Chapter 1365: Chapter 364: Immortal Sect Phase 2_6

"Ah?!"

The disciples exclaimed in amazement.

What does Jiangnan mean? If they don’t come to us, we go there?

How are we supposed to go there?

The Ascension Gate was already fixed in place, deep within the wild mountains, so how could it possibly fly over to Jiangnan directly?

"That’s impossible, right?"

"Why not?" Yuchi smiled.

He had personally moved the Ascension Gate into these wild mountains years ago, and now, amidst the bewildered gazes of the disciples, something small appeared in his hand.

A tiny Immortal Stele.

This stele is the root of the Ascension Gate. It can fly directly, and he can use this small stele to observe some surrounding situations, akin to launching a drone back then, placing the Ascension Gate amidst the ancient wilderness.

Otherwise, the distance between Jiangnan and the Ascension Gate was such that he couldn’t have traversed it as a mere mortal.

Then, amidst the disciples’ gasps, the Immortal Stele left his hand and lifted off again.

In the blink of an eye, it disappeared from sight.

After a brief moment of confusion, an entire gigantic mountain gate had already risen from the ground, like a terrifying, awe-inspiring flying island!

The scene was quite astounding, amidst the boundless mountains, such a flying island was traveling silently and slowly.

It was advancing steadily and swiftly toward Jiangnan’s location.

Majestic and grand!

Wild beasts in the mountain wilderness lifted their heads, gazing in confusion at this immense object in the sky.

All was dead silent, shockingly awe-inspiring.

Yuchi had already chosen the location for the Ascension Gate, having wandered around Jiangnan for years not in vain.

The disciples were left speechless.

It really flew!

The entire mountain just lifted into the air like that! Leaving behind a very deep chasm, suddenly appearing amidst the mountains!

"This marks the end of the first stage for the Ascension Gate, starting today. Moving forward, we enter the second stage, tentatively named the Jiangnan Protective Campaign."

Yuchi spoke with a touch of adolescent bravado, his heart filled with boundless pride.

Being able to slowly make amends for things from his past life might be his greatest ever aspiration.

It was also his motivation.

Otherwise, if he wanted to be a languid fish, it would be too easy.

He had no lack of wealth now, nor disciples, and the Ascension Gate was thriving, not to mention the Immortal Robe Pavilion and business association.

He had gained much reputation and wealth, making stopping an easy choice.

But there’s no need.

Once a road is embarked upon, stopping becomes impossible.

What’s the saying?

Just do it.

He truly wanted to see what the heavens held.

Of course, placing the Ascension Gate closer to Jiangnan would certainly bring it to the attention of many.

But now it mattered little.

The Ascension Gate possessed the basic capability to resist, at least in the current Jiangnan region, with a disciple at the Nascent Soul Stage; generally, there wouldn’t be issues, not to mention his rapidly growing cultivation.

There’s little concern.

Overall, it’s relatively stable. Everything follows his inner plan. The second stage must proceed.

Steady, no reckless moves.

And after the flight of the Ascension Gate, a new location was already chosen.

Now, the distance from Jiangnan was at most a day’s travel, calculated even for the weakest disciples, and on a clear day, they might see the peak on the horizon.

Of course, to prevent disturbance to the Ascension Gate, Yuchi opened a mountain gate at the foot of the mountain.

Outside the gate stood a clear sign, personally penned by him, consisting of eight simple characters:

"Idle people stay out."

"No disciples accepted."

He certainly didn’t want a flood of random people at the Ascension Gate, ending up with lots of new disciples after a trip, which would be ridiculous.

These disciples might have unknown backgrounds, and if such idle people mingled in the Ascension Gate, it would be extremely troublesome.

Thus, disciples of the Ascension Gate needed proper management, else if such violations began, consequences would be unimaginable.

After pondering for a while, Yuchi suddenly noticed the surprisingly quiet surroundings, curiosity prompting him to glance around.

Only to find the disciples looking at him in shock and awe, evidently scared by his earlier demonstration.

But what’s that? He had even more impressive things, though they couldn’t be shown casually, lest heavenly outrage struck him down.
