"No, Lady, you can’t do this!" Gracie looked utterly panicked.

"Eva, how could you take your own mother’s power?" she added, beginning to blame Eva, who remained indifferent to her complaints.

She was still trying to maintain her composure because other people were present.

"This isn’t your daughter’s fault. I’ve been thinking about it too. I need to protect the reputation of anyone who possesses my power," Miya said.

"How can you say that? You’re the one who ordered me to do it!" Gracie couldn’t help protesting.

"This is simply your nature. I just took advantage of it. But don’t worry, you can come back later, and I’ll grant you power for free as long as you have Bio Copper."

After saying that, Miya casually touched Gracie’s chest.

In an instant, the small piece of copper appeared in her hand.

Gracie’s eyes widened, and she gasped for breath.

"My power is still inside your body. You can use it when you’re in a desperate situation, so you can basically still consider yourself a Giant."

"You can’t do this! This isn’t fair!" The woman began to look frustrated.

"Eva." She turned to her daughter again.

"How could you do this to your own mother?" she demanded.

Although Eva had been trying to maintain her composure, she still frowned.

"Have you no shame? How dare you call yourself my mother after sleeping with a man my own age? Where is your dignity? Do you live only for your lust?" she asked angrily.

In the end, she really couldn’t stand keeping quiet any longer.

"If it weren’t for Father, you’d be nobody. Yet now he has to bear the disgrace caused by your vile actions. How many people in this world could possibly be more despicable than you?"

Gracie, "..."

"Honey, let’s go. Just leave your assistant here for now," Miya whispered to Enzo before pulling him along.

Enzo simply followed her. It wouldn’t be appropriate for them to stand around watching a mother and daughter argue like this.

Enzo agreed, but Miya didn’t lead him toward their car. Instead, she pulled him straight onto the road, approaching a taxi that had stopped at the roadside to wait for passengers.

The taxi driver was relaxing beside the door, standing there while watching the commotion at the Governor’s birthday party.

When Enzo and Miya approached, he immediately straightened his back.

He even took the initiative to open the rear door, knowing that they wanted to take his taxi.

"Sir, ma’am, where would you like to go?" he asked.

"Star Hotel," Miya replied.

She entered the taxi first, followed by Enzo, who struggled to hide his surprise.

Miya was genuinely serious about making tonight their night together.

Rather than going home first, she had decided to head straight to a hotel.

Star Hotel was the largest luxury hotel chain in North America and Europe, with branches exclusively in first-tier cities.

"Allow me, sir," the taxi driver said when Enzo tried to close the door.

The driver closed it himself before returning to the driver’s seat.

He then began driving calmly.

"I heard quite a commotion coming from the Governor’s party. Something big must have happened. But you two must be pretty impressive to have been invited despite being so young," he remarked as he drove.

Enzo and Miya were slightly surprised to hear that.

Apparently, they looked around the same age in the taxi driver’s eyes.

Miya smiled as she lifted Enzo’s hand and then lowered it again.

"Have you booked the hotel room?" Enzo asked quietly.

Star Hotel was always busy, especially now that the Governor’s birthday celebration was attracting so many influential people from other cities who would likely be staying there.

If they hadn’t made a reservation in advance, they might not be able to get a room.

However, Miya shook her head in response before suddenly taking out an electronic key card bearing the words Super VVIP, Star Hotel.

"I have a room in every one of their hotels, reserved exclusively for me. They’re never rented out, but they’re always maintained. I’m the only person who has this privilege," Miya answered in an equally quiet voice.

It wouldn’t be appropriate to discuss their room in front of someone else, after all.

Enzo curiously took the key card from her. It was made of high-quality metal, sturdy yet lightweight.

"Do you know their boss? Did they just give these rooms to you for free?" he asked.

Even if it was only one room in each of their hotels, especially a room of the highest class that remained unused every day, the losses could amount to tens of millions of dollars, perhaps even more.

"They did give them to me for free, simply to avoid making an enemy of me," Miya replied.

"Looks like you’ve really scared them." Enzo smiled wryly.

Miya chuckled softly without explaining further.

The journey took only about ten minutes because the hotel was relatively close.

The Star Hotel in this city had only seven floors, yet it was already one of the tallest buildings around, as regulations limited its height.

Since it couldn’t be built any higher, the hotel had instead been designed as an enormous structure.

The taxi driver dropped them off right in front of the entrance, saving them from having to walk any farther across the spacious grounds, where numerous luxury cars were parked.

"Here’s your fare." Miya handed the driver three hundred-dollar bills before opening the door.

"Thank you..." The taxi driver had already expected to receive a generous tip, and he smiled brightly.

Since the hotel entrance was directly in front of the door Miya had used to get out, Enzo stepped out through the same door.

"Come on..." Miya immediately pulled him into the hotel lobby by the hand.

Before they had even done anything, they had already attracted everyone’s attention.

Miya walked over to the reception desk, where a beautiful receptionist appeared to have little to do.

"Lady, have you made a reservation?" the receptionist asked.

"No..." Miya replied as she placed her electronic key card on the counter.

"I have a room here, but I don’t know where it is. Could you show me the way?"

The receptionist looked utterly astonished as she examined the key card more closely.

Her fellow receptionists were naturally drawn to it as well.

"Lady, please wait a moment." The receptionist scanned the small code on the key card with her phone.

DING!

The key card suddenly made a sound, nearly making the receptionist jump in shock.

"Lady, please follow me. I’ll escort you to your room," the receptionist said after taking a deep breath.

She quickly composed herself.

Miya nodded and gestured for the receptionist to lead them without delay.

This wasn’t supposed to be part of her duties, but she was more than happy to do it.

Perhaps she had already learned Miya’s identity through her phone. Naturally, she didn’t tell the other receptionists, leaving them confused.

The VVIP elevator wasn’t accessible to everyone, but the receptionist led them straight to it.

She opened the doors for them, allowing them to enter first.

Once the doors closed, the receptionist didn’t dare glance behind her, worried that she might offend them.

Only after the elevator doors opened and they arrived in the corridor on the top floor did she finally dare to look back.

"Lady, you’re entitled to all the services our hotel offers. If there’s anything you need, simply press the button on your key card and tell us what you’d like," she explained.

"Would you like us to send up dinner?" she asked.

"No need," Miya replied curtly.

The receptionist nodded slightly without saying anything else and led them down the corridor.

The doors were spaced quite far apart, indicating that each room was separated from the others by a considerable distance.

Eventually, they stopped at the very last door, located right beside the corridor’s window.

The door itself was completely different from the others, adorned with an imposing dragon carving.

The hotel seemed determined to emphasize just how special this room was.

"Lady, please. This is your room," the receptionist said.

Miya placed the electronic key card against the door handle. The light, which had initially been red, turned green.

She pushed the door open, revealing an enormous, luxurious room that blended futuristic design with medieval European elegance.

The bed was large and elevated, decorated in regal red and gold.

Even the other furnishings, such as the dining table, were made from high-quality materials.

This was by far the most luxurious room Enzo had ever seen.

Miya smiled, looking satisfied.

She glanced at Enzo, winked with her left eye, and entered the room first.

Enzo took out three hundred-dollar bills and handed them to the receptionist.

"You can go back now. Tell your boss that the owner of this room promises you’ll be the next manager," he said casually.

Without waiting for the receptionist’s reaction, he stepped inside and closed the door.

He was just casually spouting nonsense, but it was a fitting reward for the receptionist, since she’d been lucky enough to serve Miya.
