Chapter 229: Chapter 229: The Invisibility Sticker and Mysterious Whisper Sticker Combination

If Sean Chandler followed her around like a shadow inside the safe zone, it would look strange and draw suspicion.

"Sean Chandler," Seraphina said, her tone calm.

"You can’t just hover around me all the time in the safe zone. Is there anything you want to do, or anything you’re interested in?"

Sean Chandler thought about it for a moment, then shook his head and replied.

"I don’t really have anything specific I want to do. If possible, I could use some of the extra supplies we’ve collected to set up a stall in the Player trading area."

"On one hand, we could get rid of things we don’t need and trade for resources we do. On the other, I could use the opportunity to interact with more Players and gather information about different dungeons. It should help us understand the game’s trends and prepare in advance."

Seraphina nodded, thinking it was a good idea.

It was clear Sean Chandler had the same idea she did.

"Yes, that’s a great idea. That way, you can build your own social circle and make some connections. But be careful and stay vigilant."

Just then, the ten-minute upgrade timer was up.

[DING! Scavenger’s Farm upgrade complete! The Space has been reopened!]

Seraphina’s spirits lifted.

She immediately entered the brand-new farm Space.

The moment she entered,

she saw Flora directing Chubbs and Tubbs, while Moe directed the other Silenti.

They were dragging the corpses of the "night monsters" toward the newly expanded area at the edge of the Space.

The once-cramped Space was now wide open, its area more than doubled in size!

The newly expanded farming and breeding grounds gave off a fertile Aura, waiting to be sown and cultivated.

Flora, who was always in charge of "managing" the Space, immediately swayed its vines.

"Master! You’re here! The Space suddenly got a lot bigger! We moved these ’foods’ over to that empty area!"

It gestured toward the huge night monster corpses that had been dragged to the edge of the new zone.

Seraphina followed its gesture and nodded.

Those night monster corpses, which were delicious "food" to Flora, were now giving Seraphina a headache.

Looking at the mountain of grotesque corpses, a practical problem surfaced in her mind.

Although her Scavenger’s Farm Space was convenient, it didn’t have the ability to stop time or preserve things forever.

The large amount of pork she had brought back from the Animal Slaughterhouse dungeon would have spoiled and rotted long ago if she hadn’t noticed and processed it in time.

If it had spoiled, all her hard work hoarding it would have been for nothing.

Later, whenever she had a free moment, Seraphina had quickly processed the pork into long-lasting cured meat and jerky.

But now there was a problem.

What was she to do with this considerable number of night monster corpses?

’Should I follow the same recipe and make... night monster jerky?’

Seraphina’s gaze fell upon the corpse of a night rat—with its pitch-black fur, gnarled muscles, and ferocious features—and her stomach churned.

’...I just can’t do it!’

she wailed internally, an expression of utter revulsion on her face.

’Why did I, on a whim, hoard all these bizarre-looking corpses in here?’

’Thinking back on it, it was probably the [Food God’s Gourmet Atlas]’s fault!’

The moment she saw it indicated that these monster materials could be used to create food with special Effects, her damnable hoarding habit and "what if I need it later" mentality had completely taken over.

She hadn’t considered the practical problems of storage and processing at all.

’What should I do? I can’t just let them pile up here, taking up space, or just watch them go bad?’ Seraphina wondered, frowning.

Suddenly, she slapped her forehead in a moment of clarity. ’I’m so stupid! Isn’t the world outside a ready-made, natural deep freezer right now?’

She thought of the cryogenic world outside the safe zone, where it was seventy degrees below zero!

’Aren’t the vast white snow and solid ice the best refrigeration materials?’

’I can just use the ice and snow from outside to build an ice cellar or an icehouse inside the Space, can’t I?’

The thought was a revelation.

’This way, not only can these monster corpses be preserved by freezing, but any other meat I hoard in the future can be safely stored too. I’ll never have to worry about them spoiling quickly again!’

With the solution figured out, Seraphina immediately got to work.

Of course, she hadn’t forgotten about Sean Chandler’s plan.

She also took the opportunity to sort through the supplies she had gathered in Doomsday Game dungeons.

She took out the [Growth Potatoes] used for planting, the [Eyes] obtained from the Silenti using the Petrifying Apocalypse Seed, and the shimmering [scale powder] that had fallen from the wings of a Night Demon Moth.

She separated a portion of these miscellaneous materials and packed them up.

With a thought, she returned to the vehicle.

She handed the prepared package of materials to Sean Chandler.

"Take these. Go to the trading area in a bit and see if you can trade them for anything useful, or gather some information."

Sean Chandler took the package and nodded in understanding.

With that settled, Seraphina began preparing for her own "gathering" mission.

She planned to secretly leave the safe zone to collect the ice and snow needed to build the icehouse.

’Perfect. The things I just traded for can be put to use right away.’

A slight smile touched Seraphina’s lips as she took out the box of [Invisibility Stickers].

She carefully took one out and stuck it to the inside of her jacket.

The moment the sticker touched her clothing, she felt as if her entire body was being covered by a faint film of Energy.

In Sean Chandler’s view, her body vanished instantly!

But that wasn’t enough.

The [Invisibility Sticker] could only deceive sight; it couldn’t eliminate sound.

In the silent, snowy night, footsteps and even breathing could give her away.

She rummaged through her Storage Space and pulled out another type of sticker.

[Mysterious Whisper Sticker]

This sticker’s Effect was to create a weak sound-insulating field in a spherical area with a radius of about two meters around it, effectively preventing subtle noises from within from being overheard.

’Visual invisibility plus localized sound suppression—they complement each other perfectly!’

Satisfied, Seraphina stuck the [Mysterious Whisper Sticker] on herself as well.

It happened to overlap with the [Invisibility Sticker]’s effective area.

To test the effect, she deliberately jumped in place a couple of times and whispered a few words.

To her, the sounds were perfectly clear, but to Sean Chandler’s senses, the spot where Seraphina stood was completely silent, as if nothing was there. Even the faint sounds of her breathing and heartbeat were completely blocked.

’Perfect! This is an amazing combination for ambushes and stealth!’

Seraphina marveled.

’Morgan Brooks himself probably never imagined that the two items he considered somewhat useless could produce such an effect when combined in my hands!’
