didn’t even have to guess who in Bernard City would be calling him so insistently.

He opened the terminal with his consciousness, and an interface, perceptible only to his Spirit, appeared before his mind’s eye.

The sender was Demon Debaka.

Over the past two months, the roster of "seed" candidates for the upcoming qualifying competition had been finalized.

Although Zhou Yuanjue’s identity hadn’t been made public, Modin and Si Enli had arranged for the dozen or so seed candidates to meet, get acquainted, and even spar with each other several times.

After all, for this group of candidates in Bernard City, only the seeds were on a level where they could spar with one another. A lack of combat during training was never a good thing.

Ever since his last loss to Zhou Yuanjue, Demon Debaka’s innate fighting spirit had been fully awakened. He messaged Zhou Yuanjue for a fight every other day, but for the past two months, Zhou Yuanjue had been spending most of his time on Cultivation and was in no mood to deal with the guy.

But even with Zhou Yuanjue’s cold shoulder, Debaka’s enthusiasm never waned. He sent messages at the same time every day, more diligent than a simp sending "good morning" and "good night" texts.

Zhou Yuanjue opened the message with his will.

"You there you there you there you there?!"

"Wanna fight wanna fight wanna fight wanna fight?!"

"Answer me answer me answer me answer me!!"

The string of repetitive, telepathic messages flooded into Zhou Yuanjue’s mind. The simple, crude invitation made the corner of his mouth twitch.

’This guy...’

He shook his head helplessly. During this time, Modin had forbidden him from doing random matchmaking in the Dream Simulation to prevent his true strength from being exposed. Among the candidates, this guy was about the only one who could take a beating.

"You free? Let’s fight."

He sent the message with a pulse of his will.

Less than a third of a second after he sent the message, the terminal vibrated with Debaka’s reply.

’Does this guy just sit by his terminal all day?’

"Yeah yeah yeah, let’s fight let’s fight!"

"Dream Simulation battleground. Join my encrypted room. Password’s ~#$%$..."

"Lingling, Black Pill, and Didiloba are here too. Hurry up."

Zhou Yuanjue opened the message, and Debaka’s telepathic reply immediately popped up.

’So he’s already in the Dream Simulation. No wonder he replied so fast.’

Zhou Yuanjue nodded slightly.

The three people Debaka mentioned—Lingling, Black Pill, and Didiloba—were from different civilizations. They were all among the top-tier seed candidates, each with a Transformation Level above twenty percent and their own unique transformation abilities.

Their presence didn’t really change anything.

Zhou Yuanjue considered for a moment. Although he needed to hide the true nature of his simulation abilities, his current improvements were relatively minor. There was no need to be overly secretive, as everything would be revealed once the competition began anyway.

He put away the terminal, left the Cultivation Room, and headed toward his private Dream Simulation Chamber.

This was another one of the approved perks for seed candidates.

Inside the ten-square-meter private Dream Simulation Chamber, he connected to the Dream Realm network, entered his virtual hub, and skillfully searched for the room on the screen. After inputting the telepathic password, Zhou Yuanjue quickly entered the encrypted room Debaka had created.

In this type of room, the fight could not be spectated, and the outcome wouldn’t affect their total Points.

BUZZ!

A flash of white light enveloped him, and Zhou Yuanjue’s figure vanished. When the light faded, he found himself standing in a vast, boundless, white simulation battleground.

Four figures stood before him, their eyes fixed on him.

The most conspicuous one in the center was, of course, the towering Demon Debaka, with six pairs of terrifying eyes on his forehead.

Beside Debaka stood two men and one woman.

One of the males was completely shrouded in a black robe, his face obscured. The robe seemed to be a part of his body, and the gaze from the eyes hidden within the darkness emanated an immense sense of threat.

This was Black Pill, another one of the seed candidates.

"It’s not easy to get ahold of you," another man said with a smile. His face was that of a handsome humanoid, but scales crept up his neck, and his arms, extending from beneath his clothes, were covered in a multitude of silver scales that looked both sharp and Solid. "We only have a few months left. No amount of secluded training is going to make much of a difference now. Why not spend more time sparring with us and studying our opponents’ Data together?"

This person was named Didiloba.

"Heh, Mr. Zhou probably just doesn’t want to waste his time on a weakling like you."

Another, female voice chimed in telepathically. Compared to the others, who were all nearly two meters tall, this female lifeform was quite petite, standing at what looked to be about 1.4 meters. Her body levitated in midair, and her face resembled that of a young human girl.

This was Lingling.

"I have my own way of Cultivation."

Zhou Yuanjue shook his head.

"What’s with all the talk? You’re here now, so let’s just fight. It’s been half a month since we last fought!"

Demon Debaka’s crude telepathic voice instantly cut off the idle chatter, a passionate light gleaming in his six pairs of eyes.

"Of course. And this time, I’ll even grant one of your requests."

"Didn’t you want to—"
