Seraphina held the Skill Upgrade Card and, without hesitation, used it on her [Scavenging Backpack].

The card instantly burst with a dazzling blue light before dissolving into countless motes of light that vanished into the air.

The Skill Upgrade Card had been used.

"That’s it?" She stretched a little, not feeling any change in her body.

But when she focused her mind on the Scavenging Backpack’s Space, her eyes flew open in shock.

The Space, which had originally been the size of a few shipping containers, had now expanded to become as vast as a high school soccer field!

Her neatly arranged supplies now occupied only a small corner, making the area feel exceptionally vast.

What was even more amazing was that all her items were now automatically sorted and suspended in different areas. With a single thought, any item she wanted would instantly appear in her hand.

’This Space... I’ll be able to hoard at least dozens of times more supplies!’ Seraphina was ecstatic, already compiling a shopping list in her mind.

Stockpiling supplies was the most important part of surviving the apocalypse, and now she no longer had to worry about running out of room.

After calming her excitement, she took out the other two cards.

The [Pet Contract Card] glowed with a faint red light, its surface etched with complex runes.

Without a second thought, Seraphina summoned Flora from her Space.

RUSTLE—

Purplish-red vines unfurled from her arm. Flora’s bud poked out curiously, looking from side to side.

Upon feeling the humid air of the real world—it was raining outside—the plant began to wriggle in excitement. It clearly loved this kind of environment.

"Flora, I have a gift for you." Seraphina smiled, pressing the Contract Card onto its largest vine.

The card erupted in a brilliant red light, dissolving into countless tiny runes that sank into the Decaying Flower’s body.

The next second, a sweet, child-like voice suddenly echoed in Seraphina’s mind. "Owner! Owner!"

Seraphina stared at Flora in astonishment. The ferocious Cannibal Flower was now "shyly" covering its massive maw with a vine, a faint pink blush coloring its bud.

Seraphina: "..."

The abrupt change in character left her momentarily speechless.

Who would have thought that the Decaying Flower, which had greedily devoured giant bugs in the dungeon, would turn into such a coddled, cute thing (or maybe ugly-cute? or just bizarre?) after forming a contract?

"You can talk now? Or is this the Mind Sensing Ability?" Seraphina asked tentatively.

"I don’t know, but it feels like Owner can understand my thoughts now! And of course, I understand Owner’s thoughts too," Flora’s voice echoed directly in her mind.

Seraphina understood this was an Effect of the Pet Contract Card.

Flora’s vines danced joyfully. "I like Owner the best! Now I can eat stuff with Owner forever!"

Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Seraphina patted its bud. She never expected the contract would unlock a chatterbox trait.

Still, having a Battle Pet that would never betray her was a great comfort.

Finally, she turned her attention to the [Weapon Fusion Card].

A silvery light swirled across its surface, where the faint image of two crossed weapons could be seen.

Seraphina didn’t know who she should use it on.

So she set it aside for later.

She hadn’t finished looking through her system rewards yet.

Seraphina suddenly remembered the extra reward the system had mentioned. Because she had exposed Tina Lewis as an Advanced Player who violated the rules, the system had promised to reward her with one of the items Tina had been carrying.

’As a Level 3 Advanced Player, she must have had some great stuff on her, right?’ Full of anticipation, Seraphina accessed the system to claim her reward.

A faint light flashed, and a quaint, gray ring appeared in her palm.

The ring was exquisitely crafted, its face etched with delicate patterns. It looked unremarkable at first glance, but it felt strangely cool to the touch.

"A ring?" Seraphina raised an eyebrow and immediately put on her Analysis Glasses to use Item Identification.

[Transformation Ring]

Ability One: Physical Transformation: Allows the user to alter their body shape and appearance.

Ability Two: Vocal Transformation: Allows the user to alter their vocal cords and change their voice.

Ability Three: Aura Transformation: Allows the user to alter their Aura, making them difficult for others to detect.

Seeing the Transformation Ring’s description,

"This... this is incredibly useful!" Seraphina’s eyes widened in pleasant surprise.

Its effects were extremely practical.

She eagerly slipped the ring onto her right index finger. It automatically resized, fitting her perfectly.

Walking over to her full-length mirror, Seraphina focused her will on the ring, which grew slightly warm.

She activated Ability One and Ability Two.

Her reflection in the mirror began to twist and change.

Her facial features gradually blurred. Her height changed slightly, and even her hair color shifted from black to flaxen brown.

In just a few seconds, she had taken on the appearance of a completely different person.

’Amazing...’ she thought. She tried speaking and found that her voice had become a clear, girlish tone.

This change wasn’t a simple visual illusion but a genuine physical alteration, right down to her bones and muscle tissue. Not even the most precise instruments would be able to detect the deception.

Flora drew closer curiously. One of its vines gently touched its owner’s transformed face, and then its bud tilted in confusion—her appearance had changed, but her Aura was still that of its familiar owner.

Seraphina paced back and forth in the room excitedly. "Now I won’t have to worry about anyone recognizing me in dungeons! I won’t have to bundle up in layers anymore!"

She remembered the frustrating days of having to hide her identity, forced to wear masks and baggy clothes.

With this ring, she could change her appearance at will and no longer had to worry about her identity as a Player being exposed in the real world.

What excited her even more was the third ability.

This meant that in dungeons, she could better conceal her true power and even evade detection by other Players.

Seraphina couldn’t help but smile at the thought.

’But...’ She suddenly sobered. ’Why didn’t Tina Lewis use such a precious item?’

’Maybe she did use it. But even the best equipment can have its Waterloo.’

She thought of her own [Eye of Resume] Skill.

The thought sobered her completely.

’I can’t get arrogant. Who knows if there’s a more powerful item or Skill out there that can see through the Transformation Ring?’

’My Eye of Resume can see data, but it can’t see through a Disguise. That’s its weakness.’

’So, I can’t get cocky.’

She tried transforming a few more times.

"Perfect." She nodded in satisfaction and changed back to her original form.

From now on, this [Transformation Ring] would be one of her most important trump cards.

Seraphina looked at her Disaster Game data panel.
