Spat!

It was early in the morning, barely half an hour after dawn, when Kyle stood in his bathroom brushing his teeth. He leaned over the sink and spat out the foamy toothpaste with a loud sound before reaching for his toothbrush again.

Gargle! Spat!

After rinsing his mouth with water, he wiped his lips with the back of his hand and stared at his reflection in the mirror.

"Today’s the day," he declared, a smirk spreading across his face.

His eyes were practically shining with anticipation.

Today, he would finally leave Earth behind and take his first steps toward becoming an interdimensional pornstar.

Well, technically, he would only be getting a taste of what that life entailed. He still had a long way to go before he could consider himself a proper interdimensional star. Nevertheless, the opportunity to explore an entirely different world, encounter people with abilities beyond anything found on Earth, and begin building his reputation was more than enough to excite him.

He had been looking forward to this moment ever since he had received the temporary dimensional travel ticket.

Unfortunately, excitement alone couldn’t prepare him for an unknown world.

There were practical matters to consider, and the most important of them had been money.

He couldn’t simply travel to another dimension with empty pockets and hope everything would work out. He had no idea what kind of dangers awaited him, how difficult it would be to find food and shelter, or whether he would encounter people who could kill him without breaking a sweat.

Worse still, he needed to earn System Points.

His existing income from videos provided some financial breathing room, but he couldn’t afford to waste everything he earned. If he wanted to survive his first interdimensional adventure, he needed supplies, defensive equipment, healing items, and enough resources to deal with unexpected situations.

That was why he had postponed the trip.

But now, after days of preparation, the time had finally arrived.

"Fuck... I’m actually shivering with excitement!"

Kyle stood beneath the shower, his head tilted forward as cold water poured over him.

He had turned the temperature down as far as it would go, yet his body still felt strangely hot. Goosebumps covered his arms, and he could feel his heart beating faster than usual.

It wasn’t fear. At least, not entirely.

It was the anticipation of doing something he had dreamed about for so long. He was finally going to experience the very thing that had inspired the name of his System.

An entirely new world, newer opportunities and new type of porn to make.

And potentially, an entirely new level of danger.

"Cool down... Cool... down..."

He inhaled slowly, held his breath for a moment, and then exhaled.

There was no point getting carried away before he had even left Earth. Excessive excitement could cloud his judgment just as easily as fear could, and he couldn’t afford either once he arrived somewhere unfamiliar.

After a few more deep breaths, Kyle finally felt composed enough to leave the shower.

He dried himself, got dressed, and opened his inventory to conduct one final inspection.

"All possible preparations are finally done, and I’ve even secured a source of passive income while I’m away."

He scrolled through his inventory, checking each item carefully.

He had spent a considerable number of System Points preparing for the journey, but he believed the expense was justified. A little extra preparation now could save him from a disastrous situation later.

His latest purchase had been arranged through the seller known as BroomBroomLady.

For a total of five thousand System Points, he had acquired ten Mana Bombs, fifteen Low-Grade Healing Potions, and a single defensive accessory called the Amulet of Light.

The items appeared in his inventory with their descriptions.

[

Item Name: Mana Bomb

Grade: Low-Grade

Type: Consumable

Quantity: 10

Description: A single-use magical explosive containing compressed mana. Upon detonation, it releases a burst of magical energy that damages targets within its effective radius. Its destructive power is limited, making it most effective against ordinary opponents and low-level creatures.

Item Name: Low-Grade Healing Potion

Grade: Low-Grade

Type: Consumable

Quantity: 15

Description: A basic medicinal potion infused with restorative magic. Upon consumption, it accelerates the body’s natural healing process, gradually recovering minor wounds, bruises, and physical exhaustion. It cannot regenerate lost limbs, restore massive blood loss, or immediately heal life-threatening injuries.

Item Name: Amulet of Light

Grade: Low-Grade

Type: Defensive Accessory

Quantity: 1

Description: A magical amulet fashioned into the shape of a pendant and infused with a faint blessing of light. When worn, it generates a thin protective barrier that reduces incoming physical and magical damage by 5%. The amulet offers limited protection against weak spells but provides little resistance against powerful magical attacks.

Effect: +5% Damage Resistance

Durability: 450

Restriction: Must be worn to activate its effect.

Kyle examined the three entries once more before nodding in satisfaction.

The Mana Bombs gave him a way to deal with enemies without relying entirely on his own abilities. The healing potions would be useful if he suffered minor injuries, while the Amulet of Light offered a little additional protection against attacks he might otherwise struggle to withstand.

Of course, none of these items would make him invincible.

He understood that perfectly well. ℯℓ.

Still, having something was better than having nothing.

"That should be plenty for now."

He closed the item descriptions and checked the remaining contents of his inventory.

Alongside his combat supplies, he had purchased a few inexpensive necessities and leisure items. He had even bought some spare clothing and a small portable shed, which had cost him a combined total of two hundred coins.

The shed wasn’t anything luxurious, but having a place to rest would be considerably better than sleeping on bare ground every night.

He had considered buying enchanted clothing with defensive properties, too. Unfortunately, the prices had quickly extinguished that idea.

"I would’ve loved to buy clothes with some defense, but that shit starts at twenty thousand points. Fuck that!"

Kyle shook his head.

"Only genuinely rich people can afford that stuff."

He wasn’t one of them. Not yet, anyway.

And the worst part was that his recent shopping spree had put him back into debt. Another five thousand System Points.

He sighed as he recalled the transaction.

He had only recently finished paying off the eight thousand System Points he had borrowed to purchase his skills. After finally clearing that debt, he had expected to enjoy at least a little financial freedom.

Instead, he had immediately borrowed another five thousand.

The System’s loans might not charge interest, but that didn’t make owing money particularly pleasant.

His previous experiences with debt had left a bitter impression on him. Back when he had struggled financially on Earth, the people demanding repayment hadn’t always been patient or polite. Loan sharks had shown up at his door, hurled insults, and treated him like dirt whenever he couldn’t pay on time.

Even though his current circumstances were different, those memories still made him uncomfortable whenever he saw his outstanding balance.

He hated the feeling of owing someone money.

Unfortunately, survival sometimes required spending more than he wanted to. Also, it was a good deal compared to the market.

"At least I’m earning hundreds of System Points every day from my videos," he muttered, trying to reassure himself. "And the new videos I’ve scheduled should keep generating income while I’m gone."

His existing videos could continue earning him points through their views, and the newly scheduled uploads would provide another potential source of revenue. As long as everything went according to plan, he wouldn’t be broke at all and might as well be rich.

That was the hope, at least.

He couldn’t guarantee how much he would earn while away, but he had done what he could to establish a steady income stream before leaving.

"Whatever. I’ll make it back once I start earning properly in the new world."

Kyle dismissed his inventory and stretched his arms.

He had spent enough time worrying about money. The preparations were complete, his supplies were ready, and the ticket was waiting to be used.

There was only one thing left to do before departure.

He needed to tell Lira.

Kyle’s excitement softened slightly as he thought about his girlfriend. Although he was looking forward to his adventure, he couldn’t simply disappear without informing her. Even if he planned to return to Earth after his temporary ticket expired, she deserved to know he was going and he would be unavailable for her for the time being.

He also needed to consider how he would explain his temporary absence without revealing about the System or the fact he was going to a different to make porn.

"Right. I should talk to her first."

He glanced at the time and considered whether she would already be awake.

Then he picked up his phone, ready to contact her.

His first interdimensional journey was only hours away or perhaps even minutes, depending on how quickly he could settle everything.
