Investing In Overlooked Women: I Get Cashback On Every Glow-Up
Chapter 92: One Last Map
On her cue, all four of them unleashed a synchronized, long-range salvo from four completely different elevated angles. The volley of hidden sniper and rifle fire pounded the target’s position, nearly tearing his health bar to zero in a second.
Just as TitanSkell’s backup squad rushed in from behind to collapse on what they thought was a trapped Zenith roster, Amanda called the pivot.
"Break and scatter! Execute Split-Hyena!"
Instead of panic-firing, Zenith scattered instantly like a pack of wolves, breaking line of sight before TitanSkell’s auto-aim algorithm could get a solid read on a single target. TitanSkell pushed forward aggressively, assuming Zenith was retreating in chaos, but it was a trap.
As TitanSkell closed in on the empty lane, Zenith regrouped from the blind spots and converged on TitanSkell’s weakest link—their isolated rear support player.
NightEye drew the initial crosshair sweep, Piercer slid out from the blind corner, and Amanda tapped him down from the high perch while Angelo locked the escape route.
[FIRST BLOOD] Luna_Sky 🔫 Titan_Flex
The play was nothing short of epic. The entire control room speaker system vibrated as the arena crowd erupted into a chaotic roar.
"HOLY SHIT!" the tech guy yelled, slapping the desk. "They baited the entire collapse and isolated the backline! Their algorithm couldn’t target anyone because they broke the read phase!"
I let out a slow breath, a cold smirk spreading across my face as I watched LownGun’s character spin around in-game, completely panicked.
"I told you," I said, watching Amanda lead the pack. "Break the script, and a machine doesn’t know what to do. Round four is ours."
The rest of Round Four played out like a masterclass in pure psychological warfare.
Every single time TitanSkell tried to set up a peek to trigger their auto-shoot script, Zenith simply vanished into smokes, slid across line-of-sight gaps, or traded angles from extreme range. Denied a static target to scan, TitanSkell’s algorithm was completely useless.
On the player cams, LownGun and his team were visibly crumbling. Their faces were flushed red, slamming their hands on their desks, utterly helpless as their automated crutch was dismantled right in front of them. Zenith’s mechanical superiority and relentless pack tactics were just too clean.
One by one, TitanSkell got picked apart in the open field.
[ROUND WIN: ZENITH ESPORTS]
The main arena monitors flashed FLAWLESS ROUND as the series tied up 2-2. Zenith had just swept the round without a single player dying.
The stadium absolutely exploded. Tens of thousands of fans jumped out of their seats, deafening cheers shaking the control room walls as the casters lost their minds on the broadcast. Everyone was witnessing the greatest comeback in tournament history.
"YES!" the tech guy in the control room screamed, throwing his hands in the air. "A PERFECT SWEEP AGAINST CHEATERS!"
Down on the main stage, Piercer pulled off her headset and threw a vicious smirk straight across at TitanSkell’s booth. Amanda stayed completely stone-faced, tapping her screen as the game loaded into the final, decisive map point.
I grabbed the external drive with the recorded cheat proof from the desk, slipping it into my jacket pocket.
"One map left to finish them," I said, looking at the monitors with a satisfied grin.
But.
TitanSkell had completely changed their setup for the final round. Realizing their isolated players were getting devoured one by one, they abandoned their default spread and stacked tight, forming an impenetrable turtled turtle shell. They locked down every choke point together, covering each other’s blind spots so closely that Zenith couldn’t even find an entry angle without walking straight into a crossfire of automated precision.
My team was completely locked out. Every time Piercer tried to shoulder-peek a corner, three crosshairs instantly pre-aimed the gap, forcing her to fall back.
Down on the stage, LownGun leaned into his headset, his arrogant, mocking voice echoing clearly over the proximity comms feed. "What happened, Amanda?! Where’s that big momentum now?! Are you scared to peek?! Come on, bring your little hyenas out!"
He was trying to get under her skin, poking at her patience to force a desperate, foolish push into their firing squad.
Through the control room monitor, I watched Amanda’s player cam. Her character stopped moving in-game. For one full, agonizing second, she completely froze, dropping her hands slightly as she shut her eyes tight, tuning out the deafening roar of the crowd, LownGun’s toxic taunts, and the ticking clock.
She took one deep, slow breath.
Then, her eyes snapped open—cold, sharp, and utterly devoid of fear.
Without saying a single word over the comms, a silent signal seemed to pass through the entire squad. Piercer, NightEye, and Angelo didn’t hesitate for a fraction of a second. The whole team locked into raw, unadulterated killer instinct and charged straight toward TitanSkell’s defensive line.
"Piercer, stay off the front line!" Amanda’s voice cut through the comms like a steel blade. "Hold the high lane and cover us!"
Instead of trying to out-maneuver TitanSkell’s turtled formation, Zenith executed a brutal, sacrificial push. Amanda, NightEye, and Angelo threw a wave of suppressive spray, barging straight through the tight choke point. They weren’t dodging—they were acting as a living shield to draw every single piece of automated crosshair tracking away from Piercer.
TitanSkell’s scripts instantly locked onto the incoming push.
NightEye went down first, taking a lethal burst to the chest while holding her fire to keep LownGun’s reticle glued to her. Eliminated: NightEye
Angelo stepped right into the crossfire next, laying down heavy cover fire that forced TitanSkell’s secondary fragger to hold his trigger. Eliminated: Angelo
With TitanSkell’s crosshairs completely dragged out of position by the sacrifice, Piercer stepped out from the high lane completely unmolested. Her crosshair didn’t hesitate. Tap. Tap.
DOUBLE KILL: PiercerXI
Two of TitanSkell’s core players collapsed instantly. But the push had cost Zenith almost everything.
Only Amanda and Piercer were left, and Amanda was still charging straight into the teeth of TitanSkell’s defensive point. Standing in the control room, my hands gripped the edge of the console desk so hard my knuckles turned white. What is she doing?!
LownGun swiveled his crosshairs toward her. With no one left to draw the bait, his script’s auto-aim centered dead-on Amanda’s forehead, the frame-perfect read locking in, ready to execute the final shot.
