<Chapter - 143 Abyssal Leviathan>

The submerged depths of the Sunken Atoll of Coralis stretched out into an endless cathedral of iridescent turquoise and deep lapis lazuli.

Beyond the primary ecological domes where the Aethelgard lay moored to the calcified white shelves, the ocean floor fell away into a massive, jagged chasm known to the ancient records as the Trench of the Sleeping Sovereign. Vast pillars of petrified abyssal ironwood rose from the abyss like the ribcage of an extinct world, overgrown with bioluminescent sea anemones and glowing azure corals that cast long, rippling ribbons of sapphire light across the water.

Through the pressurized observation corridor running beneath the dreadnought’s keel, Noah Kurtz walked with his familiar, unhurried slouch.

His hands were buried deep within the pockets of his dark woolen coat, his posture completely relaxed despite the thousands of tons of hydrostatic pressure pressing against the glass. His ash-black hair drifted across his brow in the soft, conditioned airflow of the corridor. Pinned over his chest lapel, the dark ironwood leaf brooch absorbed the ambient tidal mana, radiating a tranquil, steady warmth directly over his heart. Underneath his coat sleeves, his black ironwood forearm guards lay quiet, their internal Ki circulating in an effortless, zero-waste loop.

Circulate.

Inside his core, the newly integrated Primordial Coral Key and his 5.75% Memory Cabinet Synchronization hummed with quiet, steady vitality. His meridians felt completely refreshed, the ancient bio-mana of the 12th Cycle filtering out any residual fatigue from the long voyage across the frozen seas.

Walking directly beside him, her pale, slender fingers intertwined naturally within his right palm, was Rin Asakura.

Rin wore her ocean-tailored lavender kimono with flowing navy ribbons, her white woolen shawl resting softly over her shoulders. Her simple wooden practice sword was secured at her left hip, swaying with weightless grace at every step.

Her crystalline violet eyes looked out through the glass into the deep abyss, open, luminous, and completely serene.

Without a blindfold, and with the full depth of Asura’s Touch intertwined with her unsealed void-sight, Rin perceived the immense, breathing rhythm of the oceanic trench. She didn’t merely see the schools of glowing deep-sea fish; she felt the colossal, dormant presence sleeping three miles down within the basalt seabed.

Slowly, Rin leaned her shoulder gently against Noah’s arm, her delicate fingers tightening their warm, devoted grip around his palm.

"A mountain is sleeping beneath the current, Noah..." Rin whispered softly, her melodic, formal cadence carrying an intimate sweetness that touched his ear. "Its heartbeat is slow—one breath every hundred years. It does not carry malice or hunger. It rests like an ancient guardian whose watch has long been forgotten by the sky."

Noah looked down into her clear violet eyes, his steel-gray gaze softening with genuine, unshakeable tenderness. He gently squeezed her fingers, his thumb caressing the soft curve of her knuckles with quiet warmth.

"That is the Abyssal Leviathan of the 12th Cycle, Rin," Noah spoke softly, his flat, rasping whisper carrying the calm depth of ancient eons. "When the ancient architects flooded the lowlands to preserve the world’s roots, they bound the creature to the continental shelf to act as a living ballast. As long as it sleeps in equilibrium, the tectonic rifts cannot tear the sea apart."

Rin stepped closer into his space, resting her cheek gently against his shoulder while holding his entwined hand against her heart.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

"And because you carry the Coral Key, it knows you are its keeper," Rin murmured, her breath warm against his coat. "It breathes in rhythm with your step."

Behind them in the corridor, the heavy, rhythmic crunch-slap of rubber soles broke the poetic stillness of the glass gallery.

Jiho Park trudged forward, dragging his faded, scuffed slide sandals lazily across the metal floor. Over his broad right shoulder, the massive S-Rank Juggernaut balanced his oversized canvas duffel bag, packed full of dried meats, bread from Riverbend, and the heavy refined gold matrix ore from District 9. In his left hand, he held a massive roasted sea-crab claw the size of an iron shield, cracking the shell with his bare teeth with a loud, contented crunch.

"Man," Jiho mumbled around a mouthful of sweet, steaming crab meat, his droopy eyes half-shut as he peered through the glass. "Master, this big aquarium is peaceful, but that giant shadow down there looks bigger than three guild headquarters stacked together. If it wakes up and sneezes, is it going to shake the ship while I’m eating lunch?"

"It won’t wake up, Jiho," Noah replied smoothly, a dry, subtle smirk touching the corner of his lips. "Unless you drop your crab claw in the ballast vents."

"I would never drop food, Master," Jiho replied solemnly, nodding with absolute gravity. "Food security is my primary defensive responsibility."

Strolling lightly to Noah’s left, Chloe Harrington flipped her silver coin in a high, glittering arc through the blue light.

Clink. Snap.

She wore her dark leather duster unbuttoned over a light linen vest, her dead platinum revolvers resting quietly in their holsters. Her sharp amber eyes glowed with brilliant golden probability lines as she surveyed the deep trench below.

"Probability vectors on the Leviathan’s hibernation: ninety-nine point nine percent stable, Boss," Chloe reported with a sharp, rebellious smirk. "The bio-harmonic frequency emitted by your Coral Key completely neutralizes its dormant territorial instinct. It thinks the Aethelgard is just an old piece of drift-coral floating on the surface."

"Look at the atmospheric density readings along the eastern rift, Boss!" Alistair Vance blurted out, breathlessly jogging up the corridor while adjusting his brass-rimmed walking spectacles.

Alistair carried his portable espresso rig strapped to his chest, clutching a steaming ceramic mug in one hand and a glowing holographic scanner in the other.

"The stabilizing bio-field from Record Fragment #035 has uncovered a hidden thermal gateway at the eastern edge of the atoll!" Alistair shouted with academic ecstasy. "It leads directly to The Sunken Library of the 12th Architects—the place where the secondary anchor, Record Fragment #036, is sealed!"

Noah Kurtz stopped before the grand observation viewport at the end of the corridor.

Through the translucent blue water, illuminated by the gentle glow of primordial coral, the silhouette of a colossal submerged citadel carved from white star-iron and petrified mother-of-pearl rose from the eastern trench. Its grand entrance gates were sealed by an ancient bio-kinetic lock, pulsing in rhythmic harmony with the Coral Key resting within his spirit.

DING. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ [Primordial Anchor Vector Detected]

Location: Sunken Library of the 12th Architects

Target: Record Fragment #036 (The Sovereign Pearl Key)

Status: Bio-Lock Receptive to Coral Authority

Environmental Threat: Zero Kinetic Hostility ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Deep within Noah’s consciousness, the infinite shelves of the Memory Cabinet hummed with ancient, maritime records and architectural designs from the dawn of the 12th Cycle.

Noah turned his steel-gray eyes toward the submerged citadel, his posture completely relaxed as he pulled his hands from his coat pockets.

Beside him, Rin Asakura stepped smoothly to his side, her crystalline violet eyes luminous with quiet wonder and absolute trust. She gently rested both hands around his arm, her cheek leaning lightly against his worn woolen sleeve.

"The library has kept its vigil, Noah..." Rin murmured softly, her breath warm against his coat.

"It’s kept its vigil, Rin," Noah Kurtz said quietly, his hand closing gently over hers. "Let’s go unseal the second key."
