Natasha stumbled backward, one hand clutching her head while the other caught the edge of the bed and kept her from falling.

Her breathing was unsteady, and confusion filled her expression as she tried to understand what had just happened.

Across the room, Stella stared at her with a deeply troubled expression. The sword in her grasp seemed to urge her toward a single conclusion: cut Natasha down and eliminate the demon before it could take control of her body.

Yet Stella could not do it.

The Aura Zone surrounding them vanished.

Natasha was Elias’s wife, and her heart refused to accept the thought of cutting her down simply because a demon had entered her.

More importantly, Stella could still faintly sense Envy’s presence within Natasha’s body.

She was going to take over her soon.

Or at least, that was what Stella believed.

Suddenly, Stella’s expression changed.

Her golden eyes narrowed as she stared at Natasha, and after a moment of stunned silence, she mumbled in surprise, "Her presence... vanished?"

The next instant, a torrent of purple smoke seeped out of Natasha’s body.

However, the smoke had nowhere to go.

Natasha no longer possessed spiritual veins, and spiritual veins were not merely channels that carried spiritual energy. They were structures capable of containing every form of energy created by the Spirit Realm.

Spiritual energy, demonic energy, spiritual essence, ghostic energy, shamanic power, holy essence, unholy essence, horric energy, and countless other forms of power could all be carried through them.

The Spirit Realm was like a giving parent, creating whatever its children required to exist.

It was, in essence, the womb of creation.

But Natasha had no spiritual veins.

Therefore, the demonic energy that escaped her body had nowhere to disperse, and instead, it was pulled back toward the spiritual space from which it had originated.

Natasha let out a shaky breath before her legs finally gave way, causing her to fall onto her knees.

She placed one hand over her chest and slowly inhaled, then exhaled, taking several deep breaths as she tried to calm herself despite having absolutely no idea what had just happened.

Stella was just as confused.

Then, without warning, Stella stumbled forward.

Hellbreaker slipped from her fingers and struck the wooden floor with a dull clang before Stella’s body collapsed beside it.

She had fallen unconscious.

Natasha immediately lifted her head, and her eyes widened.

She pushed herself upright despite the lingering weakness in her legs, and as she stood, her gaze accidentally fell upon the window.

Natasha froze.

Her reflection stared back at her.

The distasteful scars left behind by the failed saintess ritual were no longer as prominent as before. Some had even faded so much that they seemed to have disappeared entirely.

Her eyes trembled.

Slowly, Natasha raised a hand and touched the part of her face where one of the scars had once been.

It was smooth.

Her fingers traced the skin again, almost as though she expected the scar to suddenly return.

Joy began rising within her heart, overwhelming and unfamiliar in its intensity.

But alongside that joy, she felt something else.

Something unnatural and unfamiliar.

A connection beyond herself, reaching somewhere she could not understand, yet she somehow knew exactly who stood at the other end.

Natasha’s lips parted slightly as she continued staring at her reflection, unable to explain how she knew.

Then a horrified voice suddenly came from outside.

"What the fuck?! Oh my god, he was split into two!"

As Natasha couldn’t hear, she continued staring at herself through the window’s reflection, gently touching the place where a scar had once marred her face.

For the first time in years, she felt the insecurity within her lessen.

Meanwhile, Sermus stood at the doorway, staring into the room with a sword held tightly in both hands.

His shirt was dyed red by the large cut that Deamon had traced across his chest and abdomen, though blood no longer seeped out of it.

"Lady..." he tried to call out, but then his brows furrowed. "What was her name?"

A loud shout suddenly fell upon him.

"What are you doing, Sermus?!"

Sermus turned his head and looked at Benjamin standing marching toward him.

The old butler’s expression was furious and troubled.

Sermus merely stared at him with his green eyes before shrugging and replying in his usual dry voice, "What?"

"Did the master not tell you to stay in your chambers?" Benjamin spat as he stopped before him. "What are you doing outside?!"

Sermus blinked.

Before he could answer, Benjamin’s gaze shifted past him.

His eyes landed upon what remained of Daemon.

The man’s body had been split apart, leaving a gruesome scene in the room, and Benjamin’s face immediately paled.

His stomach churned violently, and for a moment, he felt as though his breakfast might come back up.

However, before that could happen, his gaze shifted again.

This time, he saw Stella lying unconscious on the wooden floor.

His expression changed instantly.

"Lady Stella!"

Benjamin rushed inside without another thought.

Sermus remained at the doorway, watching the old butler hurry toward Stella before he frowned deeply.

"He did not tell me to stay in my chambers..."

As Benjamin rushed inside, Natasha came out of her reverie, and she turned her head toward Stella.

She grabbed her by the hand and tried to lift her; however, contrary to her expectations, she was able to do so much more easily than she had believed.

Benjamin stared at the two women and immediately bowed his head. "My Ladies! I sincerely apologize for rushing in without permission."

Natasha didn’t know what he was saying, so she simply waved her hand for him to raise his head.

"As you wish, Lady Natasha," the butler said before he turned around and left the room.

She stared at him in confusion while holding Stella by the waist.

’I wanted him to help me...’

She frowned and shifted Stella onto the bed, then she stared at her with eyes full of countless thoughts.

Suddenly, a familiar voice sounded in her head.

[Natasha...?]
