Seeing the Decaying Flower’s obedient, fawning appearance, Seraphina Sullivan realized the Spirit Mutation Spider Silk in her hand was no longer needed.

She had prepared for the worst.

If the savage plant made any strange moves, she would immediately use this precious silk, which could turn its target into a puppet, to control it.

Although the Spirit Mutation Silk was a one-time consumable, it would have been worth it to gain a powerful ally.

But seeing the Decaying Flower’s current fawning expression, Seraphina Sullivan chuckled. "Well, that saved me a good item." She returned the Spirit Mutation Spider Silk to her Space.

However, the Decaying Flower seemed far from full. After devouring all her provisions, it used a vine to pitifully point at its own large, slime-covered mouth.

Even though it clearly had no eyes, Seraphina somehow felt the creature was looking at her with a pitiful expression.

’You don’t look pitiful at all like that.’

"Alright, alright, stop acting pitiful."

Seraphina rubbed her temples.

Clearly, the Decaying Flower wanted to follow her.

Seraphina had been planning to tame this creature anyway.

"Hm, in that case, once I give you a name, you’ll be mine."

Seraphina pondered.

"What should I name you?"

An idea struck Seraphina.

"I’ll call you Flora. Yes, simple and pleasant."

Decaying Flower (Flora): Master, I think it would be better if you didn’t have any more flashes of inspiration.

Seraphina: "Hm, you’re not saying anything. That means you agree."

Ignoring Flora’s resentful look, Seraphina finalized the name.

Flora: What can I say? I’m just a flower. Ahem... a Tyrant Flower.

"I’ll take you hunting tomorrow, and you can eat as much as you want. That should be enough, right?" Seraphina declared.

’It’s the perfect opportunity to take Flora along to finish the collection quests for the other insects.’

Flora immediately perked up, its vines dancing cheerfully. It even tried to get closer and rub against Seraphina’s face.

With a disgusted look, Seraphina blocked it with her hand. "Stop! You still have slime on your mouth!"

Up close, Seraphina could see the large, sharp teeth inside Flora’s bud-like mouth.

Just then, a brilliant idea struck Seraphina.

She took out the Spider Queen Poison Fang she had collected earlier and dangled it in front of the Decaying Flower. "Want this?"

The Decaying Flower’s bud snapped open, revealing the sharp teeth within, and all its vines began to tremble with excitement.

Of course it wanted it—this was a precious material from a higher-level predator!

"I can give you one," Seraphina said, smiling slyly, "but you have to promise that you’ll listen to me from now on."

Flora nodded.

Without hesitating, Seraphina tossed a fang from the Tanner Spider Queen to Flora.

Flora swallowed it in one gulp. Then...

This time, it wasn’t instantly digested like before.

Flora began to curl up.

Seraphina had a feeling that Flora was absorbing it to trigger an Evolution.

She watched for a while, but there didn’t seem to be any major issues.

Seraphina then turned her attention to her other gains.

Namely, the Power Apples.

Seraphina’s gaze fell on the pile of shimmering green Power Apples in her Space.

She took one out and held it in her palm. The apple was quite large, about the size of a fist, with a smooth, cool skin that emitted a faint green glow.

"I’ll try one and see. Let’s find out how much Power it increases. Besides, these Power Apples have a chance of granting the user a Special Ability. I wonder if I’ll be that lucky."

She muttered to herself. Since it was safe here and she detected no danger, she bit into it without much hesitation.

To her surprise, the Power Apple tasted quite good.

The flesh was crisp and juicy, with a light, sweet aroma, even more delicious than a normal apple.

Seraphina finished the entire apple in a flash—yep, she didn’t even leave the core.

After finishing it, she waited quietly for a moment, but no changes came.

"What’s going on?" Seraphina frowned.

’Did it go bad from being stored too long?’

Just as she was about to take out another one to try, a warm current suddenly surged from her stomach.

The sensation was like drinking a mouthful of warm liquor; heat spread from her abdomen, gradually flowing through her limbs and into her bones.

"I see..." Seraphina realized.

’The Power Apple doesn’t take effect instantly. It requires a process of absorption and transformation.’

She sat cross-legged on the bed, carefully observing the changes in her body.

Wherever the warm current passed, it felt as if her muscle fibers were being rewoven, and her bone density was quietly increasing.

The most miraculous part was that although she could clearly perceive the process, there was no discomfort. On the contrary, it felt as comfortable as soaking in a hot spring.

"This feeling... it’s a bit like the Body Transformation Pills," Seraphina mused.

She glanced at the time. It would still be a while before the absorption was complete, so she simply took out another Power Apple.
