Investing In My Wives And Get 10,000x to 100,000x Rewards
Chapter 191: Rewards 1
"You may take your leave now, and see that my direct orders are immediately conveyed to the board at the Grand Hospital." Kelly said, turning on her heel to walk back toward her seat and smoothing her dress as she sat down:
"Oh, and make it abundantly clear to the director: if I arrive there tomorrow morning and find a single vital staff member missing, they should consider themselves permanently fired on the spot." She added coldly.
"I understand completely."
Viper offered a sharp, respectful nod and turned, walking briskly out of the grand dining room, leaving Butler Tang and the three wives behind in the heavy silence.
"My operational plan is solid on paper, but there are still several critical flaws in the layout... For instance, the protective magic barrier enveloping Silverspire. If that barrier successfully holds the monster horde at bay without a single breach, our emergency medical camp won’t generate a single cent of profit."
"Huh? In that case, should we just destroy the city barrier ourselves?" Juliana asked with a mischievous smirk, her nonchalant question giving Butler Tang a near-fatal heart attack on the spot.
"We don’t need to resort to anything so reckless... Besides, I strongly sense that something isn’t right about this entire situation." Kelly closed her eyes, her brow furrowing:
’I can’t quite pinpoint what it is, but this entire crisis feels completely unnatural... I keep having this persistent, ominous intuition that some unseen entity is watching the entire city from the dark.’ She thought, before shaking her head to clear her mind:
"Regardless, we will observe how the situation unfolds on the frontlines. Whether we net a massive profit or not ultimately doesn’t matter in the grand scheme... And Butler Tang, send immediate word to the executive management at Heaven Hotel—they are to officially rebrand and alter the establishment’s name to the Aetheldawn Hotel. You have strictly two days to see the paperwork and transition completed." She stood up, her sharp gaze sweeping across her two sister-wives before her:
"We are now recognized as part of the Ancient Families, which means we desperately require absolute stability, widespread influence, a formidable army, vast financial capital, and unyielding power! Step by step, we will force the entire world to acknowledge and revere the Aetheldawn name... For now, our sole focus must be expanding our internal strength, finding every conceivable method to assist our husband, and curing both of your conditions completely."
The two wives simply offered warm, affectionate smiles to their elder sister.
"Yup! We’re right beside you every step of the way!" Juliana said with a bright smile.
"Oh, um..." Kelly suddenly turned toward Sara, a subtle flush of heat warming her cheeks:
"Sara... Would you mind sharing that red book of yours with me?"
"....?!"
Both Sara and Juliana blinked in utter, speechless shock.
"You want to read that book too?! I thought you already knew everything there is to know about those things?!" Juliana teased.
"I still need to keep reading and researching to refine my knowledge," Kelly countered swiftly, clearing her throat to maintain her composure.
"In that case, I’m joining the reading session too!" Juliana declared happily.
Butler Tang stared at his three madams, completely lost and bewildered. He had frequently seen Lady Sara quietly engrossed in that plain red book, but he had absolutely no inkling as to what scandalous or profound knowledge was actually written inside its pages.
WHOOSH!!
In an instant, an overwhelming, staggering wave of raw energy erupted from upstairs, sweeping through the entire villa and locking the four of them in place. Their heads whipped toward the dining room doorway, their eyes wide with shock.
"What... what on earth was that?!" Juliana asked, genuinely stunned by the pressure.
"It feels like someone is undergoing a massive breakthrough... but our Husband is the only other person in the estate, and he is already an SSS-RANK Awakened," Kelly added, her eyes suddenly going wide as a realization struck her.
"Don’t tell me...?"
The four of them remained frozen in speechless disbelief.
___
[Some Minutes Ago.]
[Asher’s Private Master Suite.]
Asher walked out of the spacious bathroom, freshly showered and dried off. Wearing only a pair of comfortable trousers, his sculpted, shirtless chest exposed, he walked over to the wide king-sized bed and sat down on its edge:
"Alright, system. You can begin the reward distribution now."
{Congratulations, Master, for successfully curing First Wife Kelly.}
{Major Milestone Crossed.}
{Congratulations! Master has earned Milestone Rewards: A Supreme-Tier Skill Gemstone.}
"A Gemstone?" Asher repeated, raising an eyebrow.
{Note: The Skill Gemstone can be consumed on any single existing skill to forcibly elevate its rank directly to Supreme-Tier.}
"The fuck!!!"
Asher stood straight up from the bed in absolute shock.
He hadn’t merely gained a new ability—he had acquired an extraordinary catalyst capable of elevating any base skill straight into the legendary Supreme-Tier rank!
Currently, his God’s Eye was his absolute only Supreme-Tier Skill. If he could forcibly elevate another one of his core abilities to that divine threshold, wouldn’t his overall combat power become utterly game-breaking?!
Asher stared down at his open palm, his mind racing in awe. His existing arsenal was already terrifyingly potent, but which specific skill should he actually choose to upgrade? He possessed far too many exceptional abilities to make a rushed decision.
"System, recommend the absolute best skill in my status to upgrade right now."
{Apologies, Master. The system cannot assist or influence choices regarding Milestone Upgrades.}
"Fair enough... I’ll hold onto the Gemstone for now." Asher murmured, settling his breathing. "Show me the remaining rewards."
{Congratulations! Master has acquired a Primordial-Tier Cursed Equipment.}
{Item: King’s Overseer.}
"A Cursed Equipment? And it carries a tier classification I’ve never even heard of before? I thought Supreme Mythic-Tier was the absolute apex of gear rarity... And what exactly is this ’King’s Overseer’?"
He locked his eyes onto the hovering system interface as detailed item information materialized before him. The light dimmed, revealing a heavy, eerie leather tome featuring a carved, realistic skull embedded into both the front and back covers.
"It’s a... Dark notebook?"
{King’s Overseer: Sacrifice the soul of any EX-Rank or higher entity to the Overseer to instantly manifest one Supreme-Tier Skill, Mount, Physique, Potion, or Gear, which will be permanently owned.}
{Note: In every cycle of existence, Blessings and Curses are fundamental forces no living creature can ever truly escape.}
’What is that supposed to imply?’ Asher raised a skeptical eyebrow at the cryptic system note.
’In every cycle of existence, Blessings and Curses are fundamental forces no living creature can ever truly escape... That reads suspiciously like a heavy contextual warning. This tome is undeniably absurd in terms of raw potential, but it is equally perilous. I must exercise extreme caution whenever I decide to deploy it.’ He thought, choosing not to physically manifest the heavy artifact into the room just yet.
If Astrid could easily detect the energy of an EX-Rank Awakened, summoning an item of such terrifying Primordial caliber would undoubtedly attract the immediate, unwanted attention of the other Ancient Families directly to his doorstep.
Not the right moment.
"Display the next set of rewards."
