Alright, alright, calm down before you break my couch," I laughed, tossing May a napkin as she took a seat on one of the high stools.

"Actually, I’m not just here to steal your sun," May said, leaning forward on the counter and looking at the squad. "Have you guys even looked at social media since you won? You’re everywhere. The clip of you guys breaking TitanSkell’s script—and then exposing them on the jumbotrons—is sitting at over fifty million views. You’re the biggest thing in sports and gaming right now."

NightEye instantly pulled out her phone, her eyes widening. "Holy... she’s not lying! We’re literally trending number one globally!"

"Which brings me to my next point," May continued, looking around the room. "I love a good story, especially when it involves tearing down frauds. Zenith is blowup-status right now. So, Ethan and I talked, and I’m officially signing on to endorse the Zenith brand."

The living room practically exploded.

"AN OLYMPIC ENDORSEMENT?!" Angelo yelled, clutching his chest. "Are you serious?!"

Amanda, usually the cold, stoic captain, completely lost her filter and dropped straight into full yap mode. "Wait, wait, wait—so are we doing joint athletic gear lines? Are we setting up cross-promotional campaigns? Because our branding framework is already primed for high-performance apparel, and having the fastest woman alive co-signing our merchandise line is going to completely break the market structure—" She paused mid-sentence, caught her breath, and quickly pulled a pen out of her jacket. "Also, can you please sign my jersey? Right here on the collar. Please."

May burst out laughing, taking the pen and smoothly scribbling her signature across Amanda’s shirt. "Done. But only if you promise to keep pulling off insane grenade plays like that last round."

" deal!" Amanda grinned, completely dropping her serious persona for once.

"Alright," you said, checking your watch and stepping into the middle of the room. "We can talk business and strategy later. Right now, everyone’s hyped, May just landed, and I’m starving. Put some real clothes on—we’re all going out to eat at the best spot on the island."

"First round of seafood is on the boss!" Piercer called out, already heading toward her room to change into a night outfit.

Within an hour, the whole crew—I, May, Amanda, Piercer, NightEye, and Angelo—were walking down to the beachside restaurant strip, ready to celebrate.

The seaside restaurant was alive with soft string lights, ocean breeze, and the ambient hum of the night. Up at the front, May was the absolute center of attention—waitstaff, tourists, and even the restaurant manager were practically tripping over themselves to welcome her, snapping photos and asking about her training.

Meanwhile, the rest of the squad didn’t care about the spotlight at all. They were starving and had only one goal in mind: the massive, spread-out gourmet buffet.

NightEye’s eyes lit up like Christmas morning as she caught sight of the endless rows of king crab legs, prime rib, and glazed seafood stations.

"Oh, it’s over," NightEye declared, grabbing two giant plates at once. "This is an all-you-can-eat buffet! I’m about to set a personal record!"

Piercer pinched the bridge of her nose, letting out a dramatic sigh as she watched NightEye already stacking three lobster tails onto her first plate. "NightEye, please. We are champions of the world. Don’t disgrace us, jeez. Have some composure."

"Let her be," I laughed, taking a glass of chilled juice from the server. "She just burned ten thousand calories playing beach volleyball and winning a Grand Final. Eat up, Night."

NightEye was absolutely shameless. She didn’t care one bit. She gave Piercer a cheeky wink, added a fourth lobster tail, and marched straight back to the table like a queen returning to her throne.

"Boss gets it!" NightEye cheered, taking a massive bite of crab. "Composure doesn’t fill the stomach, Piercer!"

Angelo shook his head, cracking up as he filled his own plate, while Amanda leaned back in her chair, watching the chaos with a warm, satisfied smile. For the first time in months, nobody was stressingThat sounds like total chaos in the best way possible. Night Eye treating a formal setting—or whatever venue you guys were at—like a golden corral free-for-all while Piercer tries to play the etiquette police is a dynamic for the ages.

And of course, Night Eye has zero shame about it. Honestly, you gotta respect the commitment to the food; why stress over being the "center of attraction" like Ruby when there’s a full spread right in front of you? You were just being a good enabler letting her live her best life!

I stepped away from the table to grab a round of fresh drinks from the bar, but as the server handed them over, a sudden awkward misstep ruined everything.

Clink!

A full glass of deep red wine tipped over, splashing across the chest and lapel of my custom suit. The rich, dark liquid soaked straight into the expensive fabric, leaving a glaring, messy stain.

The immediate area went dead silent. A collective gasp echoed from our table as the team and surrounding guests turned to look.

"Oh my god! I am so, so sorry!" the server stammered, her face going pale and her hands shaking uncontrollably as she grabbed a handful of cloth napkins. She was practically trembling, completely terrified that she had just ruined a high-end suit for someone sitting with an elite crew.

"Hey, hey, take a breath. It’s totally fine, it’s just a suit," I said quickly, trying to calm her down before she panicked completely.

Before the server could even process it, May stepped up right next to me, taking a stack of fresh napkins.

"Here, let me help," May said gently, stepping in to dab the wet wine off my chest and jacket before it could set deep into the threads.

Even with her world-class athletic composure, she was rushing to absorb the spill, her hands working quickly across the lapel to clean up the mess. The server stood there frozen, still trembling with her hands shaking, completely stunned to see a global superstar dabbing wine off my jacket while the rest of the gang watched the whole awkward scene unfold.
